  1. For those who have not seen the announcement in AU

Good news for those in Aus (well for the next 48 hours anyway) who have not managed to see a full game yet on Optus due to them being crap at delivering their "every" game streaming subscription and surprised in the four year run up at the demand to watch the biggest sporting event in the world.

I'll be disappointed if we don't get a 'Piss Yellow' away shirt.

Not keen on Yellow kits, but if we must no weak custard yellow, hoping they stick to red and black or as umbro will call it Strawberry kiss and no money for the leccy meter midnight oasis

Though it is not the market we're shopping in perhaps the world cup has delayed things, as lower status premier league teams are scouting it, and therefore are holding off buying and selling until players show their abilities and are back in their clubs. So players who are being replaced won't be shipped out or loaned out until they know their squad.

Come on, be positive, the delay is because that is the market we are shopping in, Mrs D and the boys studying the WC games intently and making their shopping list to pass on to ToMo , Waggers and the man of many names to sort out

Have watched the whole thing in VR, it's pretty awesome. BBC have done an amazing job with the implementation. Once they're able to provide slightly clearer feeds it'll be a game changer for sure. It's great now but I am glad they have the TV above you showing the game in clearer quality.

Bloody hell the subscription telco who have the rights to all the games over here are struggling to stream 10 minutes without screwing up :) (only 19 games on TV ,free to air) can't see VR football hitting these shores soon

    Danny Cademarteri ?

I seem to recall one time this youngster was touted as the next big thing. I remember him being raved about on MOTD.

Yet another one to add to a pretty substantial list of youngsters whose 'bad attitude' seemingly helped in their decline. Perhaps Samson like, the hair-cut sapped him off his remaining skill.

Currently at Burnley as a  development coach or something

Here we go. A 'holding company' that owns Birmingham has entered into a sponsorship deal with the club to rename their stadium and training ground. A 'significant' deal which will enable 'improving the playing squad'.

Trillion Trophy Asia will 'benefit from increased exposure, and commercial/marketing opportunities' (pretty sure they don't sell anything and their website sheds no light on what they do).

Basically just a back door to pumping money into the club which will get them round FFP rules (Birmingham rumoured to be on thin ice last season after the Redknapp spending - yet haven't been sanctioned yet).

Once again nothing stopping Venkys from renaming Brockhall as the 'VH training ground' for multi-millions to inject into transfers. At least Venkys are a brand that sells things.

Rovers are not even mentioned on their website anymore since its re-launch (more modern than before looks like its from 2001 rather than 1995, only giveaway it is recent is a hello venkys news item from 2016 :)), granted previously it was in passing -First Indian owners of a Premier League club etc

Good point - I never thought of that.

Think we will see a lot of decisions referred to VAR that will not be necessary in this World Cup $$$$$

Whats the odds on compulsory water breaks at 22.30 and 67.30 minutes of a minimum length of 6  x 30 second tv commercials in time for the 2026 World cup ?

Rìdiculous that Collina is making the VAR's sit in a studio in their full kit. Collina was a great referee but this decision is embarrassing.

and in a suprise move (not) more chances to use VAR and more chance for the sponsor to be given airtime

Wasnt Tom finney a plumber? And Stuart Pearce was an electrician so don't knock qualified tradesmen. Klinsmann was a qualified baker too. Nowt wrong with him

Think you missed the point, as a professional football club (despite Venky's best efforts) thought it would be taken as read that we would sign footballers.

Nothing wrong with tradesmen was one myself :)

Although I do think Venky's missed a trick, they could have offered semi pros contracts and tell them to make up the rest of their wages by doing foreigners in the afternoons after training, obviously their friendly just like family agent mates would still take the full commission as if it was a pro player

    From Rich Sharpe

Had the pleasure of some time with Tony Mowbray this morning. Can't help but admire his enthusiasm and strong principles. #Rovers in a good place on and off the pitch.

Before anyone says: "any news Rich?" here's a message from the boss: “For our supporters to know, there’s a lot of work going on behind the scenes. We will be signing footballers, there’s an ambition for the club to build a team that’s youthful and will be competitive next year."

Thank f*** for that, I was worried we would be fielding a brickie, two joiners and a plumber at right back

There is an interesting item on the agenda at today's EFL AGM regarding match programmes.

    http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/11398002/efl-agm-to-get-underway-on-friday-with-clubs-expected-to-vote-on-number-of-issues

Surely in the advent of all things digital there is absolutely no reason for the EFL and officials from clubs to go swanning off to Portugal each year, everything can be done over a skype conference or similar .Be a lot cheaper considering the EFL are always complaining of being skint

Yes it did Stuart. We are now engaged. Very happy and great weekend there. Nothing is going kill my mood today

Congratulations, just leave the table arrangements at the wedding reception to the future Mrs, two up top and three at the back could lead to a lifetime of grief from the future in-laws :)
