It's a nice walk to the ground from Cherry Tree station. The Station and Beehive are across from each other. Then it's a short walk down the nearby canal to the Navigation and Kings Inn. Up the road from these two are the Livesey Branch Road pubs, taking you down to Ewood Park. A pint in them all will leave you not caring what the result is - enjoy your visit.

Postal Order gets more Rovers fans in before the match than any other town centre pub. Same after the match too. Takes too long to be served some times though - typical Wetherspoons.

He always liked Rovers too. Seen him at Ewood a few times over the years.

I used to get down Reading quite a lot a few years ago. Watched Rovers at Elm Park once or twice. My sister lived there and her bloke was a Reading fan. He used to get really angry when people called Reading the 'Royals'. "We're not the Royals." He would rant. We're the 'Biscuitment!" was his retort. Something to do with Reading manufacturing biscuits and the firms financing the club.

I think we're going to take a lot of fans. I'm looking forward to seeing how good the beer is in Rotterdam. So you Feyenoord fans, can you recommend a good beer that comes from Rotterdam? Not chemical, but real beer made by real brewers. And which is the place where this beer can be found?

Imagine it had been Chelsea or Manure. We'd never have heard the last of it. This makes Ewood Park a sporting World Heritage site. The club, and the council, could do with pushing this milestone.

Yout favourite photo looks the perfect place for a railway station for the ground. It's long overdue.

I love real ale. It's definitely on its way back. I like 3 Bs from Blackburn, as well as Thwaites. Real ale is not only a better taste, but comes from Britain too - unlike fizzy, pasteurised, tasteless lager.

You're being technical now - not even City fans call manure Trafford United. Also, you could say Nottingham Forest are in West Bridgford, even though they're right across the river from Notts County. They're still part of Nottingham, just like Old Trafford's part of Manchester. The Irwell separates it from Salford. So us and Stanley are the nearest and dearest - not in the same town/city - I think!

Ewood Park is nearer to the Crown Ground than Bolton town centre is to the Breezeblock - which is nearer to Wigan's town centre than Bolton's. Burnden Park used to be only six miles from Gigg Lane, but the Reebock is double the distance. The Breezeblock isn't that far from Preston either.

Interesting fact: When Stanley get promoted to the football league, they and Rovers will be the nearest English league teams not in the same city. Ewood Park is only five and a half miles from the Crown Ground. Turf Moor is only half a mile further from the Crown. Blackburn is only 9 miles from Preston, 10 from Burnley, 12 from Bolton, 15 from Bury and 18 from Wigan. Definitely footlball clogged.

Used to like the Vulcan. But the beer wasn't something to write home about - never sold cask in years. Little Charlie Bronson (George) still has the Welly in Preston - but doesn't like to be reminded about the Vulcan any more.

The West View and Gib both serve cracking pints of cask bitter. Good pubs too. In the town centre I'm very impressed by the cask bitter and mild in St. John's Tavern. Sadly there's only about half a dozen pubs in the town centre where you can get a pint of real ale - scandalous!

Be interesting tp see what happens to the Reebok in the future. Surprisingly, it's actually nearer Wigan's town centre than Bolton's. About six miles from both. If it all went wrong at Wigan - or Bolton - they could end up merging.
