Not wanting to jump to any conclusions but this is the latest, very sad news from Chorley FC;
This morning, with regret, we have accepted Matt Jansen’s resignation as manager of Chorley Football Club with immediate effect.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed all the years I’ve spent at Chorley FC,” Jansen told chorleyfc.com. “I am sure the Club will go from strength to strength with the squad that has been assembled for the new 2018/19 season and wish the team every success in the years ahead.”
We would like to put on record our appreciation for all that Matt has achieved in eight years of service as player, coach and manager and wish him all the best for the future.
Chorley supporters very disappointed and in a state of shock! Following Flitcroft and Jansen, can you suggest another former Rovers player who could take on the management role at Chorley?
No , but I know of someone looking for a job who was employed by the people who were running Rovers at one stage, managed in the Prem, League winner abroad and managed an international team, If you have a well stocked bar at Chorley (and give him a driver/bodyguard) I am sure he will be ideal . (just keep the club safe locked in case his mate from Barnet turns up )

Who on earth is Sanal Sel?
Quick google brings up loads of links to Turkish sites, therefore obviously Tugay on his way back

Mowbray said last night that Dunny wouldn't be replaced and that Johnson would run the Under-23s on his own.
Oh ok, thanks Parsonblue, not seen that.
EDIT: Apparently problems between himself and the CEO and owners of the club

If he was taking over as U23's manager I could see that making sense, would he want to come here as a U23 assistant though?
After the job he has done at Chorley he could easily be in with a shout of getting a managers gig at the next level up.
Agree, might be just a coincidence with Dunn officially leaving.
Perhaps @Lancashire lad might have some insight

Don't know if this should be in here, but Matt Jansen has stepped down as Chorley manager with immediate effect, New Assistant manager of the U23's ?

Sure I read that it was the clubs themselves that lobbied for midweek games to be largely against teams from afar, due to wanting to maximise away followings on a Saturday.
Yes I am sure you are right, I also remember reading something along those lines.
Regarding the ifollow midweek games for those in the UK, they are an addition to the standard UK subscription and are 10 quid per game

The away support will average out at about just over a thousand this season i'd wager, just like the previous championship years. Respectable when you take into account a lot of the prices, daft midweek treks and TV but at the same time embarrassing when we probably take 3/400 to Derby etc.
PNE & Wigan home and away back to back and treks to Yorkshire back to back then Swansea and the like away in midweek, idiotic !
Or a clever move to get the subscription numbers up for EFL ifollow considering the broadcast of midweek games?

Guess: Leeds away moved to 2.15am Sunday by the LUFC Broadcasting company

Amazing how a Russian team who couldn't play worth a damn before the tournament are suddenly apparently one of the best teams in the competition. Granted they've played two horrendous teams, but it's funny how both have basically rolled over for the hosts.
A couple of men dressed in bio hazard suits had a word with both opposition teams at half time

Shove in the back of Egyptian defender before the ball deflected off his knee? , no VAR? or are they afraid to use it

So much for my predictive powers. Japan well on top of the Colombia ten.
Best team in the AFC for me , despite what the Fifa rankings say.
