  1. The new dawn if it happens has zero to do with anything which has been said on here previously. This new dawn we've all been waiting for has not materialised. The fact that talks with Farke occurred before Ewood got a sniff, points to a massive change in direction, which have certainly not materialised with Swaggott at the wheel, All the things we've been reading on here are the lip service from the corridors of ewood? If and its a big if, there is a boardroom clear out, do you think this was what was promised, given those who have religiously preached this on here have zero direct contact with the owners. If they did, then we'd be applauding onto the pitch Wenger and Dein would we not? I'd be delighted with Farke as the new manager, which i've already commented to both Bala and Amit. He is exactly the type of appointment which would be recieved very well by the majority. I'm like anyone else on here, I want a well run club, run by football people, with the clubs best interest at heart. I love our club, probably too much, but any good news is great news
  2. They footed a £2.5 million pay off for 40 something days service for Berg They've paid countless players, Managers, agents, former employees off. Not sure what it all adds up to, but many contracts have cost them a fortune. Nothing of any merit gets sanctioned without approval, its why everything takes an age. In the Karen silk days we were having to ask for premier league money, parachute payments etc just to pay bills as money was too slow in getting approved. Youth players, are not big money, and I suspect we have a budget allocated for them
  3. I have no confidence it will ever be right until they buggar off. Will people continue to suck on the teet? Absolutely!!! Being a board member at Ewood is the easiest cash they will ever get, sit there collect a wage and be the face of nothing
  4. I believe its no more than £5k, Contracts etc, go through extra scrutiny following the Berg fiasco. Request for money, are usually signed off with the relevant business case.
  5. Coaches be a no, but the other two suggestions very much possible
  6. So at last Farke meets with Swaggott, Its my understanding that this will not need a further chat with V's as their chat occurred prior, there must have been some guarantees put on the table for him to agree the second chat. So if this goes Pete Tong now, the blame firmly lies at Swaggott and Suhails door. I know all these names coming out and alledged interviews, job offers, new favourite, extended shortlist has been exhausting to read. However this is playing out exactiy as I was told, i've had to put up with the 2 or 3 posters constantly giving me grief for sticking with the same line, but i seriously heard nothing to the contrary to sway me from changing my stance. If this does indeed get over the line, i sincerely hope it puts to bed the tripe we read which is is put out from Ewood. They dont make the decisions, can sign off literally nothing, and there is another tier of advisors beyond Ewood who act as the further buffer to the Raos. All this "a new dawn is coming, we know something you dont know, which has littered these boards since before last season", none has come to fruition. The manager walked, the players were not signed, the ground is still a shit tip, the season ticket prices lack imagination, and the puppets at Ewood are on borrowed time.
  7. Mmmm strange that ;-), now lets hope Dick n dom aint put him off, as he has done the Venkys bit already
  8. Maybe they are here at Manchester Airport waiting for David Dein and Arsene Wenger,
  9. Im sure we will have 24 hours of someone else tomorrow, by the weekend Chaddy would have appointed 10 managers off an alleged 8 man list
  10. I've tried not to cheap skate this time, my idea of flying from stansted last year as it was a £2k saving, had me paying out another £2.5k to leave the country 3 days later, as they closed the gate 30 mins before take off and we arrived 28 mins before. I believe its bedlam at Manchester, but kids are off to in-laws so hopefully wont be too painful
  11. Nothing new bar Ferguson a none starter. I'm getting ready for the airport, so probably will have nothing to add before an appointment, (wedding anniversary break, and phone ban)
  12. I remember when I was managing juniors in the Central Lancs we needed to win the last two games to win the league. Prior to these games arguably our best player and the best player in the league, did his hamstring. We played our penultimate game, and despite him being injured i put him on the bench, which raised plenty of eyebrows. We were winning 1-0 but was being absolutely battered, it was only a matter of time before they equalised or potentially scored twice for us to lose. With 20 minutes to go, despite the my player being unable to run or kick a ball, I put him on. Just the sight of him appearing had the opposition completely change their tactics, they put 3 players on him. By the time their manager had worked out, he could barely move, they'd lost all impotence and we won 2-0, won our final game and were crowned champions. Managers make tough decisions, in Rovers case we didnt go down because of Huddersfield, the season is over 46 games. We went down because we finished in the relegation zone due to pur own fault
  13. Ultimate Huddersfield went up, it stunk at the time, but if you or I was Manager you wouldn't care a single jot how your decision affects other teams, if it aids you securing your own goal of promotion
  14. I think the max bet is £30, so its not exactly major money being thrown at anyone. Manager markets are not a game of chance, so the bookies wont take big bets due to leaks from grandma's, sisters, girlfriends, uncles etc
  15. As reported on the 8th May, Wagner was on the opening list (V's List), I'm a little surprised that's not gained far more traction or a wider discussion/debate regarding the potential in that appointment on here in particular. Our first Foreign appointment given that opening list would be more likely than a British Manager, especially if you add Carvalhal to the three mentioned before. That's four foreign coaches, and very little being offered in opposition to a British Manager.
  16. I'm not sure exactly whats occurring at Ewood, i gave up listening to Ewood a long time ago. The three names I was given I've posted on here. I believe V's where in London last week with the intention of speaking with representation/candidates. If Ewood/local media are to be believed, there has been 50-60 applicants, which has given them a list of 8 names now. Do people honestly believe we have not actively been approaching managers ourselves and are going to rely on applicants? In the last week i've read we offered the job to Carvalhal which we have not, we've interviewed Beale which we have not, that Ferguson is going to be appointed which he is not, we've approached Ainsworth which we have not. I'm sure many agents are throwing names in the mix, i'm also pretty sure those at Ewood will be talking to many people, you have to if you've 60 alledged applicants. At this stage, no one has been offered the job. I'm sure that Ewood list will be smaller, as will Venkys list which is being managed by their closest advisors. It will be smaller through managers walking away, their demands being too great or rovers just not fancying the manager after talks. Would I put money on an appointment? I have done on two names Is that with confidence? I would never be confident with a Venkys run Rovers. We've not suddenly become a well run club despite what some would want you to believe. There are still many who wouldnt touch us with a 10ft barge pole.
  17. Nothing i've wrote on here to date has changed, everything i've wrote so far regarding timeline has occurred. I jet off to Spain this week and i fully expect an appointment to be announced on the 6th June 2022, which is 110% not ferguson, he aint even in the running!!! I've not posted anything for days, as i've nothing to add to any previous post. On Farke, he was v's first choice, its upto them to persuade him to take the job, Im not Farke and have zero influence in him saying yes or no
  18. I know the 5 who sit with me, and also myself, have yet to renew. Also the ones who we drink with pre-match have'nt renewed either, so not too sure where this flying off the shelf is coming from, as that's 9 season tickets off the top of my head which remain unrenewed
  19. The way my horse is fattening up during his spring/summer break he will probably jump better than him too
  20. Gonna be peed if Jagielka jumps ahead of Arsene Wenger , was just starting to warm to that given someone else claims he has said yes to them
