Result.
Away Point and a clean sheet. Job done.
On the flip side, yet another game against an awful side where we have failed to win. There's not a chance we're picking up points against sides at the top in the run in and we badly need points on the board now.
We're awful and deserve to go down.

When the squad has anyone decent in it stripped and the top mamagement publicly state there is no ambition then it's only a matter of time until the more senior players give up. Sammie knows he'll get flogged in the summer anyway so why bother runming himself into the ground anymore.
Waggott and Venkys out!

Every time you think they can't get worse they do. Absolutely no spine and I fully expect us to get nothing out of this now.

That’ll be that, I reckon.
Buzzing about this new era
New era, old era, doesn't matter. Same players, same crap results. At the investment level we have we're only going one way, as much as Andy Holt thinks we have the greatest owners in the universe. And that's before you consider the non investment calamities.

Just come in from some errands. Are Stoke that bad or are we up for it for a change?

Having had a bit of time to digest everything I have mixed feelings. Eustace seems to be living entirely off of the first 10 or so games of this season and has done nothing in his career to suggest he can do anything but keep his head above water, which is perfect for Swag but potentially a disaster for the club.
Of course, as Rovers manager, he deserves a chance to prove himself and I'll back him, but this appointment is a major risk.

Have to say Tomasson gave me Jeremy Corbyn vibes (think what you will of him!) First glimmer of hope in years, enjoyed watching us play, though with its flaws. Did a good job and a what if / could of gone all the way if backed properly
The bench we've been putting out for most this season has barely been league 2 standard.. crazy really.
Honestly unless the owners by some miracle do one or get their act together leagues 2 is where I'd expect to be within 10 years.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if it is Fowler that gets it
I can't see it. Waggott knows full well the reaction would be even more negative than it is already.

“As was previously communicated by the club, Rovers will fly over to the United States over the coming weeks to try to conclude a pre-contract agreement with Orlando City, so that the 23-year forward can officially become a Rovers player in the summer.”
Time for some pay back Duncan, tell them you’re not interested just as the flight sets off from Manchester.
That will teach the clowns 👍🏻
Isn't this the exact stunt they played with Brierly(sp)?
"Sign him, cock up the paperwork, get a pre-contract deal and then watch as they go literally anywhere else)"
It's like they're doing it deliberately to pretend that they're still ambitious.

They were sixth.
The club were sixth in the Championship table when they surprisingly dismissed John Eustace in October,
6th, 2nd, doesn't really matter. We were 7th a month later and look where we are now. There's no guarantee they were going to keep the results they had up. It was definitely harsh to sack him, but we shouldn't be making decisions based on 2 months of games.

33% win ratio as a manager I believe.
I've said it a few times though, his win rate was never the issue, it's always been the loss rate.
For a lot of last year he was at 50-50... if we had the ability to draw more reliably we'd have made play-offs last season and been in less danger this.

If we are moving back to a manager only model I can only assume that the model they had required them to reinvest the Wharton money and now they have no intention of doing so.
The next mansger needs to be a miracle worker.

One thing to make a point of is Suhail isn't in the room. JDT isnt in the room. Steve Waggot's bread and butter after stints at Charlton and Coventry is cost cutting and angry fans.
Yep, unfortunately that history makes him utterly unsuitable to turn the club around but perfect for Venky's to keep the circus going.

Torn on this whole situation and there is no real good to come from it. I can understand some of the players' frustrations, as we're expecting a lot of players to make an immediate impact moving up into the first team, but it is fairly standard to hear boos when you put in performances like ours this last month or two.
That said, with it out there and the fans making clear the players are not in the firing line, there's no reason why we can't be vocally behind the players and against the owners. We cannot afford to be relegated again so anything we can do to help should be considered.

Genuinely? I see Szmodics as the only winner in the team. All maturity and physicality has been phased out of our team. That is 90% JDT's doing. It is men against boys most weeks and that is why we have won 1 in 11.
We were wet under TM as well and have been for years, not to mention the squad has largely been assembled by people who aren't JDT both before and during his tenure.
Don't get me wrong, our football isn't physical enough for me either, but this is at least in part due to the "development" model.

“Similar to what I said just after the transfer window, the lad has been completely let down and so have we,” the Welshman said.
“I personally or anyone from the sporting side has not heard a word from Blackburn, whether that is an explanation, an apology or what, I don’t know. I don’t think we would behave like that.
“It is complete mismanagement of a situation. We are annoyed at that and the common courtesy of not having a call or a text from anyone and I know some people on the football side at Blackburn as well.
“Let’s just say we wouldn’t treat a player or a club the way we or Lewis has been treated.
“Sometimes when you are on the other end of things like this you learn how not to treat people and that is where we are at. We won’t let Lewis down, others might, we won’t.” Steve Cooper
On the flip side, they "didn't let Lewis down" by immediately signing someone else and punting him down to the reserves, so hard to say how firm his morals are.

Rovers 0-3 Stoke
I don't see where any points come from, and if Sammie is injured and the Americans transfer has collapsed as rumoured we're stuck.
I get the feeling it's about to get very toxic.

Its the only logical conclusion ..
Deliberate relegation they have history with that ..
I think that's a stretch even for them - if that was the case why didn't they do it last time we went down?
I think it's more likely complete and utter incompetence.

To be fair he wants the sack...only way for him to get out of this mess and still get paid one and a half season.
Sounds like he was happy to walk away for free and they won't let him tbf. Still wants the sack, but for seemingly different reasons. As much as I want him gone, he said as much as he could with what he didn't say there. I get the impression he loves the fans and the players, but the owners are killing him.

I noticed he is saying to ask Steve and Suhail on McGuire and not Gregg as he normally would.
Which begs the question: Will we see the post window GB interview at all, or is he trying to escape too?

Interestingly it seems directed at waggot and suhail and not Broughton.
They came along at a similar time, I expect they both feel the same way about the project compared what was sold to them. This is certainly a problem stemming from further up.

Just waiting for JDT to say he’s quitting. If he does, I hope he bollocks Teflon Steve and Our “fantastic” owners before he closes the door.
Sounds like he basically did and was told he can't because of his contract. Him not wanting to be here since summer explains 90% of his attitude this season.

I had it in my head that the club had said they weren't putting gambling companies on the shirts anymore when we moved to Recoverite?
Have I completely made that up?
