Defender Lucas Neill, for one, is on the cusp of a big move from the backlot of unfashionable Blackburn down to neon-lit London, where Tottenham awaits. Other options for the 26-year-old, whose contract expires next June, are Newcastle, West Ham and Aston Villa. This is a bit of this articleEveryone hates Blackburn but we care!!

The one that got away!I think he scored 2 goals in a 8-0 win and still Souness could not make his mind up.Rej Volpato, called by some "the new Del Piero", at least partly because he came to Juve from Padova,he is at Siena now and is half owned by Juva. Manchester United have been linked with Siena youngster. The teenage striker is a former Juventus youth team product and is still half owned by the Turin giants. United boss Sir Alex Ferguson sent scouts to watch Volpato play for Siena at Udinese last Sunday, where he hit a brace, and they returned purring over his skill. However, the 19-year-old striker, who has been likened to former Juve striker Pierluigi Casiraghi, is likely to return to the Stadio Delle Alpi at the end of the season. -

Gary Bowyers tactics were the reason Rovers were beaten last night. The use of the subs or the lack of them in this case was the overall difference between the two teams.Brighton finished much stronger and with the players stuggling with cramp, Bower still did`nt put some fresh legs on. Overall this team(apart from Clarke & Judge)was very poor.Garner has been found out at this level and looks a different player at this level. -

Sergio Peter has been in red hot form lately for the researves and now is the right time to give him a quick dip in the first team waters and see how he shapes up,Come on Sparky put him on the bench to send MGP a wake up message. -

Lee, what i am trying to say is that the academy has got a very poor defence this year apart from the goali(Feilding). The likes of Thomas,Thomson,King are very poor/average players and it does`nt matter that they are 17 or 27, lately the results have showed that(last 3 games:6-1(lost),4-3,(lost)drew2-2(drew).This team(Academy) with these players in defence will not do well(IMHO) this year.If the coaches cannot see that then it is very sad for BRFC. -

Yes Lee you can tell a good player straight away. When Rovers signed Nelsen, Mark Hughes said that you could tell in the first half hour that we had to sign him!The players that come over mostly have 1 match to show the manager what they can do or what they can`t. It does not take a genius to figure out that the above mentioned players especially the academy defence will be found out this season(6-1 anda 4-3 )he best Players in theire Opionions. This bloke Thomson and Tompson are not very good defenders and i am sure they have been with the Rovers set up for a long time now and if the coaches still can`t tell if they are good defenders then we do have a problem. know the scouts pick them but then they have to play in trial matche in front of these so called coaches so really they have`nt seen them just onece. -

Lee IMHO this current position truely reflects this current Academy team`s rightful place, when they were top and you went and watched them you had to say that it was a bad reflection on the National Academy system. The likes of Thompson( this guy is so fat and yet the Academy staff are not doing anything about it),Barr,Thomsom, king,Howarth are never going to make it in the game(IMHO)and they should be let go asap for there sake and for Rovers`s aswell. My tips for the Top are: Ralph Welch Sergio Peter Frank Fielding-excellent Young player.Big hopes Dark Horses with a bit of hard work: Junior Dadson Ryan Woods Abdi Ahmed P.s Lee was the Man City striker who scored the hattrick for them by any chance Daniel Sturridge?Do you see any similaraties in Junior Dadson and Sturridge? -

I think Sergio Peter is a good player and worth a new contract.Rovers have made good contacts in Germany and are increasing the amount of players from the German market. They have just this season signed Kevin Pezzonni and Mamdia Keita, both German under 17 internationals. Keita signed from FC Klone in particular is worth keeping an eye on and was chased by the big German Clubs before opting for the Rovers. Keita -

What is Dickov doing? I just don`t understand what is going on in his mind. The guy is a disgrace and should be taken to account by the manager.A simple fine means nothing to the modern day player and after all the flack of last season which this club received he goes and does that.I hate this kind of football and it "kills" the game in more ways then one.Hughes has still got no creativity in the team, after admitting last season on more then one occasion that he had no one with the "key to unlock" and this will be a major problem if not addressed before the transfer deadline. -

There`s a winger/striker by the name of Abdi Ahmed(Somalian) who should be playing for the Academy this year worth keeping an eye on.I remember him playing for Wales in the victory Sheild and leading them to the finals with his goals for the first time , since a certain Mark Hughes lead Wales to the finals.I think Rovers pinched him from Man U. Here`s a link passed on by someone who`s seen him play this year and a certain Keith Treacy is in the opposing team. Rovers starlet. -

After the Last game of the germany tour Hughes said that if that game had been today Bellamy would have played.Since that game we have played Swansea and Grimsby and still no sign of Bellamy. -

I also heard these comments off our manager Hughes regarding bellamy. It just shows our manager tells porkies but why play mind games in pre-season and with who is he playing these mind games,no other then Swansea and Grimsby. -

Keith Treacy (Blackburn Rovers) from Sherrif Street, Dublin, is a highly rated left sided midfielder who first earned Ireland honours at Under 15 level. Formerly with Belvedere, Keith Treacy was Ireland’s top scorer at Under 16 level with six goals last season before moving to Blackburn Rovers. Capable of playing wide in midfield as well, Treacy is a powerful, tall attacker who strikes fear into the opposition with his direct style of play. -
