  1. You beat me fair and square Mike, besides which, someone else might want it yet!
  2. I bow out, you bugger! However if my wife wasn't expecting, I would have certainly gone further.
  3. 4 episodes in, going to watch a couple more tonight.
  4. Doesn't look like he's trying too hard in the gym whenever I've seen him.
  5. Shame about Peter, he had a bit of potential. Remember going to Everton away, he came on as a sub at half time and was the only positive thing about that day (we lost 1-0 to an early Beattie header and Chang beer is sh1t). I heard he got heavily into gambling, which could have been his downfall. Used to badger the senior players for cash etc, how true this is I don't know, I may be doing the guy a disservice.
  6. I can't help but like Fury these days, what do we want, a bunch of robots all repeating the same old clichés etc? That's what's the heavyweight division has been like the last 10+ years, a period which many people were wanting something different. He's a character, sets tongues wagging and he calls a spade a spade. He's obviously not everyone's cup of tea which is fair enough but he's got people talking at least. Two world heavyweight champions in a confrontation giving each other verbal live on TV? Great stuff imo.
  7. Cheers, I'll have a look later on. I liked Mexes' too and nearly plumped for that myself. He's always had that in his locker has Mexes.
  8. Could hardly buggerin' get a good look at em! Esteban Ramirez would be my choice from what I can see but chances are it will be Messi or the lass from America.
  9. Funny you should mention that as my mate knows a bloke that is getting training partners together for Collins. Apparently they are trying to arrange a mini 3 way tournament with Benn and Eubank Sr, daft old buggers. Just got told this yesterday. He also said the shape Collins is in, he would lose every time.
  10. To be fair we weren't experimenting, 3 of the dishes we'd had before, eaten better elsewhere and cooked better myself too. For me if it's tasty and goes down well, the price is never an issue. Like I say we didn't try any of the Indian dishes, some of them looked really good too. I wouldn't be completely averse to going again, but only if friends of ours really wanted to go etc Also as a general rule of thumb, restaurants that do two different cuisines, don't fill me with much confidence. We overlooked this when we booked for Vermilion.
  11. Went to Vermilion last Friday and I have to say I left overly disappointed. Food was mixed for me, I felt my main was rather bland, however hers was very tasty. We did just go for Thai though and didn't try any Indian food, which I believe would have a better chance of being consistently good, as the owner looks to be from that way. Decor I found to be quite tacky I'm afraid. I was sat on an awful swivel chair, it was like a £2 special from B&M Bargains. The glass they brought with my beer had come straight out of the washer, hadn't been dried. The mocktails however were delicious! All in all for £100, I expected more from the experience.
  12. Passed up on it last week for the Rotherham game, booked it for this Friday instead though. Looking forward to it.
  13. He let Mcgregor get in his head and went to blitz him early. Aldo has always had cardio issues throughout his career, so probably thought the best way was to go all out early to not let Conor find his rhythm. That coupled with the fact he has a tough weight cut to make featherweight (there's been talk of him moving to lightweight permanently for years) could have been a factor. Aldo threw a lot into that and Conor just hit the sweet spot at the perfect time, don't think that would happen again if they fought another 100 times. His approach did surprise me, I was expecting Aldo to leg kick him into oblivion.
  14. Didn't see the boxing last night as I was at a 21st. I just can't warm to Joshua. Can't quite put my finger on just why at the moment though, was hoping for a Whyte victory. I'm a fan of combat sports in general so I'm a fan of the (pseudo) sport of MMA. I know it's not for everyone as the grappling aspect doesn't always grab people (no pun intended). I get it's not for everyone, but there are some fighters with great stand up skills in MMA. Obviously they generally won't really ever get to the same level skill wise as a boxer, they have multiple other disciplines to train and devote time to. You get fighters with tight technique, you get some with sloppy technique. I've seen some K-1 fights with some sloppy combos and MMA with great combos, and vice versa.
  15. Football players being there is something that might put me off actually. Still haven't decided what to do yet, it's a real conundrum. Though it was going to be a surprise for her so she doesn't know yet....what she doesn't know won't hurt her? Right?
  16. Anybody been to Vermilion in Manchester? Taking the wife on Friday, TripAdvisor has mixed reviews but heard good things from a couple of others. Edit- Holy sh!t!! Just realised that's Rotherham at home..... what am I going to do??
  17. We needed a change at the top, there's no doubt about that. Klitschko went the way of GSP after he got knocked out, ultra careful, it was his downfall tonight and I for one and so glad it did.
  18. Klitschko will retire now I think. Great gameplan from Fury and cracking performance. Did what he needed to do.
  19. He's taking fights all over, had a fight booked at Haydock against some local fighter in September. He pulled out in the end though. Bills need paying I suppose.
  20. Agree Canelo was always going to be bigger and stronger at that weight but Cotto certainly has some mileage on him. Not seen it myself but apparently the Rigondeaux fight was poor.
  21. I saw the Cotto fight and agree. Canelo is an animal.
  22. Yes Chaobaby is the way we go when we eat at Trafford, though usually I like to steer clear of buffet restaurants!
