  1. Funny how opinions differ Dickov in my opinion has shown how good he is at holding the ball up, he's strong, tenacious and very very willing. He likes the ball into feet and I think with Djorkaeff thats what he'd get.
  2. Dont understand why it would have to be Stead over Dickov?
  3. At 18, he's proved he's different class to Shearer?! The other one's got bells on it mate.
  4. *Big gulp* I agree with you Hughesy.
  5. Good post Phillip, it's funny how these things happen. Shearer's England debut in 1992 came in the same year that Gary Lineker quit international football. Shearer scored on that debut versus France, and a wonderful career lay ahead. Rooney's move to Man United has coincided with Shearer's last season in football. It would appear that he is to follow the same path as Shearer when he himself took up the mantle. Rooney has a long career ahead of him during which I think he will break many many records. He has the potential to be the best English player ever in my opinion. Wish he'd gone elsewhere though
  6. Bolton did want to keep him Jordan, he just didnt want to agree terms with them. Mixed reaction from some of the Bolton messageboards over this one, but I'm pretty happy with the signing. If he grabs anything upward of 8-10 goals he'll have done us a good turn.
  7. Cheap shot dude.
  8. You thought wrong, mon cher
  9. Sebastian Perez and Patrick Valery, both signed at the same time I think?
  10. Whoa, Brownie, don't be so sure. Colin Hendry isn't the best centre half to have played for rovers and I'll tell you why in the next few days. You're gonna include Peacock arent you Den?
  11. Damn you powerful folk and your untraceable editing skills
  12. If I remember correctly, you just need to get the tube to Fulham Broadway (I think thats right). Not sure what London station you'll end up at from Blackburn, probably Euston?
  13. I'll in turn agree with you CK. We miss Tugay terribly when he doesnt play. I'd love to know what the stats are like for games won with and without him starting, I dare say they'd be favourable towards him. I think he's a steady, calming influence that helps to keep the rest of the team around him composed. He's always available to pass to, no matter who has the ball, which isnt something that can be said about Flitcroft. Having said all of that - how on Earth do Tugay and Djorkaeff fit into the same team?
  14. I'd do that for the money he gets paid. Doesnt mean I'd be good enough for the Premiership. And neither is Flitcroft.
  15. They were £35 last year. Might grace you all with my presence at this one.
  16. Up front with Dickov I think? His tireless running could create enough space for Djorkaeff to bring others into the game.
  17. Christ, I know she alienated a lot of people on here with her Anti-Souness stance, but dont you think thats just a tad harsh?!
  18. Good one Bobby, the match ended 0-0 I saw some of that game, he was useless
  19. I thought he was decent too. Amo gets unfairly treated, even by the so called experts. Last night at one point he superbly Cruyff turned in his own half, beautifully away from the forward and offloaded the ball. The commentator stated that Amo was "taking a chance" and had been "lucky". The previous week Rio Ferdinand did exactly the same in his own penalty area no less against Liverpool. The commentators lamented the achievement, stating that Ferdinand was "back". Amoruso is a steady influence that our defence should be built around in my opinion.
  20. Very pleasing, this is excellent news. We could be about to beat a host of similar clubs to a signing yet again. God knows how we do it
  21. Lucas did it once. First half.
  22. Which doesn't say alot for the rest. Emerton is unable to beat his man and get to the byline; he is a poor passer of the ball, both in the timing of his passes and direction; and, for a so-called "wide" player, a terrible crosser of the ball. His crosses are either too long or too short or (8 times out of 10) he hits it straight at the man in front of him. Why he is given the job of taking corner kicks beats me. It all begs the question, why does Emerton exist? Totally agree. Emerton was good last night - by his usual standards. It still isnt close to being good enough. The fact that he is now more regularly showing vague glimpses of his talent only adds to the frustration that he doesnt do it more often. Fair play to him for the improvement, but there's still some way to go.
  23. Would be very happy with that - a bit of talent in the team would be nice.
  24. It only sums up how stupid the original comment was - Andy Todd, for all his faults, is a very good defender.
  25. Spiceworld!
