[Archived] Benni Mccarthy - Gone

It's amazing that people can question McCarthys performace. A striker is there to score goals, if he scores around 20 a season he could be as lazy as he wants for all I care. -
[Archived] Shabani Nonda Signs
krislu replied to FourLaneBlue's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Nonda has done ok'ish I guess, but I do not think he's the player that will take us to the next level. Can't really see Hughes signing him, not for £2m anyway. I'm sure Hughes will wait and see who is available before making a move on Nonda. But we need a fourth striker thats for sure... -

If not, the buying clubs will have to really dig deep in their pockets! -

Time to bring this old tread back. Anyone who regrets they didn't put any money on their predictions? As it stands now I got Villa, City and Watford spot on We might still get that 7th place. Anyone got the correct top and bottom three? -
Damn! Bloody bad news that ugly spurs are stealing all the points here!
-
3-2 great!!
-
West Ham are useless, they surely will lose this one now..
-
No suprise really, its just a case of them testing him before buying him in the summer. He has done pretty much nothing since he came, so I do not expect him to stay for next season.

[Archived] More Madness From Mcclaren
krislu replied to RevidgeBlue's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Surley Maclaren should get a lot of stick, I mean you have just lost 1-0 to Spain, how poor can you get?! When will the general English public understand that the England team just aint as good as you think? There is one reason why England never seem to win anything, one reason, YOU AINT GOOD ENOUGH! Getting a new manager in won't help one bit.. -
He's a player who ain't improving the team at all in my opinion. I thought it was embarrassing when we signed him and I was sure he wouldn't get much playing time. Now it seems Hughes thinks he is good enough to hold down a regual place in our starting XI, and that really is sad. I just hope Samba can show some quality and Nelsen to stay fit, because I do not want to see Henchoz playing 20-30 games a season for us!
-
Another year of Henchoz I feel sick...
-
Nelsen soon back in action!
-
Fair play to Neill going for the big bucks. I guess Benitez wouldn't give him an important role in the team, so Neill would rather be a regular name on the starting XI at West Ham while getting a hughe payraise. I would have done the same thing!

A good signing if he can stay fit. -

Would be nice if a moderator could add a poll on the Dunn transfer. -

Jan, you are wrong if you think everyone have an element of performance based payment in their working-contract.

http://www.footytube.com/2006/12/16/readin...leaves-it-late/ Nice strike by Bentley!

A booking would have been very very harsh though.. Disallowed goal by McCarthy, correct. Good shot by Gamst
-
And a horrible tackle it was..
-
Very strange line up. First sign of desperation by Hughes? I remember the days when no-one had a clue what our lineup would look like when Souness was in charge. Having said that, Hughes must try something, because what we have done lately surely aint working.

Lets hope we get Zulte Waregem. They are currently 11th in the Belgium league...

Around 15 000 at the JJB tonight, watching Wigan vs Arsenal.
