He's been especially poor today. Needs dropping off this performance, as does Travis and Wharton to be fair.
And who replaces them? They have been shit though tbf along with Szmodics

Pretty football is the modern way but putting it in the onion bag is what matters.
Serial misses like Hedges make all the good work pointless.
My rebuttal to what comes next is that we've all scored a worldie. Scoring the easy ones is what matters.
As epitomised by BD today for Sunderland

Cullen scores for Swansea today.
Also watching the Sunderland game. Southampton defensively (as with all Martins teams) really poor.
Dack I'm afraid looks finished. Done nothing of note apart from giving away a stonewall penalty which the ref missed.
Edit
Then he scores !
Typical Dack goal. Quickest to react to the recycled ball after goalie saved his header

Modern era??? 30 odd years ago, Jim. Way in the past to a lot on this board.
He was bloody brilliant that season we got promoted. Certainly dragged us out of the shit v Derby in the semi play offs but then for some reason we did a swap and cash deal for a young lad called Shearer! Imagine the meltdown on here if it had existed in the summer of 92! TBF it was a great move for him and us when he came here after a poor Liverpool time. Sure he will live in the hearts or Rovers fans for his exploits that season

The final corner, at the death, frustrated the hell out of me.
We were past time added on and the whistle was being blown the second the ball left the very top end of the pitch.
Expected a box full (including Pears), a big corner and let chaos ensue.
Hmm we tried that when Friedel scored against Charlton in 2004 in the last minute but they promptly kicked off and scored with the last kick of the match lol. It was gutting

Only managed to see the highlights for this game. Could someone give me abit more info how John Buckley got on. An assist with a very good pass, And the timing of his run for his goal made him look sharp. Left the defenders at the pie van. Did he play the short game well?
Got slated on here by one poster for being selfish and scoring his goal ffs. Said he should have passed to Ennis to score. Why? It was a sublime finish. If he had passed and Ennis missed then he would have been slated for not taking the chance when he had it. Seems some players will never get credit on here whatever they do. Fortunately it’s a minuscule element of the fan base

No no, mate who's there I get texts from and tbf this was a first half assessment not 2nd half, sounds and looks like he's much improved in the 2nd
Ah ok mate. I’m there and he’s been ok tbh. Probs had a better match than Adam W or Jake G. Probs best not to post an opinion if you’re relying on your mates txt msgs to tell the board how he’s performing lol

Buckley been poor but grabbed a goal which is always nice to see! Hopefully gives him a bit of confidence and he kicks on a bit more
How has he been poor? Are you actually watching the match?

I really don't think Hedges is all that good?
Hedges started last season really well - hell he was close to a World Cup call up with Wales. Since he was overlooked he has looked more like a squad filler to me. He can steady things in last 20 mins or so which is not a bad thing but I don’t think he should be a starter in a fully fit squad

Great to hear about Phillips, does make we question the Batth signing (if he signs). Do we really need another body at CB with Haym, Carter, Wharton, Phillips and Burns. If he comes one must go.
Think Sam Barnes may go on loan for first half of season to get game time. Think he may be our main man at cb season after next. He is some talent that lad

Hot sausage rolls lol. Bloody hell Chaddy you’ve got your finger on the pulse of modern street food. My grandad got them in Borneo in 1942! Why not have spam and eggs ha ha

There are certain people/pundits in all sports that just demand respect for their views. People who have been at the very top and done it all. Real sportsmen. Sportsmen who have given everything in their time to the sport.
I could have listened all day to Shane Warne. I could have listened all day to Cloughie. That doesn’t mean to say I agreed with absolutely everything they ever said or did - but for whatever reason they could only be respected for what they’d done.
Souey is in that group for me. I could listen to him all day too.
Yes and you would think Paula Radcliffe would be another. Is it just me but on and on and on she goes with her boring voice and heavy breathing interspersing her words and I just want to scream at the tv “shut the fuck up for a minute”. Crammy on the other hand is superb. He took David Coleman’s advice of say nothing until something needs saying

Too many senior players who are L1 standard in that squad. Hedges,Szmodics, Dolan, Pears, Pickering S Wharton, Gallagher. Plus young kids and Adam performing like a L2 man today. Long winter ahead! Apart from that we are play off certs! I would love them all to prove otherwise btw
