I would want players who want to be at the Rovers. Kipre has already proven that he doesn't, so move on, in my opinion.

He’d have been a good signing regardless. I do admire how you always seem to look on the bright side though Rigger even though there’s nothing to be excited about currently.

Well this would probably mean Leeds won’t be coming in for Diaz, so who does that leave now? There were talks of West Ham but I’ve seen them linked with other options recently. Diaz may well end up staying, me personally i’d rather us be cashing in, you get the feeling it will get towards deadline day and we’ll end up taking 10 million from a foreign side or something.

  3. For me the only young lads that should be around the squad are Garrett Vale and Phillips. The rest all need loaning out, wouldn’t even be against those 3 being loaned out either.

Regular first team football will be more beneficial for those lads than being bit part players here, and yes I know we haven’t signed anyone yet which means we might need these lads in the squad but I absolutely expect us to have 2 in before the season starts and a total of 6 or 7 in before the window shuts, we simply have to do that.

Hmm, 200+ today when it’s been a handful in recent days?

Are we not running into problems now QPR match tickets are on sale? I.e if a person had just bought three tickets for that game today, they’ll be grey dots on the ST map, won’t they? As you obviously shouldn’t be able to buy a ST for seats that match ticket buyers have already bought.

So the figures are now being skewed, no?

Read back through the thread and you’ll know that’s already been acknowledged. Gooz’s commendable work has come to an end.

EDIT: For some reason this said “3 hours ago” to me… I thought I’d seen this post before! 😂 ignore me.

Stop banging on about the pages. It is not a unit of time. Yes the wait for a signing is annoying and baffling but comparing how long it is taking to the amount of pages on a thread on a forum on the internet which is entirely at the mercy of how much people can waffle on about the subject is NOT a reason to be irate.

You had a rough day at work mate? Jesus 😂

Van Hecke and Khadri weren't our players, so they would not be starters this season. Rothwell and Nyambe would have been in and out of the team dependant on how the manager wanted the team to play. I'll give you Lenihan.

Does it matter if they weren’t our players? The point he’s making is we’ve lost 5 players from our Starting Eleven last season and haven’t yet replaced even one of them. Which is a bit of a disgrace.

I dunno, Burnley scoring 20 million for an inexperienced CB seems more annoying than anything else. It's more than enough money to score a good replacement for this level and have left over to strengthen other areas.

They’re unlucky to only get 20 million for him to be fair, from what I’ve seen of him I can imagine wolves selling him to one of the big four for a lot more than that a few years from now.

And what if a player refuse to move until he is free agent

BBD’s stock is at a high right now, why would he want to risk staying and having a poor season and playing himself out of a move that may never come again? With the clubs apparently linked he’s going to want to move to a Leeds or a West Ham so the club should be doing all they can to get a move sorted for a decent fee and getting shut of him.

They never sell players or get full market value for them though.

Like letting Armstrong run his contract down to a year.Similar with Brererton. The 3 that have gone on a free this summer 250k outlay on Rothwell, they all could have been sold last summer for some profit.

Turning down the 15 million bid from West Brom for Dack the January Darren Moore was in charge of them.

Rhodes when he was here wanted out for a long time, bigger bids were turned down than what we got for him in the end.

Mowbray was here 5 year...2 players of any value sold in that time. There was bound to have been other interest in some of our players, Lenihen to Sheffield United being one.

They definitely don't look after their investments that's for sure.

Also selling Raya and Cairney for absolute peanuts.

Not desperate for any news but Just asked a very simple question what his story was?

are they rubbish? how do you know? maybe Rovers have asked the questions what the terms would be for any possible move so we have an interest in that.

I wouldn't want to see 2 left footed at centre back

Really? You don't think the players haven't looked into his playing and coaching career when he was appointed as our head coach?

If you want disagree that fine but I would have expect the players to do some basic background research into the new head coach background and listen to what he says given his vast experience in football

Sorry Chadster I was only joking mate, your commitment to find out any Rovers related news is unmatched and I salute you for it.

Chaddy castigating someone else for looking at life ‘simply’ 😁

JDT the footballer will mean bugger all to most of the players, largely because a lot of them are very young and won’t remember him, that’s life.

He’ll impress them with his coaching, man management, presence and ability to get results, the fact he played for AC Milan getting on for 20 years ago won’t come into it one bit.

I’m suffering from a serious hangover and this comment has finished me off 😂

If you read Hourihane's quote upon joining Derby, he mentions how he wanted to go somewhere where he was excited by the project.

I think him choosing Derby over Rovers says a heck of a lot.

Also, it's quite something to look at Derby's signings, considering the turmoil they have been in, and to think those would have been good additions for us. That's how I feel, personally:

Hourihane, Mendez-Laing, Barkhuizen, McGoldrick, James Chester.

Derby are getting their house in order now after everything they have been through. We have no excuse to be in the mess we are in.

I know we should have signed a few players by now which is a bit of a joke but I honestly wouldn’t have taken any of those players here at Rovers. Hourihane is a lazy bastard who’s past his best, Sheff Wednesday fans were glad to see the back of Mendez-Laing, Barkhuizen is an average player with a poor injury record, McGoldrick in his prime is a top player at this level but he’s past it and the same comment applies to James Chester.
