Phillips and Barnes
Exactly, we need 1 or 2 more centre halves bringing in.

"Oven-ready." 🤮
We need 4 players if we're to kick on - we've signed one. Apparently we have a highly thought of CM coming in on loan.
Bring me Styles and a CF and I'm happy. I'm delerious if you bring in a quality CB too.
The highly thought of CM is Tyler Morton from Liverpool, hopefully he’s more of an Elliott type than a Leighton Clarkson.

Seems like we are now just waiting on the prem season starting and loan players becoming available, same as last summer. 👎🏻

I just hope there Right winger is slow, if he has a bit of pace he’ll have HP on toast. No pun intended 😂

Fairly mental we got as many fans today for an open training session as we will probably get for the Hartlepool game in the Carabao cup. Good effort guys 👍🏻

Well I’ll do my predictions although I should probably wait until the Transfer window is over.
Autos: Norwich and Boro
Playoffs: Sheff U, Burnley, West Brom, Swansea
Relegation: Brum, Reading, Rotherham

How can you be so sure?1 year left on his deal.Webber and Dunk have 2 of the 3 spots at the back. They were in for Bassey who went to Ajax for £22 million so are in the market for a centre half and have Veltman and Duffy there aswell.
Another one of their young centre backs who had been around the block on loan was sold to Napoli for £4.2 million this summer as he asked to leave due to a lack of chances in the first team.
Van Hecke will want to be playing every week not a bit part role, his wages are apparently 4k per week.
It's a long shot but I wouldn't say no chance of it happening,he loved his time here and no prem club is buying him and starting him at this point
Did Bassey not play at left back? I’m sure he did?

So a couple of days ago I said quite adamantly that Van Hecke will not be coming back. Now you lot have got me believing. Damn you all if he doesn't rock up now 😕
Wouldn’t get your hopes up on Van Hecke coming back mate.

Good, let's hope it 's the Rovers keeping their cards close to their chest.
It could be a signing that launches a thousand season tickets !
Not sure even Messi would get us to 10k season tickets sold 😂

JPV would be a fantastic bit of business if it comes off. He loved it here and I think having a dutch assistant manager will help too.
Nothing to suggest we’re going back in for him or that Brighton are even willing to loan him out again or sell him.

More worryingly, he was our best full back that day.
Well they both struggled but yes I agree, Pickering got absolutely destroyed.

Carter needs to be playing more frequently than he did before we sent him on loan last season, or he's unlikely to develop (obviously he needs to impress enough in his games to keep his place though). Ayala's injury issues and 3 CBs would probably mean he had enough chances to shine. Sticking him at RB wouldn't be the worst against better attacking sides though when we need to be more cautious, you'd think he will be better defensively than Brittain and less likely to roam up and get caught out.
Carter should be playing at Centre Half or not at all, he played at right back against a good attacking side in Celtic and got the piss taken out of him, he looked a lot better at centre half. I think he’s good enough as cover for centre half and if we go with 3 at the back I think he’d be okay in there. We still need at least 1 centre half bringing in though of course.

I genuinely hope they go straight back down - that's a mental signing.

Only a one year deal so he’s only costing them about 10 million quid, which would be money well spent if they stay in the division.

I find with these young kids loaned from PL clubs that they are two extremes, either very good (Elliot) or very poor (Clarkson) so I'll reservations judgement until I've seen him play a few competitive League matches. My real worry though is that bringing them in stifles the progress of our own youngsters in this case Garrett and Wharton.
There’s interest in Garrett for a loan move according to Rich Sharpe. Think that would be good for him to get regular minutes, he looks like in time he could be a player
-
Tyler Morton? Well I hope he’s better than Leighton Clarkson. Feels a bit of an underwhelming move to me.

Brown had a decent game at Birmingham imo.
JRC could do with regular game time..
But you do want to keep adding to the wage budget by adding players time after time instead of using these players we got..
Comments from who? Barnsley fans? Are we now basing on signings on other team signings or actually proper scouting, research and watching the player over a period of games like our recruitment team do?
He is better than Nyambe imo
I expect another 2 at least in before the QPR game.
No I dont accept and Given when we appoint Gregg Broughton and Jon Dahl
I think he was on about Sammie Smozdics there not Brittain.

Oh yeah I wasn't disputing it, I'm just surprised Kompany would want Bellis over Van Hecke.
City connection plus Kompany had him at Anderlecht so obviously rates him.

Edun was awful at left back when he covered last season. Pickering has his faults but should be first choice. Performances v Hartlepool and Dundee in friendlies shouldnt make a difference.
Magloire is awful I agree. Both of the other 2 could do with loan spells in an ideal world with us bringing 2 in. Rankin Costello I have severe doubts over, but Brown at a decent age has only played 1 game ever at a reasonable level himself in which IMO he struggled, regular games in League 1 would be ideal. I would personally play Carter at right back assuming we only bring in Brittain and if he is ever unavailable.
Edun had a few bad games there but so did Pickering, Edun is better on the ball. Any winger with pace will have a field day against HP. In all honesty we definitely need a new left back full stop.

Kids? Again these are good young prospects who should be in the first team squad.
I never those specific players but someone Jake Garrett has take Johnson spot or Buckley taken over Rothwell spot. Hayden Carter taken over the Van Hecke spot.
We still need 5 or 6 signing and hopefully Callum Brittain is the first one of them. After that one, 1 centre back, 1 or 2 centre midfielder, 1 left attacking player then another striker if Ben Brereton Diaz goes. That's it for me
Change in the dug out being one. I been saying that James Brown, Jack Vale andJake Garrett should be in first team squad since May. Ash Phillips since June.
Or does it mean JRC or James Brown going out on loan? So Brittain and one of those 2 with other one loan out
I’d look at bringing another left back in as well, Pickering has been shocking for a while now. Saying that though, Edun has been very impressive in pre season, if we don’t bring another left back in I’d start Edun over Pickering every day of the week. Pickering has to be the slowest left back in the league.

Transfer Window - COMPLETE. Where’s Gregg?

Yeah I don’t argue with that, we will just definitely need more when Ayala inevitably misses games and I’m not fully comfortable with sticking one of the young boys in to replace someone that experienced.
