Still can't get used to all our players having number 10... ??
But a suçcessful campaign for 10Bet i guess in that we talk about it and other fans take the piss (meaning they talk it too...)

I know this is a thread to be contrary, but Alan Shearer is one of the all time great strikers in this country and we had him when he was one of the world’s top forwards. Newcastle never really had the player that we had after his injury for them in ‘97. The bloke was phenomenal.
It was a privilege to see him in the colours of my beloved Blackburn Rovers and I’ll take the memories to the end of my days.
This is exactly why it annoyed me so much that it seemed to be "off limits" for some reason.

Quite. But what would you expect him to say on an occasion like this?
"Can you use the picture of me in a Newcastle shirt?" ??

Never actually mentioned his opinion of Rovers - merely that he seemed to dislike being reminded that he won his only medal with us. To the point that it appeared unmentionable whilst his scoring exploits at Newcastle were brought up every bloomin week...
-
Would suggest to the club that they make a minor adjustment to include each title/trophy winning team in their entirety - after that fair enough with individual achievements and outstanding contributions.
As for Dunn - gtfo ?

How about playing badminton? (Obviously not with matching shorts unless your initials are JT...)

Isnt that normal though? Wouldnt you rather win the Premier League with Rovers than with Newcastle, to spin it?
That i could deal with. Just seemed that for a very long time he only talked about Newcastle - the 20 year anniversary "coverage" meant he couldn't avoid it but prior to that it was like John Cleese and the Germans...

Alan Shearer is not a nice bloke and hates being reminded that he won the league at Rovers.

If nothing else BB has got us talking to each other (mostly about other things but still)... Maybe this is why he cost so much - he is actually a socialmedia guru ??

Only one sub from that Forest game is still here: Emnes, Stokes, Joao, Guthrie, Tomlinson, Brown, Fisher
As far as the first team, not many left from that either: Raya, Nyambe, Ward, Hoban, Williams, Mahoney, Lowe, Akpan, Feeney, Bennett, Gallagher
Fair to say we've seen some significant improvement across the pitch since those dark days.
Anyone still think Mowbray isn't doing a decent job?? ??

Worth thinking about from Rodwells perspektive - just how many games has he actually whilst here when Mulgrew is fit?
-
So an transfers then...
Mowbray - take away the fee for BB and i think most would say he is doing better than expected this season. Include the fee and many will suggest we could/should be doing better.
Fine line to draw.

Haven't seen the game but just a comment on Bell. Reminds me of Nyambe 1-2 years ago. The raw material is there but many thought Nyambe wouldn't cut it - hopefully Bell can develop in a similar way with coaching and perhaps a bit more gym work in the summer.

I’d have put everything I own on Dack ............. that .......... ?
Imagine a "fill in the missing Words" question from when he joined compared to now..? ?

The point is, he competed! Never stopped, chased every ball, closed down defenders, won balls in the air. Offered so much more than Brereton.
His main problem is that the ball doesn't stick, he couldn't trap a bag of cement as they say. But surely he can learn?
Jason Roberts... ?
Totally agree though - kept them busy and got a goal as well (they all count ?)

I'm actually reacting after viewing him in L1. To be fair, I'd love it if you were laughing at me in 6-12 months when Nuttall has proved me wrong.
It won't happen though.
Thought he looked like a different player today compared to last season. Pretty much gave a performance that BB needs to learn from...

Hopefully it does pal, at least that will mean we aren't all circus following chimps. Sorry for the pun. Good win, but people are allowed to criticise, even if most don't like it.
Are people allowed to point out positives without being labelled* or does it really only work one way?
*Circus chimps is a new one though i would reserve it for previous managers, executives and the owners themselves post Allardyce and pre Mowbray. (Bowyer excepted despite his flaws)

It’s not sound either way tbh. Just thought as fans of the same club we would all celebrate a good win together?
Interesting - most of us are celebrating a great away win.

Does this give you a better insight K-Hod?

Why are people scoring points against fellow fans?
We won, are we not all having a good time because of that? Weird.
It rubs both ways. Plenty of point scoring after a loss or draw or is that ok?

Bit sad to troll your fellow fans when there's much more to celebrate but different strokes for different folks I suppose.
As for the game, wasn't a classic but was it ever going to be against Millwall? Hope Mowbray has learned a bit more about his players after this.Think we do a decent job of trolling ourselves...
As for the last bit: i hope TM today was deliberately choosing to finish the game strongly having seen how the team can't hold on to leads.
If it was just luck then fair enough - a lucky manager is even better than a good One ???

At least Dick Turpin wore a mask.
Doesn't change the fact we've been awful or that playing like this is unsustainable imo in the long run.
Hope TM doesn't see the scoreline as an endorsement for lining up with 2 attacking players.
Hmm how many attacking players did we finish the game with?
-
Nuttall just won a header - that puts him 1 ahead of BB on that front
