Can't see where anyone should apologise there. Only one thing Den - it always seems to be after the event with Rovers and not just the Burnley tickets. Had a little bit of joke at Tris on Tuesday and his 'debates' with Scotty the tickets but being serious, as I have mentioned before they tend to be reactive rather than proactive. In all this is not a bad thing, but as you well know us Rovers fans are a hard bunch to please and personally I still feel certain people at the club have alot to learn but in the sameway the fans need to be abit more co-operative

Something I mentioned to my mate at the game Waggy - but saying it looked more likely it had been Derby rather than Dubai considering some of the performances cosidering it was Burnley's 3rd game since we played at Turd.

I really think Hughes should've brought Stead back into the fold after his goal and good performance for the reserves. Perhaps not to start but once he gets the elusive first league goal, I'll think he'll be up and running again. Think you probably find him playing for our neighbours down the road more likely

....I have thoroughly enjoyed the build up etc of the last couple of weeks. its what its all about "innit" ? At the end you progressed, we didnt..... But..... the rollercoaster of emotion it provides is second to non. Anyone who dont feed off it....should go and watch cricket.... Commendable again TOL even in defeat (whichever one you are that is ) Personally, if the atmosphere build up and tension etc could be attained I too agree - part of what I feel is missing in attending football nowadays and not just the local derbies.

Think the Scotty Report has it nailed on again, however and not wanting to repeat anything The good news ... all that mattered last night was the result and yet again the Blue n White of Lancashire prevailed over the Carrot and Poo of Yorkshire. The worrying news ... despite all the possession we had it was very difficult to spot who in fact was the the Premiership team (in fact over the two games)- we where poor and going of that display we have got major worries . As per Cardiff, Burnley gave as good as they got last night and as we struggled against these teams who are middle Champioship to lower material at the moment then we know we have got big problems. Bad news ... Savage injury would appear to be something he has been carrying and may be worse that first feared. Emerton is still getting a starting position for us (Hughes please get rid... NOW!!) As for the atmosphere, think it was back to the accoustics at Ewood -as per Celtic and others as what has been said by fans previously, it appears difficult to hear the noise levels of the home/away ends as it does on TV - from the BB End it sounded loud yet it was difficult to hear the Burnley lot singing yet you could see them stood up clapping etc. On another note ... nobody has mentioned Mokoena yet -although he still gives me the heebies at CB thought he played the best he has so far last night. So the bragging rights continue... but play like we did last night and Leicester will be as tough as Burnley and we might not be as fortunate, and like it or not the Burnley fans predictions may be closer than we wish to think. As attacking force we are on a par with Burnley, just thank goodness for MGP and roll on Everton as we need to get this tie out of our system as quickly as possible.

Yo really think they'll be able to cope if the pubs are closed close to the ground? They can't cope at the best of times. Doubt it will be the best option unless you get on early and get a couple of those pint and halvers

Tris this is what the major argument is really about. I agree with you and Glenn in saying the club is probably doing all it can with the resources to hand ( except maybe opening 1hr earlier/later or both -its not as if its every week). Having to listen to teh same message over and over again doesn't help either if you are not aware of the short cuts etc Yet again I just feel they have gone about it the wrong way, and people's comments re on-line booking etc should have been sorted ages ago. I have mentioned previously on here re the management of the resources -eg only allow ticket sales at the office in the morning but then phone calls as well/only in the afternoon etc but advise people beforehand re limitations and that queues will be likely. as per streakyb I am in the cup ticket scheme which is great, but what I feel people are missing is that although you automatically get your ticket - these can be returned and a refund made if you are unable to make a game ( all be it it is a little bit of a hassle its not the end of the world is it!) However, this lead to the problems of the Cardiff game where tickets where cheaper elsewhere in the ground - and due to time constraints etc of getting the ticket -sending it back and getting a new (cheaper) one sent out just wasn't possible Scotty, has made a vaild point in respone to why wait until Monday - some people will be put off by the constant waiting if it continues and if the club miss out selling tickets because of this then its their own fault , and they can't roll out the old moan of getting bums on seats again.

I think given the complexities an evening kick off give to this fixture, the security will be at an increased level to that at t' Turf. That I doubt TDI Much of the Burnley fans I know are making their own way there. What I can see happening is those on the train are not allowed off at the Town centre but herded from Mill Hill etc Alot will be leaving work at different times and doubt they will take days off when a game is only a couple of miles down the raod unless they intend going 'for a drink' - and after their charabanc experiences of last time many will probably not take up the offer or hassle of the £3 transport. This IMO will be far from easier to Police/Steward except at the ground where the gates can be closed/car park directly behind etc

Still think some people are being a bit naive here and not really reading what Lonsider is saying. This will not be as controlled as last time, and with it being a evening game all the worse. Regardless of the reputationional behaviour of us Rovers fans, next Tuesday is likely to throw up situations due to the above. I can understand the vitriol of some of Abbeys' etc responses as he has experience of these games from years back as myself others do on the MB without the police/security controls - works both ways Maybe no trouble at the ground but either people have forgotten or simply don't know the before and after with Nob End/Notlob/Celtic/ManU/Liverpool /Leeds over the last decade. Longsider - despite some good posts there is no point linking us to a MB obviously full of wasters with a Rovers supporter who has probably just started Secondary school and has never been on Ewood - unless you want to drop to the realms of their chav non intelligence levels. Not saying anything will happen, but all it takes is one incident to snowball - and considering the rivalry this could explode regardless of previous good behaviour as the security measures in situ will certainly not be in as 'much' force as those in Burnley.

Overall a poor match where we did just about what we had to do (or most of the players did) but nothing more and was nothing different to what I expected. Atmosphere not as great as last time or previous but was better than any so far this season although Citeh and Norwich where ok- but come on Burnley we know you can make more noise than that ( Or is it that Mr Windowman puts you off with his jibbering - wtf!!) - or is it the same as everywhere else re home support where apathy due to seating and overhype of football has disinterested people? Thought Burnley played better than what most give em credit for and Valois (sp) and Mcgreal certainly stood out for them, as Scotty says it will be interesting to see if they can up their tempo at Ewood as the Turd Moor (literally) was certainly a leveller. Certainly on top up until the numpty ran on the pitch and broke up their momentum. Friedal - nothing to do but keep warm Johannson to me didn't look comfortable on the ball but he made some great blocks and won a lot of headers. Dickov - should have scored - and although tried to work hard did his usual of trying to dribble all the time and subsequently getting tackled/ losing the ball straight away losing us momentum in attack. Pedersen -tried and was probably our most dangerous player had little support from the rest though - and yet again Hughes - WTF do we change the wingers over for - totally useless waste of time yet again? Johnson I thought did as well as he could under the circumstances when he came on, and if he had had the confidence to hit it with his left peg when he did the run late on we could have been seeing just us in the hat. Todd/Nelsen - has already been mentioned Savage was just a normal game for him but did put a bit of a late foot in at times. Referee - Thought he had a good game As for the plane beforehand - looked to me like it said 'Come on you Clarets - The Chronicle' And good un to the Rovers fan outside the pub in Brierfield pint in hand

I have been advised there will be dingles in our end who are on a freebie - my mate ( who is a Burnley fan BTW) has asked them why they don't buy a ticket in the Burnley end and sell him the BB End tickets - we know as many others do Rovers fans who want them. Presume you are not a regular reader of The FT (it the only paper my place of work will buy for us :-( ) and just see the news stories about Fat Cats. The majority of company shareholders are large investment firms. they are in for the long haul and are prefectly happy to have a cheif exec preside over a large loss IF the companies business plan stand up to examinationa nd they are turning the company around. Yes, if performance is bad they will be asked to stand down, but a loss is not bad performance. If i took over a company who lost 100mil in the last financial year and in my first year i turned the company round to make only a 50mil pound loss should I be disposed of as I have turned the company instantly profitable? It a case of balancing expectations. Very few football clubs make money (ManU). Even Chelsea and Arsenal are currently loss making. Its just a question of ensuring sustainability and longevity. For all those who want Finn and Williams to earn a lot less or be replaced. Please tell me where you will find people willing to do this job, do it better, have the expereince and want substaially less pay. Don't think people are saying they should earn alot less or be replaced - just questioning the rise , given the circumstances we have found ourselves in for the last two seasons and the dwindling numbers through the gates. No matter how you wrap it up NO company can continue making losses on a regular basis with the 'fat cats' continuing in their positions. What tends to happen, is these fat cats are also supported by others on the gravy train and as you say happy for Execs to sit on top of losses - performance wise yes award achievements/targets reached etc but not if specific objectives are not met - which in the case of the Rovers would not appear to have been done. Not a regular of the FT , no point for me now. Used to work in the Corporate of one of the major Banks and have come across similar sort situations in my time (inc our subject now) - at the end of the day in all reality at one time Football was about getting bums on seats and winning things (still is to me) but the way it is going as mentioned by somebody on the 'Fed Up of Footballl thread' maybe now it is all about surviving which is not good for the game.

Who says streaky b? Normally shareholders etc and done on a vote and most are normally asked to stand down ( discreetly ) with a nice golden handshake though if performance is bad Tend to agree with Scotty and Revidge on this though
