Player of the match again today according to the BBC. A once in a generation player for us.

Yep, and thanks to the dire situation the caretakers of the club left us in we've cashed in as soon as possible when we could have got a bigger figure at the end of the season, in addition to actually having a midfield in the second half of the season.

That said, Eustaceball may have devalued him a bit!

  2. I notice Mr No Excuses spent most of the interview making excuses... again.

No time for this manager at all, doesn't even talk a good game let alone play one. At the end of the season the best case scenario will be we're still in the Championship with a manager who will have won at most 1 or 2 games in 15 or so games. In no way should he be anywhere near the club come July 1st, but he will be, we won't invest and regardless of the league we end up in we'll have another dismal season.

The QPR winner yesterday is the sort of thing Eustace’s rovers would never be brave enough to get (see Hyam calming the fans down in injury time vs Millwall). It’s the 92nd minute, they’re drawing 1-1 in a massive relegation six pointer, the centre back goes up field for the goalkeeper’s kick to get a winner

If we go down by a point Hyam needs to be stripped of the captaincy for that. Well, in my opinion he shouldn't be anyway but that really does epitomise the lack of ambition and standards at the club currently.

It’s quite simple really, if you get rid of players like:

    Rothwell

    Lenihan

    Dack

    Philips

    Diaz

    Wharton

    Kaminsky

If you tell lies to the manager and he leaves too, you end up in relegation trouble.

    Nobody should be surprised.

    VENKYS OUT, NOTHING ELSE MATTERS

There's one thing losing those players, the criminal thing is doing absolutely nothing to replace them. This is utterly unsustainable on every single level.

  5. Even if it turns out Eustace is a good manager (and very little of what I have seen gives me that impression) it won't matter. In the summer we'll shed a bunch of already poor high earners and replace them with freebies and children, and will go down next year instead. If he is as poor as I think he might be then we'll just look that worse doing it.

  6. Of the top 4 this feels like the most winnable, and we showed earlier this season that we can put goals past them if we go for it. However, I don't see us going for it under Eustace, and even if we did we literally only have Sammie as a danger.

We'll play for a draw and hope we can nick it, so for me it will be 0-0 or 0-2. That said with 2 weeks maybe Eustace will finally have them playing.

  7. Unbelievable statement, it really is. No one could have possibly thought that would do anything other than fan the flames. It does nothing other than deflect and leave pretty much everyone as much in the dark as they were already. After the past 18 months for them to come out and act as if they are putting a ton of money in when they have slashed the budget to the bone and left it to rely on itself is a joke.

Something needs to change, and in the immediacy Swag would be a good start, with the owners to follow.

  8. A point that in isolation looks good with a clean sheet and performance, but with the context recent results just isn't good enough. The fixtures next month meant that we absolutely had to win at least one or two of the games in Feb/March and we've failed miserably.

Still absolutely nothing here to convince me I want Eustace anywhere near this club next season regardless of league.

They’ve loaned players to go almost straight into the first 11. We loan players to sit on the bench.

I honestly don't see the point of us "utilising the loan market" every window when all we ever do is bring in players who wouldn't even get a game in the U21s. If we're going to play players who can't hack it at this level they may as well at least be our own.

I can’t watch or listen to his rubbish, he’s just another Kean, talking absolute rubbish and not seemingly watching the same games we are.

At least JDT had pride and spoke with honesty, even if his tactics were failing, this guy is a journey man and taking a wage for misleading us fans and talking rubbish.

I think if he just came out and said "we were second best, we've got some stuff to go and work on in the week ahead" I'd be able to stomach him a bit more. Fans appreciate honesty, they generally don't appreciate blatant lying, especially after over a decade of it from almost everybody associated with the club.

He's got a worse win rate than both Coyle and Kean.

A couple of more games and he'll have a worse record than Berg and Appleton.

No win at Boro and we should be seriously considering giving it to Damian Johnson, similar to what we did when Gary Bowyer took over. Gets on well with the players and is popular enough with the fans to bring everyone together for the final push.

This anti-football is only making the fans turn quicker, and as much as he's pretending otherwise it doesn't look like the players are exactly into it.

  12. Ultimately, this is the biggest test yet - not necessarily in terms of opposition but Eustace has a week to prepare. If we're still as bad as we have been in the last week or so then I don't see how he can possibly be here after the international break (he wouldn't be at a serious club at least).

At best we'll get a draw, but we've been lucky to even do that in the last week and even the customary Sammie goal won't be enough here.

    Boro 3-1 Rovers.

Well done Kyle. Never want to see him play for the club again after that. Cost us the game.

A point good in the circumstances. But 2 points from 3 relegation six pointers is terrible.

Still no win for the manager. Shocking.

Don't be silly, we were getting battered way before that and would likely have conceded anyway.

Agree on Eustace unfortunately, he's got to go. He has less urgency than the players and that's saying something.
