By all means we should express surprise, it’s the automatic conclusion by many that the manager is clueless that winds up the more open-minded fans.
This - throw in expressions like "Tony's Tombola" and the lack of respect is irritating.
Difference between "not sure i agree with that line up" and a number of posts on here...

Based only on posts on this board it sounded like we could/should have scored 3 or 4 whilst we gifted WBA two clear chances first half.
Sounds almost like the team/tactics weren't so crazy.
It's a funny old game ?

Tin foil hat time: the police may have a ratio of police to crowd numbers in their rulebook. They might have been a few short hence a little adjustment of the figure (that is probably calculated weeks in advance)

Have we actually spent 7m or have we agreed to pay 7m if certain criteria are met? (Games, goals, time at club, England caps at different levels etc)
-
Would play leutwiler tbh - needs game time "just in case".
-
Can i choose more than 1? ??

Great result. Scary finish. 3 points away from home and 3 goals from open play - awesome.

If he's costing £7m he should be coming in to replace Graham, shouldn't he? At our level you don't spend £7m on potential or a backup option. If we have then it's lunacy.
Question is when does he replace Graham and in the meantime can he learn from him. Samuel crocked and Nuttall being what he is then i think it became very urgent...

Think he is being political tbh. A reasonable return to the championship all in all and going off in the media prior to the break would risk morale. Think he will be bollocking them when they return to training

Depressing 2nd half but people having a go at Raya need to back off a little. Could easily have been 2-0 down before our goal. Other than that - 3rd goal should probably have been saved but not sure if it was deflected.
-
Missed our chances after a lucky first. Bristol better team today but could have 3-0 to either team at HT

Usually "up to" means about half up front with the rest contingent on games, time and (in our case) promotion. Would Imagine there is a 20% sell on though.

There's no way we are spending 6m to develop a player. He will be a major player for us expected to perform very well out of the blocks.
For whatever reason Tony obviously reckons Brereton has got the quality to make a big immediate impact. If he didn't we would not be signing him for huge money. We don't have the resources for long term bets. He'll go straight in at the sharp end if/when he signs.
Young enough to accept being replaced by Graham after 60 minutes. Good enough to improve our first 11 if we accept that DG can't do 90 minutes given that Samuel and Nuttall are the options. Young enough to improve and adapt to different formations.
Sure - needs to make a quick impact to avoid any comparisons to Davies but that is unavoidable given the fee

Thought Dowie would have been a better choice than Hughes.
Was relieved that Sam left as the football bored me stiff.
Thought Murphy would be the new Cowans
Thought Jason Lowe wasn't that bad (pre injury if that mitigates it at all)
-
First i would prefer to keep him but what do if:
Player wants to go and we are outside playoff spots plus
Fee 10m cash + 6m addons (1.5/yr) + 10% sell on
-
Special mention for Raya. Still young and kicking is mixed but 2 great saves again

Well done Mr Mowbray and the players

Just reducing the risks with palmer being too fancy in our half imo
Fair enough - Conway more positive than i remember so i take it back.

Do i not like this substitution
Conway for Palmer

Is it possible to have the audio without commentators?

Be interesting to follow this one. Suspect he is Smallwoods replacement IF TM can get him interested whilst also covering CB if injuries pile up.
Could be a total waste of a shirt but could be an inspired signing. Casual fans know his name from the premier league, with TM and a psychologist he could improve our first 11 or at worst our bench.
Fingers crossed

Without strengthening we're a bottom end Championship team. It's possible we could avoid relegation due to there being teams worse than us, but is that a position we're happy for this club to be in? Venky's are already squandering last season's momentum and good will, as I knew they would, and if we don't start well Mowbray will get sucked into that negative spiral too.
For me i would be happy to be a championship club come August 2019 provided there is a sensible plan for recruitment with the vision being playoff contenders in 2-3 years with a reconnected fanbase and a hungry team that are on sensible (for football) wages. Any sales should be planned in advance by raising the overall standard of the squad/u23
Personally prefer the above to paying desperate money to mercenaries and bring back the Murphy, Best, Etuhu and the wanker rightback whose name i have forgotten just now....
