v Cardiff City (h) - 27/9/23 Carabao Cup
booth replied to philipl's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Something similar happened to a guy I know. He was given the job of updating the scoreboard and was really chuffed as we were in the PL at the time. He was given a few minutes training ten minutes before the match, then left to it. It was carnage for five minutes. Scores kept going up and down with the crowd cheering and boo'ing depending on if Rovers were on the wrong end of it. I was at the match and it was like a toddler had been given the controls. 2-1, 1-3, 6-0, 9-6. Then it started going something like 10-6, 10-7, 10-8, 10-9, 10-10, crowd starts "ooooooh" then 10-11 "booooooo!". Then the clock started playing up. Then 12-11 to big cheers. All while the match was in play. Apparently someone went in and snapped at him and took the controls. After the game he got absolutely bollocked which ended him in walking out. He didn't go back, told them to stick it. -

But not the choice of not being a Rovers fan. You're saddled with it now whether you go or not, thick and thin.
-
With our transfer policies, we'll have to get used to it.
-
His attempt at heading the ball away for their first goal was half hearted at best. Then the same with closing down the guy who took a shot.
-
I'll be surprised if they don't get a result tonight. United look awful.
-
He was poor though. Their lads were just waltzing past him.
-
Positives. Sigurdsson looked good and scored on his debut. Leonard is improving. Szmodics scored another goal. Play did improve in the second half but I think part of that was that Ipswich had given it their all in the first. Shame there's too many weak links for the positives to see us through.
-
Gregg for signing him with actual money, when we didn't have much of it.
-
We're scoring goals because we're so cavalier, and to play like that you need a better defence and a keeper that doesn't put you at least 2/3-0 down almost single handedly.
-
Wharton's a good passer with good vision, but he strolls about. That said there were occasions today when both he and Travis were standing there as Ipswich picked their passes. But even with our flaws, with a different keeper between the sticks today we wouldn't have lost.

If Pears starts against Leicester, it's a fuck-you to everyone.
-
I'd be chatting shit if I said I believed it. If he plays the next match I'll start to believe it, as I said.
-
Nowhere really? Waggott said that, and avoiding relegation is his remit this season.
-
Is Gilsenan still injured?
-
Conspiracy theory, he's under orders to play Pears. Development. If he doesn't drop him next match then I'll believe it.
-
Pears shouldn't have been on the pitch.
-
You say that but last year at this time we were playing poorly and winning. Plenty on here didn't like it.
-
Too late, he's let the team down today.
-
Pears has got to go. Drop him, release him, launch him into orbit, just don't have him anywhere near a Rovers shirt again.
-
Unlucky not to get a fourth then.
-
Wharton looks knackered.
-
My stream has gone to shit since we went 3-3.
-
Midfield is none existent when not in possession. Everyone just standing around allowing Ipswich to do what they want.
-
Hoping that knocks the stuffing out of Ipswich.
