Another diabolically standard Tuesday night Championship away performance from Blackburn Rovers.
What minute for the typical 2nd half home team winner? I'm going 76th. 😴
87th

Wondering why I’m watching Norwich - then I remember 😱🤣

Their lad just had a free header from about 8 yards out on a corner.
I thought we’re meant to be ‘going back to basics’, ‘more solid at the back’ etc etc. We’re just regressing more and more every time I watch us.
Behind him were 2 more unmarked at back post 🫣

Hedges injured or just rested?

Is Harry Leonard still alive? Just says that he is “on the sidelines” but no info about injury or prognosis for a return…?

That our players can focus för 2 hours is a revelation - I thought 45 minutes was the max 😈

Weird interview. He claims Eustace as a breath of fresh air whilst saying how all good over 2 plus years until December 2023.
Apart from sloppy he doesn't admit that he personally made a FU for the PNE equaliser, but I wouldn't expect him too.
He's just another senior wheeled out to feed BS from the "group" to the masses.
Usually I ignore this shit but I'm tired of these cretins dissing a departed manager just because a twat called Waggott tells them to.
And today’s installment is Pears bigging up Ben Benson…
Only SS left now but I have a sneaky suspicion that they are not finding him so eager to chat…

He has to be allowed to bring his own players in if GB is still here he needs to be working on behalf of the head coach not the other way around.
It should be but i think we've seen he isn't up to that task he needs to be told who to go and get and not just box tick for the squad as he sees fit.
It would be interesting to know how many players GB has been told “no” by the board/sw/lunatics/fat barry/madam and the shadow and just what his instructions are since the events in summer…
Only then can we judge him fairly
Do wonder if Eustace wishes Ennis was still around (at least for this season)

Is this your way of saying that Sammie wanted to be anywhere else but at that meeting?! His body language certainly looks like it.
I mean, we’ll let him off given he’s our only decent player now.
Goes up in my estimation - not least because it sounds like he was the only one with a bit of shame in his body but also willing to admit it wasn’t all JDT (“we were shit against huddersfield!”)

We need him to be playing. We’re toothless at the moment if he’s injured again. For a big guy who’s not overly physical he seems to be really injury prone. Great pass for Sammi’s goal yesterday and a nice finish for his own goal.
Only the last couple of seasons and seem to think he missed a few due to family reasons (baby?) Source for stats is wiki so maybe not 100%

Oh is that why he's only done two sessions etc? I assumed when coaches take on roles they immediately move to a hotel near the club
I’m assuming (and hoping) the the Birmingham reference was more to do with the players traveling for the game at Birmingham and then needing to rest because of our coach (😉 )
Can also imagine that there have a few fair meetings for JE with staff and players to listen and get them onboard with the new “direction”
If traveling from Birmingham to Blackburn is too much of a commute given the importance of our situation then JE is in the wrong job.
Ffs - just avoid the worst traffic and it is 2hrs max. Not like training sessions are 14 hours long so time isn’t the issue…

I take it back - keep fluffing John 🤣

Not a good start - the fugly kit in play again 😡

Is Leonard actually injured or still “ill”?
Is he 1 appearance away from triggering a significant pay rise by any chance? (Tin foil hat firmly on 🫣)

If he can manage that with this lot I will be impressed. Arbitro describes some as jelly fish! I think he's watched enough football to know a jellyfish when he sees one.
I’m thinking more “get out there chaps - just do your best and don’t worry about the meanies in the crowd. You are all special”
Nope - not Eustace but the rallying cry from “big” Dom, our captain and leader. Mcfadz wondering if he has been transplanted into an alternate reality and SS texting his agent in the corner…

I don’t think Gregg is going based on what the staff in the lounges were saying against Stoke.
I’m guessing that he has however been told to fall in line and be a good boy and not get anymore ideas about actually being a real DOF?

Eustsce: ‘Sam Gallagher is a gentleman’… yeah that’s kind of an issue for a 6 foot 4 Championship centre forward.
Some of the shit that is being published and put out is frankly frightening given our situation. Is Eustace a football coach or a fluffer?

See that Hyam is becoming a regular feature in the website - guess the leader of the senior players council and SW reached an understanding that the new head coach would have a lower profile…
Also note Hyam repeating the “we are all in this together” bs - could be a very expensive drinking game over the next 2 months… 🤣

A few tidbits from Elliot on that podcast. I think he's already written some of this, but more may be coming in future articles:
- Who knows what story/side to believe, but he says he had an 'off-the-record' chat with GB. Elliot rubbishes the story of the initial McGuire deal being cancelled midflight, although reiterates Venky's did suddenly pull the funding for the deal. Says the initial deal was for ~£2.5m*. When Venky's pulled the plug, McGuire flew over anyway to negotiate with Sheff Wed. They couldn't come to an agreement, so his agent came back to GB about a loan-to-buy, with the buy cost increasing to ~£3.5m*.
*I'm probably misremembering the exact figures. Main point is his sources (probably Rovers-linked) are insisting quotes of up to $7.5m are way off.
- GB is staying, at least for the short-term, and was actively chatting with Eustace before/during/after the Stoke game. He'll be speaking to the media about the transfer window during/after the international break in March as he wants to give Eustace some breathing space first. Not sure if SW will speak.
- Elliot didn't seem 100% sure, but he's under the impression Eustuce is a SW pick. Interestingly, he also suggests GB wasn't the one who picked out JDT (so maybe SW made the first contact with JDT?), but GB had a role in bringing him in/finalising it.
Is this a 1984 correction of historical reports in order for GB to keep his job in exchange for Swag retaking the throne?
It gets worse for every day…

JE is reported as being a Waggot choice not GB choice.
A yes man for the club to take focus away from owners
JDT was a lose canon with the media that owners didn't like
Listen to the podcast
Reported in the podcast? Can’t listen to it but who is saying that JE is Waggots man? (I suspected but is it now known?)

I didn’t watch last nights game but the was the inference I got.
Regarding your second point, Sammi probably could. Not everybody like Dolan out wide but those two are probably our best bet at the moment.
Sammi was forced to come deeper and deeper. Ironically i think Gallagher coming back and Moran being dropped has strangled the supply line (of course losing A Wharton hasn’t helped either)
But a response on Saturday is needed

Crap - devoid of a plan a let alone plan b
School level defending (chase the ball) and only SS trying to get the team to stop dropping deeper before he himself was forced to come deep to get the ball
Total lack of cohesion and sloppy play all round - Eustace has to tear them a new one after that or else our players council will talk about togetherness in league 1 (unless their wages are reduced)
I can SS and Dolan leaving in the summer and then we are fcked
Felt sorry for Telavovic - could have been the start of a rovers career having done the hard bit of getting in the right places but that miss and the lack of support from his teammates (even Ruddy gave him a “you ok”) is probably the end

Just watched the interviews with hedges and pears
https://www.rovers.co.uk/videos/
Both of them mentioned that JE said
" we've got the tools in the squad "
Also mentioned that "we need to unite and bring togetherness in the squad"
I got a sense that JDT grumbling about the lack of quality and lack of signings was probably having a negative impact on the players, they aren't good enough and they probably didn't like to hear that but it's the truth.
So let's see what JE can do with "the tools in the squad" based on last night they don't have the right tools but "we stick together"
Are they sure he didn’t say “we’ve got a few tools in the squad”? 🤔😉

JDT - right lads this is exactly how we are going to play.
Eusless - right lads, how do you want to play ?
Britain - I know, lets play to our strengths?
Gally - yeah I'm like a horse boss.
Hedges - I'm suddenly feeling better.
Eusless - OK lets do that then lads. One family.
They shoot horses don’t they? 🤔😉

Mcfadz - good signing whoever made it.
Buckley, Dolan and Moran changed the pattern but nobody up top to replace Gallagher.
Doubt we will play anyone worse than Cardiff so not sure whether to be happy with a point or not
