Rover the dog just tweeted that he is looking forward to wearing the new kit tomorrow ant that he has a special guest to look after.

Regardless of the sponsor being a bit RUFF, could Rover be talking about a new signing?

Or the Liverpool mascot? or a Mrs Rover mascot

    That sponsor is absolutely horrendous.

Tom mentioned earlier that there does not seem to be  a set colour for the sponsors logo, looking at the website . social media etc he is right , so why they went with black instead of  dark blue to at least match the socks , who knows.

Having seen the full kit it is almost identical to the Zebra home strip. I don't mind the pale blue as I think it makes a nice change from time to time. Don't like the socks at all, would be better in pale blue or white.

Think the socks are the only part of it that looks good

  5. Lets hope umbro "celebrate history" from the late 60's and early 70's next season

I presume the back of the shirt is halved? from this pic the backing seems one colour

Edit just seen official pic and it is halved on the back

They're not the kits, but someone on Facebook is saying that betuk.com will be our sponsors and they're also sponsoring Swansea

Just had a look on the Swansea site, you have the option of adding a logo of another of Leovegas recent company purchases 21.co.uk to their training gear (you have to pay for the addition), can't see many taking that option.Link

Wonder if the training gear at Rovers will have the same, if that particular company is the sponsor?

Again I’ve been drawn to comment on this thread. I’m sure I speak for the majority of people who simply want to come on here and read peoples views on various players we get linked with my views below.

It seems at least 50% of posts are from this character called “Chaddyrovers”, every post has some form of passive aggressive tone, often quoting 5 different people in one, questioning each one with stuff like “really????, Why???? ” Etc.. This as you can imagine makes it very difficult to follow.

When will the mods limit this tyrant so he can only post links?! He adds nothing but arguments and confusion.

Just watching the Smallwood interview on IFollow on the Rovers site. Really interesting.
Seems like there was an undercurrent of annoyance from Smallwood not only about how long it took to get the new contract finalized, but also the length of the contract.

The contract is essentially a 12 months extension to his contract with likely increased wages. Personally I'd have liked him to get a longer deal and wonder why it wasn't a longer deal.

Has anyone else seen this interview, if so what do people think?

So it takes the contract to 2020 which I think is fair enough , gives him enough incentive to earn a new one when we are back in the Premiership the season the contract ends :)

Kent was poor for Barnsley? Really?

Aim a little higher then Gallagher? Like who???

Massive BS from you there. Maybe its time I ignore you for a while.

Ive mention Gallagher, Armstrong and Chapman before the season ended

I think anybody who has commented on games last season will also have mentioned Armstrong and Champman and probably a few of those would have mentioned Gallagher from the previous season in comparison , Does everybody get a prize?

From the two or three Birmingham games I watched (Live on TV) last season, Gallagher looked a little bit stronger than he did the previous season at Rovers, still not the finished article but only 22, as for being street wise enough to play the lone forward role if we play that way not convinced. If the terms of a lone deal are decent worth another chance.

I'm surprised our transfer budget is not 5 million and a few loans - the lying cow!

Widening the jumpers again though mate.

The question as I answered it was ‘would you prefer England to win a World Cup or Rovers to win a promotion’?

I’ve never seen England win a World Cup and it’s hugely likely that I never will. I’ve seen Rovers win promotion three times.

Seems to have turned into a complete club v country debate.

oh ok, with regards to the question , Rovers promotion for me every time.

Would be more benefitial* to the club than England winning the World Cup

    *under normal circumstances

It’s sad that as a nation people have become so apathetic to the national side.

Being British or English used to stand for something.

It is not a case of that at all.

Never seen England win the world cup , but I have never seen Rovers win the FA cup either , and I know which one I would prefer.

Would England winning the WC benefit Rovers? apart from maybe a few extra at Ewood on the wave of football fever , probably not.

Personally I give the Football Association England team probably more interest and respect than the FA gave to one of their leagues founder members being raped and pillaged by one of their approved agents under full view of one of their old ties , think that is fair enough.

Not taking into account the previous  paragraph, it has always been Rovers first England second for me

Later in transfer window 500k + add ons.

After seeing the posh chairman’s tweets, perhaps my glass half full attitude is telling me that we’ve almost signed Marcus Maddison. Either that or the 4 cans of Red Stripe...!

    Alan Mixon @Reluctantnico  Just now

Unusual, 2 cans incoming, Jamacian, 56 easy payments, might only be one, unbelievable

    Bit in paper #rovers #venkys
