Don't know if anyone has posted this, apologies if so but 3 ex-Rovers selected for this World Cup---Jones, Kalinc and N'Zonzi. Kalinic got sent home before it began unfortunately, N'Zonzi played in France's third game.
Echoes of what we were.
Four, Jamie Maclaren , did not play in any games despite Australia's abysmal efforts in front of goal
Edit: oops on re-reading you said selected which presume you meant played

Leeds and Preston will have been moved due to the ridiculous safety advice, the same advice that allows 5,000 Rovers fans to travel to Preston on a Saturday for a tea time game and the same advice that allows both Rovers and Burnley to play at home on a Thursday night on TV.
I hope that Sky Sports come along and pick one of those for live broadcast (with Leeds it is highly likely) and the game is then moved back to 5pm. Then it show just what a joke the whole thing is.
I have a feeling those two games will be shown live outside UK

Looks like PC plod are part of the new management team considering the first couple of home game changes

Watching Belgium in this match is like watching that Simpsons football parody where three players are passing it between themselves repeatedly.

So, I'm sure one has read up or remembers how Argentina made the Dutch wait for the National Anthem.
Accusations of speed use by the Argies, that's pretty well known.
Throwing games for Argentina to advance, grain shipments from Peru, call it a great World Cup. We can all read up on it ourselves.
By the way, this is why they play these games at the same time now, so no one can cheat.
I thought that was because of 1982 when West Germany and their neighbours Austria passed the ball to each other with no shots for 90 minutes to knock Algeria out , who had played the previous day
EDIT: It was that game that prompted the same day for games

Waiting for another 95th minute German winner. South Korea look stronger than Sweden defensively but I'm sure it's coming.
looking that way unfortunately

Swedes given a chance at a PK, it looks real to me..... that would make it 2-0 if they make it....
As it stands Germany going home , my heart breaks

Thats like being the worlds tallest dwarf. A tall dwarf i grant you but still not tall enough to be an owner occupier of an enchanted beanstalk.
Disgraceful height discrimination , the word is vertically challenged, and what is to say a slightly less vertically challenged person can not rise to be the owner occupier of the enchanted beanstoke*
*That is if an Argentinian vertically challenged person has not just got there and tried to claim it as their own

Pleased to see them progress. Don't understand the irrational hatred of Argentina. I want to see the greatest player of all time perform and create moments to remember.

What a shame for Nigeria, feel sorry for my email buddy who works for the Nigerian Government think he is over there spending some of that money he keeps trying to give me, not heard from him since the WC started

Hopefully that spurs Nigeria on to grab a winner , if it happens will be disappointed if there is not a caption under a photo of the penalty that reads " Moses parting the Messsi"

BTW, for those not watching this match, Tim Cahill at 38 years old, came on for Australia. They are playing a little better now, 19 minutes in normal time.
At least the sponsors of the Aussie team will be happy now Golden boy got game time, I presume the striker who has been bang on form towards the end of season (granted it was in the Scottish Prem ) was injured hence no minutes in a team that was struggling to score

"He" would be Clotet, Derek Fazackerley and Robinson?
EDIT-Oops I realise you meant "played in".
Sod it I've looked at Wikipedia and he's never played for Oldham. As Ladyboys says it was the "Oxford forum" Jacknory meant not Oldham. 69 appearances for Oxford over 2 seasons and I'm not sure whether that includes cup appearances. Wikipedia only seems to show League apps in the stats for whatever reason.
Transfermarkt gives a breakdown of all games he played in , including cups, subs appearances , minutes played etc

There is no mention of Rovers on their official site (last time i looked since its relaunch) so doubt they would bother with their neglected child on another site . Although apart from the adverts it does have the same made on a commodore 64 circa 1999 look about it , and the big giveaway
