IMO Todd has a way to high status among the supporters, some people on this board even thinks he is among the 4-5 best defenders in the league...

Stopp talking about Emerton, the whole team was awful. Neill - Todd - Mokoena - Matteo => repeat that 10 times, think about it, just how good are these players, really?! My pre-season optimism has now gone compleatly down the drain, there is no way we will be among the top 10 at the end of the season if we aint going to sign at least 2 more players..

IMO we need a left back who can defend, a centre back who can defend, and a creative midfielder like cahill who can play just infront of our midfield in a 4-5-1 formation. We can NOT play with to out-and-out strikers who offers nothing in defense, we just can't..

Winning 4-0 against Espanyol sounds like a really strong result, just hope they played their best players, didn't know many of the names in their starting XI. It will be a hughe disappointment if Bellamy ain't playing against West Ham, as we can not afford having our star forward out injured...

Surely 9 or 10 out of the players starting today won't start against West Ham, no worries! Hughes is just giving everyone a fair chance to prove themself before the new season kicks off... I will be more interested in our performance against Espanyol as I'm pretty sure we will field a strong XI for that one..

Have you ever read such rubbish before?! Looks like no-one will give us any credit, Mark Huges did a brilliant job when he took over last season! Anyway, this is nothing to get worked up about. I for one am looking forward watching us battle hard and dirty against the media sweethearts Arsenal, Chelsea and ManU this season..
