Someone posted this yesterday but Richie Laryea has been made available for a loan move from Forest. If Nyambe goes then we should be all over that, Forest fans don’t want him to go out on loan they rate him really highly, was unfortunate to be kept out the team by Djed Spence this season just gone. I think he’d be a great signing.

why do they need loans?
Maybe because Vale’s only first team experience is 1 goal in 10 at Halifax Town and a couple of games at Rochdale? And Garrett has zero first team experience. Send them out for 6 months and if they are flying then yeah, recall them back into the squad. Expecting them to be in the squad for a championship side with aspirations to do well is madness for me, way to soon for the lads. Phillips I’m a bit torn on because he’s so highly rated, but he’s also really really young. I’d rather him go out and get first team experience than be our 4th choice centre half. I’m expecting the club to get busy and I expect 7 or 8 new faces through the door before the window shuts 👍🏻👍🏻

Yeah especially since the five sub rule is coming back next season. No harm in having a few of the academy lads on the bench for a some game time.
Absolutely. But I’ve seen some fans on twitter expecting Phillips, Vale, Leonard, Garrett and Brown all to be starting games! That would be suicide, for the club and for the lads themselves. Get them out on loan and get them some game time, with the exception of Brown maybe who I expect to be our backup right back.

For what it’s worth Burnley tweeted someone tonight to say they’ve sold 13,500 compared to 13,000 last season
My stepfather is a Dingle fan, he actually gave up his season ticket a couple of years ago because according to him “the football was mind numbingly bad” he’s actually renewed for this season for the first time since then.

Saadi contract extended now 20 years old.
Heard good things a few years ago but nothing since. Is he's capable of breaking into the first team?
Not yet. We need some experienced bodies in, I’m all for giving a couple of the young boys a spot on the bench now and then but we’ve got to get the right balance of experience and youth. I’m hoping we sign a couple of experienced pros on frees and then loan some young talent in, or in the Bosnian lads case, buy him outright.
I guess it’s hard to say without knowing the exact budget we’ve got, but expecting 5 or 6 of the under 23s to come into the squad is way to much, the difference between under 23 and championship football is massive.

20 total for armstrong, wasn't it? but the 5 mill top up of the initial 15 is / was drip fed through clauses and such. unless there's a bidding war as the window progresses, i would imagine any deal for bbd would be structured much the same
Was it not 15 but with performance based add ons? And looking at how his first season went there I don’t think we’ll be seeing those 😂
-
Is it only me who thinks there’s no chance a team pays 20 million for BBD with a year left on his deal? We got 15 for Armstrong in the same contractual situation after he’d scored 28 goals, maybe Ben has a bigger profile with the whole Chile thing but for me I’d be surprised if we got more than 15 for him.

“Nottingham Forest will be due a slice of any potential sale, though not close to the 40 per cent of profit that Newcastle United took for Armstrong’s sale, a deal which could rise to £20m.”
I’ve just found that from a Lancashire telegraph article from February. -

I'd Hope not given the alledged £7 million we paid, be very poor on our part, as his fee as a rookie was very high for us to pay at the time
26 minutes ago, Gordon Ottershaw said:Am I correct in thinking that Forest are due a cut of any transfer fee?
I’m pretty sure I read 15-20% of any profit on the deal although I might be wrong, I think there is a sell on regardless which as Glen says is mental considering we paid a hefty fee for him.

Maybe actually look at my exactly comment Butty instead of implying something that I never said!!!
People keep assuming the spend money but I don't think they will spend that much and the money will go to paying the debt off.
No Surprised Pope is off. Think Roberts and Collins will go.
You literally said you think they’ll get relegated Chadster man?

Chaddy we all hate Burnley but ther are still in a better position than us
Needs to take his Rovers tinted specs off, I think although that lot will be losing their better players they will spend money recruiting some decent championship quality, I can’t believe he actually said they’ll get relegated. He’ll also say every signing they make is shit as well you can see it a mile off. We all hate Burnley but there’s no need to be so deluded about it 😂

Last season the average PNE home attendance was 11,564 including away followings.
It’s about par with recent history over the years.
All of a sudden, we’re led to believe that North End have miraculously sold 13k season tickets for next season because they’re skint and now are selling season tickets for pennies!
Burnley have been terracing Pendle Hill for 20 years because of demand and clamour for tickets. Fact is despite a capacity of just shy of 21k at Turf Moor and 7/8 years in The PL, the tickets sold out sign has NEVER gone up!
Please stop beating ourselves up at every juncture, for me there’s only kudos due to Accy Stanley amongst our local clubs (Bolton perhaps too), as shit as we may have been at times, please don’t compare us with the others because there is no comparison (IMO…disclaimer!)
Preston ran a brilliant campaign for their brilliant early bird prices and with a manager the fans are right behind they’ve managed to shift 12/13k. Led to believe? It’s the truth and if anyone deserves “kudos” it’s them. I think we would have surpassed 10k if we ran a similar priced early bird offer and the JDT appointment was made earlier but seen as JDT wasn’t pursued until GB came in then that was never going to be possible which is a shame but I guess that can’t be helped.
Our prices are way to expensive and the cringy #OneOfOurOwn videos are laughable but we all know that already. Hopefully this is Waggotts last year in the job and next summer we can take a different strategy and see how it goes. 👍🏻

Darragh out, Van Hecke in on a permanent!
As a starter for 10, that would do me!
I think he’ll be pushing for a first team spot at Brighton this season, they play with 3 centre halves. Slim chance of us getting him back I feel.
-
Regardless of the Dolan/Gallagher debate and regardless of whether Diaz stays or goes we need another out and out striker bringing in I think.

Dolan will come good, I think. I think he could be a 10-15-goal-a-season player. Just needs to work on his decision making and his awareness. The rest comes with exposure to first team football.
And his finishing which is pretty woeful. There’s a player in there though

Appleton confirmed at Blackpool. Nixon was adamant that it was Rosenior.
Was just going to come on and say that. Another clanger from @chaddyrovers boy Nixon. He was adamant about Kirchner getting the takeover of Derby completed and then it collapsed so that’s two clangers he’s dropped in a short space of time. Nicko is on a bad run!

The oddest one for me was Dan Butterworth getting another year! Hope he finds his level one day but he’s not even close to being good enough to play here I think that’s pretty clear.
