Yeh i get the usual replies on twitter, some unhappy, and then some completely happy, who tend to resort to name calling, to hammer home the "you are negative, you are ungrateful, you are a muppet theme." Facebook, i dont do too much. I like the debate on here, as it does not usually resort to name calling and every single point/opinion is valid, and no greater or weaker than anyone elses. Keyboard warriors eh? I'm always open to a face to face debate on all things rovers, its funny though, they dont come from behind their keyboards for this, and prefer to hide behind Alias's. I remember when I was a Director at WEC and chatting with WW who couldnt get his head around being abused by internet names like 1875bluethunder, blueraindrops, horrisdorrishovis etc etc. Faceless abuse, by spineless people.

That age bracket was an example rather than a sweeping statement. I too hear less disgruntled on the ownership, especially with us reliant on their funding. The largest statement is the numbers that have walked away
-
The ultimate sacrifice, and one I admire you for
-
I think thats more to do with the amount that have walked away. I'm not sure age bracket %s of supporters now, but we do have a lot 15-20 year olds for example. The majority of these are not old enough to remember much pre-Venkys, so they dont have the same anger. I see very few of those that protested for example on match days, the majority of these have walked away as their final protest.

There is just far too much now from owners down happy to accept mediocrity, just taking part, rather any burning ambition beyond existence
-
I look at season ticket sales like the song "10 green bottles" When 10 were on the wall and one fell the majority still renewed When 4 were on the wall and one fell the majority still renewed. The reality is non renewals season upon season increases and new applicants do not fill the the ones lost. Does anyone have perhaps a fans forum member? The number of season tickets we've sold per season since the Walkertrust sold Rovers. This "the small minority always shouts louder, is not a small minority when the decline in season ticket sales has been gradual over a sustained period of time. It just means those who have walked away have lost total interest and are silent in their disapproval"

If Forest snatch promotion it would not surprise me if Brereton returns for £18 million

Attendances: A cause for concern
glen9mullan replied to SIMON GARNERS 194's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Thats the issue, there is a fine line between being in charge and compromising yourself. Too friendly with the boss breathes contempt. Waggott and Mowbray are no different to Agnew and Kean. Watching each others back whilst the owners are miles away. Then you have Suhail who is actually quite liked around the club by lots of staff, been there a long time now. However, i think he has forgotten his purpose, again miles from home. However Call it a hunch, i think 4 weeks from now it maybe a different looking ewood both dugout and boardroom -
8% not renewing is quite a lot although figures will vary, but a lot happy to renew which is more than i expected
-
Nearly 800 votes on twitter poll, big swing towards renewals before 4th June. After the initial shock, some calmed down and will renew?

Cant remember what i paid last season, i think the £399 offsets the young adult season tickets, although a big gulf between the two prices. Although id be up for £300, but trying to be realistic in terms of revenues which do need to be generated
-
£399 across board all areas of ground for renewals and new applicants. Obviously ratchet for senior, young adults, kids etc. Suddenly people who could afford 1 in some areas can perhaps stretch to 2. Bums on seats increase atmosphere. Alternatively people love a good deal. My wife forever buying 3 for 2s of stuff we didnt need 1 off. 3 for price of 2 brings new fans to ewood potentially, Family tickets. We have an all seater stadium half empty, bums on seats generates sponsorship, more shirt sales, more food sales, more merchandise sales, an electric atmosphere. This offer dont inspire

1. Never been AWOL, one by one had the parasites moved from the club. Presented to the F.A, Premier League, Football league, and at Parliament. Subsequently, the sports minister issued a bill for regulation in football ownership and changes to the fit and propper test, which we are now seeing the inpact today, through other clubs not easily getting lumbered. 2. Took our story from one side of the globe to the other, which includes a book two documentaries and another which is coming out which i've been in dialogue and will go on TV. 3. Organised the legends match which brought back some of our greats including tugay, which raised 10s of thousands for BRFPA and kick-started the former players association being a support network for former players. They have subsequently kicked on with many more events 4. Opened the first walk in centre in Europe run by volunteers, as a charity for football related concerns, but also homeless, foodbanks, domestic violence, which was supported by the European football supporter federation (ESF) and Football supporters federation (FSF). 5. Elected member of the National council FSF 6. Formed and was democratically elected as Chairman to the largest supporter group. 7. Former secretary of the rovers trust 8. Organised open meetings, supported by the council, mayor and local MPs, and got club representatives to answer the supporters in these meetings. 9. Was part of a group who fund a trip to Jersey on Jacks anniversary every year to lay flowers. 10. Opened up direct contact with the Raos in india, speaking with guy who signs the cheques and also his son who is chairman elect 11. Presented the views/mandate of supporters, minuted, transparent to the club and left my own views at home. 12. Have sponsored various matches at the club 13. Provided season tickets to four people 14. Organised for under privileged children, working with childrens services to attend matches at Ewood, including food and transport, whilst continuing to raise thousands of pounds for other worthy causes. 15. Carried/funded in the 10s of thousands of pounds, and 1000s of hours out a full investigation of illegal activity at Blackburn rovers and presented the case and shared the findings, which have also been published by media outlets. Thats just a few things off my head. Your ideas of aggression are misguided, I dont hide behind alias's, I have never been in trouble, I have direct contact and dont need to stroke people. Negotiation is very much that, its ruthless both ways, and not for shrinking violets. 16. Working capital, investment, is down to their intentions. One thing is for certain, financial backers is one thing I do have, its one thing the supporters have always had. They have no intention in selling, they've had offers from both supporters and other investors. 17. Never took a single sandwich during any of it I want what most of the supporter base want, a football administration given autonomy to run the club. Honest, hardworking board who understand the demographics, heritage, but can run the ship to return us to the administration model it was before they bought the club. I want transparency. Finally, i dedicated everything I had to be a strength for others, and stand up for those who wanted/needed action. Sadly it has contributed to me missing out on my 5 daughters growing up. Its not a secret, I now have an illness where my immune system is shutting down, and the my bio-therapy has been canned due to my body unable to fight the side affects. My quality of life within my health is not good at all, but I work bloody damn hard to ensure my family are looked after, and damned with the energy i have left, am I gonna roll over and . have my belly tickled by leaches, parasites, and damn right ignorant people. Our club, our supporters our town and Jacks Legacy deserves better. I'm very much for people trying to get a better rovers, but cannot and will not buy into secret societies, and at some point secret societies need to realise that without the supporters you actually do not have a purpose. Right now, the Rovers trust is the only credible vehicle for engagement with the clubs hierarchy for change which benefits the wider community and their mandate is clear and in the domain. I've missed off so much, but if you'd like to elaborate what you've done, now would be a good time to share, you never know you may actually get the support which you will need.
-
There are secret groups dont you know, with big claims of a bright future, who talk to these people, if they are still out of touch, it begs the question what meaningful dialogue is actually occurring. I know its early days on my twitter poll but those %'s are painting the supporters opinion

Awaiting response

And where have you actually got to? Fannying around playing their tune, is actually disrespectful to the efforts of many over the last 12 years. Have you actually spoken to the owners yet? I have, and will always say exactly what I think, and fall in the handful of people who has and does have direct contact with the people that own our club. As stated, and i've already made contact with Balaji Rao in the last hour, these prices are so out of touch Perhaps rather than slate supporters opinions, why dont you tell everyone what you know that no-one else can know!!!!!!!
-
Thats why we need to cull the lot, they cant even get the basics right
-
I refuse to have credit cards, and wont go into debt via finance. Have a lot of things happening between now and end of June, and also have to consider School uniforms £2000 QEGS School bus Given the penalties for going into my savings, that wont be happening. I'd budgeted for an end of June renewal and if that comes with a £30 increase, then I wont be renewing this season
-
Can we have a poll please? 1. Will renew before 4th June 2. Will renew and pay by direct debit 3. Will renew and pay increase after 4th June. 4. Will buy as a new/returning customer at the new customer price 5. Will buy as new/returning customer by direct debit. 6. Wont renew too expensive. 7. Wont renew because cant afford before 4th June and wont pay increase. 8. Wont renew as cant get past finance check to pay be direct debit and cant afford outright. Feel free add more

Sounds like a transformer lol
-
Add to that, our bright spark team have also decided we aint going up so are marketing it at £17 a game, and forget to mention however unlikely that promotion would mean £21 a game, Sack the bloody lot of them
-
If you dont renew by the 4th June, price goes up? Have I read that right? Not everyone has a spare minimum £399 hanging around, surely they should have the same price regardless to give people an opportunity to get the funds together?
-
Agreed
