  1. I been Yu & You and really enjoyed the food but I found it rather dark inside. Ciao Baby at Egerton for us on Saturday.
  2. Deluded MMA fans say that. A forum I go on some people say it will surpass football! Deluded as I say.
  3. Boxing will always draw more than MMA and that will never change, coming from an MMA fan too. Doesn't help that the majority of people around the world are a bit ignorant to the rules, regulations and sanctions in MMA competition. HUMAN COCKFIGHTING BARE KNUCKLE FIGHTS TO THE DEATH IN THE STEEL CAGE etc. Not that I blame people for thinking that way mind, if it doesn't grab you it just doesn't grab you, so if the interest isn't there then people won't look into it too deeply. It's come a long way in the last 25 years though. I'm just a combat sports fan in general really.
  4. I don't know you from Adam Vinjay so excuse me if you think I'm speaking out of turn here, but obsessing over trivial things such as this will do your health no good at all. I honestly mean that with the best will in the world.
  5. Wasn't Blizzcon by any chance was it?? The jokes write themselves, however poor.
  6. I was saying exactly this to my wife a few weeks ago. Think John Lewis got the ball rolling and everyone seems to have followed suit.
  7. Haye is a blown up cruiserweight, with not many top level wins at heavyweight. Ruiz I would still class as credible even though if it was the end of his career. You can only fight who is around at the time though I suppose. But he does have the speed and the ring savvy I believe to take a fight with Joshua into the later rounds, still don't think he would win like but it would be interesting to see how Joshua's cardio holds up in the later rounds with all that muscle. This is assuming of course if he can avoid getting caught flush in the early rounds.
  8. Martin knew that fight wasn't his. He came over for the payday, not that I blame him like.
  9. I certainly agree with that Gav and for what it's worth, I'm not even a massive fan of Fury either!
  10. So someone is more of an embarrassment for saying certain things rather than actual physically beating a woman? And Tyson was CONVICTED RAPIST. Ok then. Bit of a warped logic that. For what it's worth, none are a an embarrassment to boxing in my opinion. Although Tyson goes close to the knuckle by biting part of someone's ear off mid fight. Embarrassment eh? What about respect for what Fury did to Klitschko? You talk about 80 punches etc and I'm not trying to tell you how to suck eggs here but there's nuances like footwork etc involved in boxing and that night was a great performance from Fury to make a previously unbeatable looking fighter look ordinary. As a combat sports fan you can't help but have respect for that.
  11. I just can't take to Joshua, I'm not sure if I can buy his nice guy act, I can't quite put my finger on it. I think even you would admit you've gone over the top saying Fury is an embarrassment to the sport but hey, I can accept he's not everyone's cup of tea! It would be very boring if we were all the same!
  12. I think Fury brings some much needed character to the division personally. The alternative is the same old clichés being trotted out, same faceless challengers getting smashed back into oblivion etc. Like him or loathe him he gets people talking and I'd say the heavyweight division right now is the most interesting it's been for a long long time. Wilder too to a lesser extent, he will come out and say this and that and with his 'bomb squad' chant etc. I hope Fury retains his titles and I believe he will do too. Klitschko still has a good chance, I'm certainly not writing him off, but there was zero things he did in the last fight to suggest he has enough in him to win them back. Fury is obviously no Sugar Ray or even a Pernell Whitaker, but I think he has Wladimir's number.
  13. I'm with you on Skyler K-Hod, that woman was insufferable. There's quite a few characters on that show that are generally unlikeable.
  14. Aye but we won't add quality and blend perfectly the likes of Kante, Okazaki and Fuchs unfortunately!
  15. That's the pot calling the kettle sooty arsed, Cundy calling someone a clown!
  16. Don't sweat the small stuff Vinjay.
  17. I was thinking the same. Does anyone actually truly 'enjoy' a pint of Foster's?
  18. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3491766/Wolfsburg-striker-Max-Kruse-hit-20-000-club-fine-losing-60-000-money-backseat-taxi.html Dozy git!
  19. Went to Mowgli Street Food today at the Corn Exchange in Manchester, was delicious. We were going to go to Wahaca like Madon above, until we saw they had Mowgli, as we always fancied the one in Liverpool. Will definitely go again as well as Wahaca too though!
  20. We went down trying and fighting. We would have gone down more meekly than that in the past, that I'm confident of. Leeds pulling out a perfect away performance was the only story of the day for me.
  21. Glad I didn't end up paying £17 for it, from the sounds of things. I have fight pass so I watched UFC Silva vs Bisping instead. Which as it happens was pretty uneventful overall, besides from the main event. That was good.
  22. Haven't watched wrestling in over 15 years (though watched a bit of TNA semi regularly during 2006), saw this article and found it interesting. Don't know how true it is but thought it might be worth a read for the wrestling fans, see if you agree with it. http://www.cracked.com/blog/5-reasons-wwe-dying-and-how-to-fix-it/
  23. I wouldn't say I said anything particularly spoiler worthy, besides which in the grand scheme of things what has been said couldn't change what a powerful programme it is.
  24. What they did to that 16 year old boy was disgusting.
