wonder if valerian is thinking about the exit door🙂,you can`t blame him

Going back - I wonder if Lambert paid a ”get-out” fee or if he was the inspiration for the conditionality around JDT, JE and probably VI?

Quitting is not an option 🤣

They are both pretty much run of the mill championship footballers who people obviously don't see much future potential in nor how they could go straight into their team and do a job.  So there is no one prepared to pay a fee for them because their types aren't in demand they exceed supply at this level.

If they became free or could be snapped up for a few hundred grand and would fit into the interested clubs pay bracket i think there'd be a taker, for Buckley at least.

Suspect wages are also an issue - both given new contracts before the pursestrings were really tightened.

Suspect even loan moves involve us paying a fair chunk of the tab

  3. I am a little concerned that Baath might be offered a better deal by a canny club aiming for promotion. The difference he made to our defence was significant and he showed he can definitely hack it. I'm assuming we will offer him the same as last season and the only question is can he be arsed moving for a few grand extra a week knowing full well that whoever signs him will only give him a 1 year deal (yes i know he only gets a 1 year deal at Rovers but given our amazing transfer record it is a fair bet that another 1 year deal will be offered in 2026 providing he can still walk...)

  4. Minutes of meetings are very very rarely an accurate record of what was actually said and how it was said. More important is to know and respect (and support) the efforts of fan groups to publicly highlight the clown show that is our board, executives and owners.

The minutes presented make it incredibly obvious that our executives are full of shit, couldn't plan a piss up in a brewery and that the facade is cracking. They should be applauded for getting this on record in the public domain rather than being admonished for not calling SW/SS/RG/VENKYS total idiots when anyone with 2 brain cells can read that between the lines.

For club executives of Blackburn Rovers to make idiotic comparisons to Leeds United and also openly admit that hitting a revenue target is more important than growing our fan base (which would lead to increased revenue longer term) ON RECORD is pretty damning. The statement that it is difficult/impossible to sort out contracts before the end of the season further confirms the total lack of "joined up thinking" at Rovers as they should have been sorted at the end of the 22/23 season or at worst 23/24 if, as per their description, things can only be sorted post season.

There is 100% showdown talks , think I mentioned this last week.

All media videos have been sent to India just in case they missed them. 😉

Also other things of interest being sent too, we can't allow the fabricated version to go to the Raos.

Finger pointing, apportioning of blame has become a common trait in the SLT at Rovers over the years and it's no different now

I think we are back to the Shagnew v Singh days at boardroom level, and only current results may save some of them.

Let's see who goes under the bus, though 1000% the Raos have been put in the picture

Who are the 2 factions this time?

  6. Managed all of 25 seconds and quite frankly Gestede is K*%N level duplicitous

Edit: would have loved to have shared a taxi with Big Sam after the show - pretty sure he wouldn't have been quite so subtle

  7. Whilst I have voted yes to BRFCS backing the aims of the coalition IN PRINCIPLE, it is very hard to say that BRFCS is backing the aims of the coalition without actually being told what those are...??

Fair comment that Glen M acknowledges that it cannot be "his vision" but at present the information above fails to give any indication of what the coalitions aims are (unless it is very simply to give blanket support to each and every group regardless of their agenda). Am I implicitly give approval to any action decided by any group or is the coalition already a defined allegiance of existing groups?)

Apologies if i have missed the bloody obvious - would like this to actually achieve traction but fear that it lacks clarity in who and what are being backed and the aims (although i would hope the vision is to remove our current owners and the pisstake appointments at board and operational level)

It's not just a bit of time, it's quite a bit. I get that it's more punishment than a yellow card for a position where the player almost never gets yellows anyway (so yeh they get a fine but the chances of them ever serving a suspension because of it are very slim). But it's quite a chunk of time used up to deal with the issue of wasting a few seconds of time, it's a self-defeating solution in a way, and the solution should avoid using up more time. As for an advantage, maybe for a lot of teams but have you seen our corners? 🤣

I still say like I did above, stop the clock, properly, every time the keeper collect it in his hands, and if he pisses about too long, still book him (for wasting the time of the fans, and stealing momentum from the game). If there ceases to be any advantage to doing it because the time is added on anyway, they'll stop doing it.

Then again I'm also a big believer in the clock stopping every time the ball goes out of play. Even if that means reducing from 90 minutes of standard time. They seemingly started doing it more like this at the start of the season, but very inconsistently from official to official, and then they just gave up on it. The clock should be for when football is being played.

Messed up the tv channels programming/scheduling/advertising so had to be stopped sharpish.

    Allegedly 😁

  9. Frankly it is bollocks. Apart from encouraging the opposition to pester the ref - will VAR get involved?

Keeper goes long efter 8.5 seconds - striker takes it down and scores. 8 minuters later VAR cancels the goal and the opposition have a corner?

What the fuck is going on?? Ref blows for timewasting and sends off keeper - giving a corner. Goal direct from corner - review of incident to check it really was 8 seconds or more or is a new phase of play…

Next step will be a free one on one for a cynical tackle stopping a breakaway…

Not what i signed up for and ever expandning nonndomestic competitions is just pathetic whilst principles and fair play and equality take a back seat when oil money comes calling

Exactly. The Karanka link is truly odd with examples of him falling out with the board and players at his previous clubs you would think they would want to avoid a character like him

We have had JDT and Eustace both unhappy over the way the recruitment side of things have run yet the club are considering a guy who walked out on one of his clubs due to unhappiness over them signing a player he didn't want

He falls out with players aswell and isn't approachable according to Stewart Downing

    Promotion in history - check.

    Desperate - check.

    Cheap - probably.

Coyle and Mowbray similarities are striking…
