  1. as much as I'm gutted like the other supporters on this list, I have to point out that in 2 home fixtures, we haven't lost yet at home. And after last season, that's an improvement. The scum are the scum, and I wonder what Sir Alex will say to the cameras, since Saha missed his calling to join the French volleyball team in Athens, but we didn't lose. Which is more than I can say for the next opponent, Newcastle. Lets get them while they're down, and another bad ref notwithstanding, put some more points in the table.
  2. Rovers up 1-0, Dickov again, off a Pedersen cross from the left. (A left winger playing in position wow!)
  3. what happened to Tommo? (emerton subs in 17th minute)
  4. nope American defender Jonathan Spector The Ronnettes probably support Arsenal these days, if nothing else to spite Manure
  5. I wish Gally was out there making a nuisance of himself right now. sigh
  6. I too cannot seem to get the chatroom to work. Although at home, I was able to get in once, but I had to add my password to my user name befoer it let me in. Not today though. Gamecast on soccernet and this forum will have to do for now
  7. you mean it's not: Friedel Neill Short Matteo Nissa Gray Gresko Emerton Tugay Dickov Stead I say we play 10 back, and just leave Dickov at the center circle to make runs at Cygan - may have a shot at a draw that way
  8. Arsenal 3 Rovers 1 Henry (pen) Dickov Reyes Grandpa Bergkamp but I'm hoping to be wrong
  9. Rovers 2 Southampton 2 Stead Phillips (2) Yorke Rovers pick up where they left off in the second half against WBA, flying all over the place. Up 2-nil after 25 minutes. Then Matteo (or whomever) will find a way to give up a penalty right before the half-time whistle. And good pressure will even the score. This game reminds me of last season at Man City when we lost 3-2 by conceding in the 88th minute or something. I'd like to be more hopeful, but I'm just not this weekend
  10. I'll have a go... 1. Chelsea 2. Arsenal 3. Newcastle (after they pick up Beattie in January) 4. Liverpool 5. Manure (if only they'd fall farther) 6. Boro 7. Spurs (thanks mainly to Paul Robinson) 8. Fulham 9. Blackburn 10. Charlton 11. Birmingham 12. Southampton 13. Aston Villa 14. Man City 15. Bolton 16. Pompey 17. West Brom 18. Norwich 19. Everton (who will sell Rooney in January and then collapse) 20. Crystal Palace
  11. I concur with Den - this is brilliant stuff! minus any injuries sustained at Bray, Rovers 3-1 West Brom Stead Koumas De Pedro Dickov
  12. for all the folks questioning Dickov as #10, what number did he wear last year with leicester? I honestly don't know, but am curious. Personally, I wouldn't have him as #10 (probably De Pedro or Ferguson if he wanted it and Dickov as 11), but that leaves Gally, Jansen or Yorke to be #10. Meaning, our current 3rd, 4th and 5th choices for striker. Then again, Souey seems to be all in favour of work ethnic, not glamour. Dickov as 10 is merely another indiciation of this.
  13. whoever he is, if he's scoring goals, then it's fine by me. Although I would find the irony of said player's name to actually be "Trialist" very compelling...
  14. I guess it will be interesting to see if he shows up for training tomorrow then. If he's not there, then something is in the works for his imminent departure. If he's there, then this whole speculation is crap... at least for the moment.
  15. yuo know, I'm eally hoping for an all-out goal scoring thriller like the 2nd half away to fulham. I expect we'll end up with some much more sedated and mundane, with a 1-1 draw (Forsell & Stead). But I'll predict based on the hope of goals goals goals: Rovers 5 - Brum 4 Stead 2 Forsell 3 Cole (Tugay o.g. - found his invisible friend again) Nissa Matt Derbyshire and when the Rovers win, Souey WILL dance a juig at the center circle to Lady Luck
