If Oyston was really vindictive he could follow the Walker Trust route and flog them on the cheap to the first dodgy folk who show the money....

If Mr Rapey and Son are reading this and want to go down that route , I know a semi retired gentleman who seems to have similar contempt for certain football clubs and seems to have the  FA under his thumb ,  works for free and will sleep at the training ground to find them a suitable buyer.  Also can help with getting them a Defender  who produces a memorable tackle and can help p### off the blackpool fans even more by supplying a coach on takeover who has managed at International level and is world travelled (comes with free Sky Sports and talksport press team)

If you don't sniff foul play in the Coyle appointment Vinjay I think you need the doc with that cold it must've been on you a long time. Even the clubs one and only home based director couldn't tell the truth on that one.

As for the alleged Kentaro lawsuit why hasn't all the details of this come to light ? Did it every actually go through or was it just posturing or even a smokescreen to put the FA off the scent ?

And if it did go ahead just what were they suing for exactly ?   Why didn't similar steps get taken towards Anderson himself and SEM ?

The Berg contract ended up in court and all the details are there, why did that contract get altered AFTER it was agreed then signed off by Shaw without permission of a head V ?

According to Nick Harris the F***wits v Kentaro stuff was settled out of court.

"The MoS obtained documents detailing Venky's legal battle with Kentaro, a fight both sides wanted kept secret. I took them to the FA's head of integrity, Newton, spreading them across his desk at Wembley Stadium in 2012.

'Where the hell did you get these?' he said, incredulous. He had no idea a club under the FA's jurisdiction was at war with an FA commercial partner. No action was taken.

Venky's settled out of court with Kentaro after several years."

Be interesting to actually see the documents related to this, Wonder why Venkys wanted to keep it quiet, can understand the FA business partners wanting to, surely if you were Venky's you would be quite happy to prove your innocence in all this, but then again if some details of the initial plan with your takeover partners did not paint you in a positive light

All Oystons have done at Blackpool is freeze out the agents and didn't wheel and deal in big money big contract players and kept the profits themselves whereas at Rovers a myriad of people have taken the money generated by tv income and big contract/fee wheeler dealing.

About time those here are brought to book, if Oystons followed a similar path to the happenings here they'd probably have got away with it by having 3rd parties bleed the money out but it would have cost them commission of course.

Rovers has been stitched up good and proper by a set of thieves who clearly knew what they were doing and a bunch of idiots who didn't.

Oyston's big mistake was not being a FA business partner, has we have seen that buys you a lot of space under the carpet at FA , PL and EFL HQ's. although he has done quite well so far with the lack of attention from the above.

just seen that game not on iFollow... because being shown abroad... I'm abroad but cant find it anyone a link Please.... annoyed!!!

As far as I can tell the game is not being shown live anywhere. According to ifollow support because the game was originally scheduled for tv coverage on the original date the broadcasters still hold the rights to it even though they are not showing it on the new date.

Send an email to ifollow@efl.com :) asking them which country the game is being showed in thus preventing it being broadcast on ifollow as per the terms and conditions (which does not mention anything about broadcasters holding the fixture for re-arranged dates)

Edit. Just sent the efl another email, as I remembered that when the game was originally scheduled nobody had the EFL tv rights in Australia, so there should be no reason why the game on the 31st of October should not be shown on ifollow in Australia. Doubt I will get a response as per usual with the EFL

How on EARTH have I only discovered 'The Thick of It' last week? Starting series 4 now on Netflix, reckon it's genuinely the funniest TV show I've ever watched.

    So many quotables!

Also search out the film spin off- In the loop  :) Along similar lines from this side of the world worth checking out is The Hallowmen only 12 episodes and quite tame compared to thick of it but funny. Also from the same company-  Utopia - series about a newly created Government department also worth a watch if you can find it.

We could do with some terrier-like players to give us more bite in midfield. Time to let some of our young reserves off the leash?

Speaking of midfielders ,what better way for the new dog friendly section to come into being than to name it after one of our former midfielders- The Simon Barker dog enclosure

  7. Sociable Soccer early access now out, initial thoughts

Plays pretty smooth , still a few bugs to iron out though too many to list (can foul loads and rarely get a card , not seen any injuries yet) Rovers are still in the Championship (or England B as it is called)

One thing that does stand out is either the players are too big or the pitch is too small

Computer AI is pretty poor at the moment as are keepers , stuck 4 past the Dingles in my first game so not all bad :)

Controller works well with the game (used a xbox 360 controller)

Can be played in the traditional sensi soccer overhead view or 3d (view), which is not as bad as I expected

Looking like lots of updates in the future

Not found a way to turn off shadows and  all the  graphic "enhancements" which are annoying especially the stuff around the flight of the ball. (edit - options now available)

Still lots of things that need to be implemented like online multiplayer etc

    $19.99 (USD) at the moment

Edit : Link and plenty of reviews http://store.steampowered.com/app/636690/Sociable_Soccer/

In boss mode looks like they have been looking at Rovers appointments for the first three Levels Rookie - Dodgy - Short straw :)  , should suggest to them an agent career mode first levels - Holdiay in Brunei -shadow club owners- FA in my pocket options

  8. Great idea as long as I can buy a season ticket for the doggy section and get a free one for the dog, and on the rare occasion doggy can not make it and stays at home watching doggy porn (crufts) on tv , I can still go in the doggy end without the rent-a-stasi taking my details down.

  9. For those in Aus, Bein sports have announced they have secured the EFL contract for the next 5 years. First live games on this weekend

Edit: apparently started last night with Cardiff v Leeds (just watched highlights, Junior Hoilett looking in fine form)

The only way to be able to see the game during normal hours is to watch a replay and it now looks like that will be 2 days after a game and then I have to get the wife to sign in because I don't want to see the score :).

Sat 10 pm and midweek 2.45am kick offs here, another benefit of living in  Westralia  :)

Is there anyone on line who lives in Aussie and has a subscription that can check on the replay of Rovers v Rotherham.

It was supposed to be available an hour ago and all I get is a black screen when I try to play it. The same thing happened with the Shrewsbury replay it wasn't available for hours after it was scheduled.

Anybody In Aus please check to see if its working.

    ]Cheers

    Hi JW

Just tried via chrome and getting a black screen and the controls play etc do nothing

The stuff directly in under the ifollow menu runs ok , highlights , interviews

Edit : tried with a clean install of firefox as well, same result.

How long is the deal for?

I wonder about the actual investment that's gone into it especially considering this:

    https://twitter.com/ianbiddybaxter/status/911587954816159744

That's impressive compared to the rumoured EFL ifollow content kit sent out to clubs

To be fair the video quality is better than I expected, hopefully they iron out the other problems during the season

By the way, where is the link to the live coverage?

When you login to your account via rovers, on the iFollow link there is Latest Videos, Match Highlights etc. but no 'Live coverage' link.

Go to matches, first team fixtures > match centre or just click the links alongside the fixture.

Pretty p***** with them today, password not recognised, 6 attempts to reset password , 0 emails received with reset link!

can u get audio as well as ptctures on the stream

If you mean commentary , Yes, but currently you have to open two tabs , first tab click on watch video (with crowd noise), second tab click the listen link with commentary.

It is out of sync , but if you pause video for approx 5/10 seconds its near enough, downside if you have brfcs open as well you know we are going to score before you see it :)

This is on desktop (windows) version of ifollow.

Also allows you to individually alter volume on each one with opening in two tabs.

It looks like there are plans to offer home or away commentary or crowd noise in the future on the video stream, but not holding my breath

Thanks PB, the mods must be getting slack because I'm sure extended highlights of the Bradford game were posted on here. I'd be interested to know from one of the owners of the site @Glenn if extended highlights are allowed.

Anyway, it's up on the Rovers site now for those with access.

    https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2017/august/rovers-v-mk-dons---extended-highlights/

Do you mean the link posted on page 20 of the Bradford game thread? That was a link to the official site, you still have to log in to ifollow to watch it though.

Can 'Ifollow' subscribers access all clubs stuff. Will these extended highlights also appear on Rovers page or is it just the away teams? Anyway, could someone who subscribes please post these highlights? Cheers.

Tested this the other week, you can log into other clubs websites/ifollow sections but the locked content remains locked, so you are basically locked into whatever team you subscribed with. Yes it will probably appear  on the Rovers iplayer at some stage , unfortunately even if it was possible posting the content on here would invite legal trouble for the poster and no doubt brfcs  .

Anything posted on the Rovers youtube channel is fair game though.

It's that time again - this is my band's new song 'Way Back'

As ever, it would mean the world to hear some feedback - hope all who have a listen enjoy it :)

The first part has got an early Buzzcocks feel to it, which is never a bad thing , really liked the first 2.40 or so minutes, a bit of constructive criticism hope you don't mind

Intro too long,  drums etc should kick in at around 14 seconds , and song would be more powerful/ effective if it ended at 2.40, Personally think everything after that does not add anything to the song, sometimes short and sweet is the way to go. If you really like the stuff after 2.40 maybe move a shortened version into the middle somewhere

    Look forward to hearing more

Edit: (just bookmarked your youtube channel for further listening)

The live video coverage is as close as you'll get to being in the stadium; no commentary, no replays, and only the noise inside the stadium to go off. In a way, it's a more real representation than what you get on normal TV. It takes a bit of getting used to. I suppose there's pros and cons to both versions.

I don't think there'll be any live coverage of the match against Burnley on iFollow (audio or visual) because it's the Carabao Cup.

You can actually replay incidents live so to speak on the bar at the bottom it shows cards and a ball for goals, just click near them and it plays them back, just click the live button and it goes back to current action, quite handy when you miss the first half and play it through on double speed at half time  :)
