What gives you the impression that this other group can open up communication with the owners, given those at Ewood themselves go through an intermediary? If its the group sipping beer with club officials, selling sponsorship opportunities and stating we should show our appreciation to the owners then all is lost. First rule of fan representation is actually to get the fans to support your motives, have a clear message to those fans of your objectives, carry out meaningful market research by engaging with those fans, and ultimately you are there to represent the supporters views, and not those of yourself. A secret group, is 100% the wrong way to go. We have numerous supporter groups, and all of those groups actually have members who support their groups mandate. I can freely talk as someone no longer affiliated to any group, and from first hand expereience of engaging with the club, the board and ultimately the owners in which i have on numerous occassions. I didnt need to start kissing backsides to do any of the above. In addition, our communication was supported by the following to name a few Jack Straw, Jake Berry, Graham Jones, Sir Bill Taylor, Maureen Bateson, Wayne Hemingway, Wayne Wild, The Mayor of Blackburn, Kate Hollern, a large membership base, Local business owners, FSF, Club employees, and owner representation. It was transparent, minuted, communicated via media channels and not through "i know something you dont know"

I do agree, I learnt a long time ago, either say what you know/mean or dont say anything at all. Inuendos put you on the slippery path of being nothing more than a club patsy. If we've learnt anything at all in the last 12 years, its that keeping people informed is what takes away the anxiety, questions, scepticism and has everyone moving in the same positive direction. Its the million dollar question which i dont think we will ever know? Realistically who in the right mind would lose millions upon millions, yet appoint the wrong people to oversee the operational management of any business? After 12 years, and circa £200 million, you would think as successful business people they would of grasped this? I'm sure there are many on here who run their own business or are responsible senior management in other businesses, who on basic business principles alone cannot compute how this ship is run. In 1864's defence, during the dark days he was not only very vocal, but a keen supporter of the movement to remove Kean and the corruption at the club. He also attended as many events as possible showing that support and challenging the adminstration. He has held meetings with the club, and is no fool. I think benefit of the doubt is the term used in what has been promised, but as days weeks months pass, he would be one of the first to withdraw his support of those who have sold the dream, should that dream turn out to be total fabrication. Its so difficult when engaging with the club to get anything out of them if you are seen to then share it. They are very much divide and conquer. Sadly, like many before I fully expect disappointment as they only thing that has really changed is different people sat in the chairs.

Mine was on my bucket list, so we opted to do this last year after my diagnosis, wife and kids love the expereience, although wont be going Thursday, Perth just too far

It really does depend on who you go with trainer wise, and how much of the horse you own. Avoid large syndicates or an annual ownership. We bought our stake in midnight, 1 of 4 available at a drop down price due to the injury he sustained so with Vat it was around £1000 which was a steal given he was lightly raced and had either won or placed in his runs. Obviously with four people owning the horse, training fees are split, so its around a couple of hundred a month, but we can claim the vat back, which covers jockey fees, travel etc. All prize money is split between owners. However the big thing is with the trainer i'm with is race day. If I want to go to the races where he has a runner, i can take family and friends for free. We go in owners section, get fed for free, tea n coffeee for free, free parking, access to stables, access to parade ring. We do really get treated like kings and queens and its far cheaper than taking a box at rovers for a game or two. We have loads of champagne breakfasts, BBQ's and open days at the stables. I can go any day i want to the stables, see my horse, watch him on gallops, discuss tactics with the jockeys, discuss where we send him next. Its just an great experience. Overall he pays his way, he should win Thursday and its just under 5k to winner, but if he comes 2nd its still a few grand. We are registered owners at Wetherbys and believe it or not, had to sit a fit and propper test and prove affordability. Anyone with a few spare bob, I recommend it, its an emotional rollercoaster and the way Oliver does it, its affordable.

Having spoken to Jagdish, the plan was always he would run the club, i wouldnt be surprised if he is involved in some capacity next season. I always hoped it was a pride thing and they'd sell up if we went up, However the indication is they wont be going anywhere

Very much so, they refused to listen to the board they inherited. They denied any involvement to the FA, then Board members gave evidence to the FA to the contrary. As they heat was turned up, Kentaro took legal action as they had'nt paid all their dues as per their agreement. Yet despite the legal threats/court action both the FA and Venkys tried to hide it under the carpet due to the implications to the FA over a corporate partner and sponsor, and the pending FIFA scandal which by definition due to Kentaro's involvement and cash for votes would of implicated those governing the game. The sports minister sent an article to the fa to get their ship in order, as world cup bids were also goverment backed. As with the rovers buy out, Kentaro were acting for more than one party. Despite this, Anderson continued at Ewood way after this scandal became a war and under parliamentary privilege as our friend Mr Lingard would concur , Rovers story was collateral damage were millions was spent in gagging orders to prevent the truth ever seeing light of day. Its scary to think what we uncovered, and the shit we get from our own support who still believe venkys were conned is the biggest joke of the lot. You have to remember Venkys business interest in pharmaceutical was way before rovers. Their relationship with Switzerland and Huber, and Sella makes rovers look like pocket change. That business relationship was before rovers, during rovers and remains. Anderson was a small cog (the smallest in fact) in a much bigger machine. He is merely a foot soldier who had a uk influence in the English game. The thing with foot soldiers, there are plenty of them

There is a genuine denial of the facts, i did a massive email drop to hundreds of supporters a few years back, Articles confirming the findings where done by journalist. I did a tell all blog I've been on podcast, Guess how many legal letters I got???? Correct fat zero, I'm lucky or unlucky i've had direct contact with the owners, hence I choose not to engage with those at Ewood, go to the engine everytime. There is less transparency now in what is said to supporters, that it becomes dubious what was said I've always tried to share everything which i can legally support, and can still hear the fear in Jeromes voice as we locked horns for an hour and half on the phone. People will choose to believe what they want. It gets to the stage, where you do what I've done for the last four years, withdraw mainly from social media, supporter groups, and if i have a question or a point, i direct it straight to india via phone. We've been nursing him back from an injury and after a prep run, ran very well last time out to come 3rd. Hopefully @Miller11gets Mr Waggott on podcast and this can be asked, Still how do you go from running chicken production (suhail) to negotiating contracts, deciding if players are fit or not fit, selecting players to buy and sell. The big one for me, i will never forgive is bling picking the team, i have that in writing, chapter n verse, and quite frankly those actions are unforgivable and makes the whole thing one bloody joke

I still dont understand who is recommending people to them. They are not from the football world, so who recommended Mowbray, how did he make contact with them and then get subsequently appointed?. I agree though, top administration will ensure we dont lose players for free, without a fight, and give us half a chance of a decent managerial appointment

There has been small improvements away from the football, but it could be argued that the hoards of supporters who no longer go, many of which were very vocal of how the club was being run, is giving off quite a false dawn. Demographically we have far more younger supporters % of crowd now than I can remember. Many of which were not alive post 2000, and many of which are not old enough to remember pre jack, post jack, and the start of the venky regime. Its interesting some comments i get on my twitter feed from some 16, 17, 18 year olds. Their opinion is vastly different to many of the older supporters, mainly because their memories is of relegation to league 1, promotion to the championship and what they see on the pitch. I still talk to a lot of supporters with over 100 years of family tradition in following rovers, and they simply will never return and dont even know who plays for us and have zero interest in knowing. That demographic is in the thousands and not a handfull. Comments i have seen about the relevance of the Rovers Trust, the timing of tweets/statements etc. Its these that have walked away why the trust is paramount to a brighter future. You cant just throw the customer base away, and build a new one through ignorance. Many of these supporters still live in the town, and heritage is built on our history and those who can share it, pass it on to the next generation and remember. Football has good times, bad times, amazing times, dark times. Many of us that remain have seen all of these. I was born into the rovers family, born in the town, my dad supported them, his dad supported them, in fact my whole family on myside supports them. The debts would be there whoever owns rovers, the figures just dont stack up, not enough bums on seats and no extra revenue brought through success. We've been on the decline since we won the premiership, we suffered a relegation under jack, and although we went back up, our coffers could never compete with that of others. Nothing has changed there. The Academy is a shining light, but papers over the cracks of season upon season downgrades. Other local clubs have had to start again, but have proven you can, with the right people. We are heavily reliant on the owners, and if they actually brought in the right people to run the club, they'd already be on the road to recovery. The modern day supporter reacts to what is happening on the pitch, if thats going well, the ownership becomes irrelevant. "The worse decision in life is not to make one"

My thoughts on Mowbray on the whole.... I was in the "Not impressed camp" when he was appointed, it appeared a boring appointment and was really unsure how he had become a contender for the role and who had access to Venkys to push him to the head of the que. With the circus that had come before in Kean, Berg, Appleton, Lambert, Bowyer and Coyle I felt at the time this appointment was very much make or break time. Rovers eventually were relegated the season he arrived, and not down to him, but the clubs inability to remove Coyle in a timely manner. I was quite perplexed that everything was put at Coyle's door, as behind every poor run/appointment of a manager is the board, advisors, owners and their inability to act fast and in the best interest of the club. There was no blame laid at the door of anyone bar Coyle. Mowbray said the right things during that relegation season, and clearly got a tune out of the players he had inherited. He spoke with dignity in the times I had spoken to him on a one to one, and he clearly got the supporters feeling around the club, and was also convinced himself that the owners had been conned, by those before. I began to warm of him, as his integrity was clearly there and if anything he was a polar opposite to what had come before. League 1, the best squad does not always equal promotion!! He made some good signings, but equally managed to keep the core of the squad, this was further evidence the squad trusted him, wanted to play for him and that things on the playing side were starting to level out and look far brighter. After a difficult start to League 1, we got our act together and in the end were comfortably promoted at the first time of asking. We'd fallen that far under the ownership of Venkys, that Promotion to the Championship to some is the greatest day of their lives, mainly due to them not being about prior to the premier league years. Back in the championship with mainly a championship squad due to the retention of most of the previous championship squad, you'd expect us to perform with credit, which in the main in the first season back we did. Stability was the word often used, but with some sprinkles of "Punching above our weight". Mowbray has used the loan market well, and in his time at the club brought some superb loan signings in, this is mainly due to the lack of investment on permanent signings. Persuading Armstrong to sign full time was superb, as he did appear to be unattainable. We could argue that he wasted £5 Million on Gallagher and in most quarters prior to this season it was widely regarded he'd also wasted £7 Million on Brereton. The Brereton signing was always a weird one for me, blowing our whole transfer budget and more on a player which has taken a few seasons to impact the team. Should this money have been used more wisely at that time, where we could of got 3 or 4 players to aid a promotion push? Either way following the signings of Gallagher and Brereton and not much return on the pitch from either, there seemed to be a major lack of funds made available to replace players who left via being released, or indeed had left for a decent fee. Balancing the books, FFP, Easily brushed off any prolonged annoyance from the majority of supporters. On the pitch a number of young players who have come through the ranks were starting to get games to plug the holes of no major investment. Mowbray often talks about the Brentford model, but ours has never been like theirs. They have bought wisely, sold wisely but have always reinvested into the playing side of the team. Our money has just covered operational cost, and limited the debt. Last season was a strange season because of Covid, but the collapse with no fans in the stadium, now the collapse is because of the negativity in the stands? Really? This season, we sold Armstrong and made a complete hash of the August window. Mowbray as the face of the club quite rightly gets some flack for this. However lets look further........ We have Waggott, the man who can pull wool over so many peoples eye's including some supporters. How does Venkys a Poultry company in India get introduced to this man? Who introduced him? Many in the this country did not really know who he was. How does he end up with the top job at Ewood? We have Suhail, whose CV Points to how great he is in the food industry, how he has managed the operational side of the Poultry business, and now is the man sanctioning the spend, advising when the owners should or should not spend, is negotiating contracts with Waggott for players that won't sign them, and is signing off sell on clauses for players we buy, bonuses to everyone involved, and along with Waggott is feathering his own nest, and should be nowhere near a football club let alone making decisions in one. We have Mike Cheston, I bet he is delighted that no-one ask him any questions anymore, how he survived the Shaw/Agnew cull is beyond me. Ian (I just do as I'm told) Silvester. How is he still at the club? A man who threatened an elderly supporter (I still have the emails) if he gave his shares to anyone bar venkys that the club would recognise them and his shares would become void!!!!! As snakes go he is up there with the Kean's, Andersons of this world. I could certainly add lots here, but will leave that for another day. Venkys, or Balaji Rao, which in reality is the only one involved in running the club with any interest. Where are they? Lots happy they have not seen their face, but are rovers not suppose to be their "Baby" Do they actually care? I still recall the day the Venkys asked me..... Can I find 6 people who require life saving operations, go into the community select these people, and we will pay!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously play god with the people's lives? Obviously it was something I declined to do instantly. Back on to Mowbray, Its very much still a circus behind the scenes, the owners are not credible, the board are certainly not credible, they collect their cash and hit their own KPI's and drink at the well, with zero accountability or indeed responsibility. I think it's what you call parasites, sucking on the bones and getting every ounce of flavour. In Mowbray, he is probably the only honest one of the lot. However he has to be judged on what has happened on the pitch, and tactically its simply not been good enough. We have not performed above our station, he has tactically blown match after match, with a more than capable squad of players. This stick with a back 5 against the bottom teams, shows no imagination, and ultimately has been found out, by trying to be too clever, but also his defiance to admit he is wrong. He has stuck by his own beliefs and has drawn a blank, and we have are in free-fall. Any credible board would of sacked him at the end of last season, but knowing they were not going to invest, they knew bringing someone in with no budget, it was easier to stick. To be second at the turn of the year, he should of been swinging from the chandeliers for investment, instead the contract rebels made the headlines and January came and went with us signing a kid, a couple of loans and someone we could of had for free in the summer. None have impacted the first team, and we have fallen like a rock off a building. The board, the manager and ultimately the owners are all to blame for this. Expectation may have been low at the beginning of the season from the majority of supporters, as those expectations were based on constant downgrading of players, a poor end to last season and the general feeling that the current regime in the dugout and board had run its cause. However the team clearly over exceeded those expectations in the first few months, and with it raised the supporters expectations. I'm not sure the odds you'd of got in January of us failing to make the play offs or actually not finish in the top 10, but that's now looking more likely the end result. Mowbray brought stability when needed, and has become the human shield for all that is wrong at our club, and has been wrong for the last 12 years. His time was up last season, but after the capitulation of the this season, 100% time to go and hopefully remembered for the good times rather than the last 6 months. However unless those holding fort at Ewood also depart, then the likelyhood of a genuine improvement on Mowbray is doubtful. Its my understanding that the owners are under the impression that we have a very unified supporter base, who support their regime, support those they have put in place, but are increasingly concerned by the Manager. They are also under the impression that a very small minority will find the negative out of everything and this is not overall feeling within the supporter base. On the whole they are pleased with the noises coming out of Ewood and are pleased that there is no negativity from conversations which have been held, and if anything there is a real desire from supporters to support all that is being done.

What the hell was that today? Bloody abysmal. I'm not sure what is worse, the performance, the result, the team selection, or the blind faith and commitment to the current mess by so many on twitter. I mean they could sleep with your wife/husband and some would be downstairs preparing bacon and eggs, until the upstairs antics have finished and then serve it up to both parties. Its groundhog day in terms of, poor team selection, poor team set up, lack of cohesion, outplayed by another team with nothing to play for, and a painful end to the season. With three games to go, can we not just not turn up and give the points to the other team? After all we aint turned up since Xmas so a long break starting tonight would at least not ruin May for us all. I'm really exhausted by all things rovers, its becoming a chore, its not something I enjoy as much or come to think of it enjoy at all. Might be a mid-life crisis, might be an evaluation that the kids are growing up, im getting tired, im getting very fat, and my mobility is not as good as id like. Manager blaming the atmosphere, twitter fans blaming glory supporters and those who question the current status and defend Venkys to the extent im awaiting the justgiving page for a statue of the Rao's. All in all been a crap easter all things rovers.

Its great to see that as supporters we still have a voice, which is needed as much today as it was the day our club went into foreign ownership. Its cringing to see the minority who have been bought out for a prawn sandwich, and quite frankly will never represent my views or the wider supporter bases. They then have the cheek to call out the trust or diss its efforts despite it being a goverment supported legal entity, run by volunteers, because it may upset their new friends. Appauling
