Parsonblue
Sad to hear about the passing of Ken Taylor. I remember him well from my early days following the Rovers. Joined the Rovers as a youngster in the early 50s and remained until 1964. Was a regular in the side which won promotion under Johnny Carey in 1957-58 before losing his place to John Bray for the 1959-60 season. After that, he and Bray vied for the right-back spot before Ken left for Morecambe in the summer of 1964. A regular with the reserves whenever not in the first team, Ken was a loyal servant to Blackburn Rovers and hopefully the club will honour him at tomorrow's game. He was a good player and a good guy. Tyrone Shoelaces
Yeah I remember him well also. He'd be playing when I first started going to Ewood. Nice, steady un- complicated player. Like most fullbacks in those days, better defending than going forward. He'd walk into the team we have today. A good servant for the club. Thanks for the memories Ken. Claytons Left Boot
I worked, briefly, with his son many, many moons ago. Unbelievably he was a Burnley fan. RIP.
