  1. Players always get better when they aren't playing and when we're shopping on such an unrealisticly low budget, fans should manage their expectations accordingly. As for the Walker Trust comment, I'm not sure what you're trying to say. I should be worried about Venkys selling because we'll end up with worse? You responded to me twice by the way so I thought I'd already replied to your comment.
  2. If he did go there he doesn't tend to start off too badly. So hopefully he doesn't go there. But a year or two later it'll be hilarious.
  3. You could have just said, Ennis.
  4. You're paying for all of it Rigger, from enjoying a goal scored to Waggott's ineptitude, and not just in money. I feel like I've wasted 13 years hoping that they'd either come to their senses or give up and go.
  5. "first and foremost, to stay in the league and develop players.” CEO, Blackburn Rovers I'm more concerned with that, short and long term.
  6. I think we're damned if we do and damned if we don't. We'll strike lucky every so often with a win or two, but it's time to just admit we have a mid/lower league squad. Every player I've seen play up front this season has come up short, so I can't imagine what they must like like in training where they are looking to impress. Actually I imagine they'll look like a crock, a kid and a random lad plucked from German obscurity.
  7. When the CEO writes us off before the season starts, expect that to filter down. This goes back to the end of last season when coaches and players knew what was going on before we did.
  8. If you can't see that our real issues are off the pitch, then that's on you. Which benched forward makes a difference in yesterdays match?
  9. Reminds me of last season when people were saying, why aren't we playing Leonard? Young and hungry we were told. Cracking them in in the youth team. Year before it was Vale. Leonard is playing this season and now people are asking why we aren't playing other people. Next season Telalovic will be playing and people will be asking why we aren't playing the latest kid/bargain basement signing. There's no solution, apart from Venkys going and being replaced by people who actually want to run a football club.
  10. As you say we rarely have a game changer on the bench so perhaps if Venkys give him some better players to in game manage, I assume he'll manage better? Expecting the in game management to be better when the quality of player is either inexperienced or poor, is expecting a bit much. Some fans need to manage their expectations better. Go into every game expecting nothing because that's what the owners have put onto the pitch this season.
  11. We play teenagers every week and it's proven to be pretty hit and miss.
  12. Rather that that being in the West Lancashire league with them. We are definitely on a downward trajectory, JDT's project has been thrown in the bin, so kindly fuck off Venkys.
  13. How much did it cost them for an inferior squad? Would love to be a fly on the wall of the boardroom.
  14. And they can't sell the club due to the amount of debt they created, and aren't willing to write off. So we're stuck with them as no one else will take on the £150m plus debt. They've manufactured an impossible situation all round.
  15. They are 1 nil down after 18 mins so part way there.
  16. Yeah, it was obvious, but I had it confirmed by a player who he was trying to flog at the time.
  17. I think it's pretty easy to figure out. We've got our senior CB out. We're playing a good young CB at full back. Scott Wharton has never been the same since his second injury. Carter is massively over-rated. In midfield we're relying on a 19 year old every game. We were playing a team in a different league budget wise. Before the game I predicted we'd get battered. All anger should be directed at those fuckwits in India.
  18. PNE have helped immensely.
  19. I blamed S Wharton for that.
  20. He set his stall out at the job interview then Venkys changed the plan. Wrong man for the wrong job. Waggott knew all along there was trouble ahead and he wouldn't be supported by the owners, but that's what you get when you put chancers at the top.
  21. Brittain deserved more than one to be fair.
  22. You'll see a lot more when the owners fail to put anything in every transfer window and enforce a young player only transfer policy.
  23. I wasn't trying to say we'd get anything from it, but whilst he was on the pitch we didn't look in any danger of it being such a massive loss. It had a big effect on the scoreline and morale in an already difficult game with a thin young squad and tired legs. We got dicked on goal difference last year and now we're another -4, helped massive by that foppy haired f***wit.
  24. He got sent off for nothing, and since then our game went from trying to nick a goal, to damage limitation. It certainly wouldn't have been 4-0 had he stayed on the pitch - I reckon he was going to get subbed before he got sent off too.
