                        Kaminski

              Carter Hyam Wharton

    Brittain                                Pickering

                 Morton             Trav

    Hedges        Szmodics           Diaz

                         Gally

Give big Daniel a rest, I’d like to see Gally get a rare outing down the middle, don’t feel comfortable with Dolan in the false 9 away from home like he was at Cardiff, we’re a better side than Wigan but we can’t let them boss us physically as that’s the only way they’ll beat us. COYB

  2. Do I agree with JDT potentially leaving Dack out the squad tomorrow and him going to play for the 21s? Not particularly no and I don’t think Dack is going to like it one bit, part of me does respect JDT for doing it though.

If we don’t get 3 points tomorrow it will be an easy stick to beat him with and I respect him for having the balls to take a risk like that, doesn’t seem like these lads are getting an easy ride anymore like they have for the last few years, if you’re not in the squad you’re playing for the U23s and if you don’t like it then cya 👍🏻

Rovers give time and patience to managers/head coaches.

wrong there, is a post asking for him to go. https://www.brfcs.com/forums/topic/36353-v-cardiff-city-a-04102022/?do=findComment&comment=2380279

worry and concern about our head coach who has us 7th in the league tonight? I thought we would be mid table at best, at this stage of the season, given the new footballing structure and the number of changes to the backroom staff and playing staff

Based on my opinion and how I think the rest of the season will go for

I think he always wanted since he first came in. I think he wants 3 or 4 weeks on constantly working on it. The World cup break gives us this

The January transfer window will help as well, we’re fine at centre back and right back and obviously goal keeper, Hedges and Diaz on the wings is also fine. The rest of the team could easily be improved, another centre mid, left back and striker would do the trick for me 👍🏻

Just posted my team Chaddy. We have 8 of the same players but a different formation. Travis, Szmodics and Hedges lose out to Adam Wharton, Dack and Gallagher in my team.

for me Dack is many times the player Szmodics is, and Gallagher offers more, all things considered than Hedges.

Regarding Travis, I thought he was dreadful last night, slow in possession and something of a liability. Vastly overrated in my opinion.

I must say I’ve never really had those thoughts about Travis myself, but last night he had an absolute shocker. Probably our worst player on the pitch. Hopefully it was just a one off, when he’s on it I still think he’s our best central midfielder. Not that there’s much competition in there, Buckley has gone off the boil and Morton is alright.

  5. From what I saw it seemed to briefly show Dack speak to Trav before the pen, from what I saw it seemed like a “I don’t want it”. Shame if so, Dacky must be so low on confidence, if the goal stood it would have done him the world of good.

All that being said Jesus we didn’t deserve anything from that game, a better side would have put us to the sword comfortably and by 4 or 5. We just invited them on to us all night, Ayala is a class defender but playing out from the back is just not his game at all. The top end of the pitch, what is there to say? Lifeless all night on the few occasions we were up the top end of the pitch. Awful awful performance, fingers crossed we can beat Rotherham on Saturday because it’s Wigan away after that and we NEVER get a result there.

Dyche is 20/1 so odds aren't falling quickly. If you read the latest from local journalists/paper Dyche isn't in the running at all. Maybe you read this first before wasting your money

It looks like 3 horse race between Edwards, O"Neill and Corberan. I reckon Rob Edwards will get it cos Boro want a head coach not a manager like Dyche.

Dyche isn't getting a PL job. I reckon WBA job could be his when Bruce goes. Maybe after PNE game.

Looks like Rotherham will appoint Matt Taylor from Exeter as Warne's replacement and Carvalhal is the odds on Favourite for Hull job

I think if Cooper leaves Forest Dyche could end up taking over there, he lives in the area and started his football career off at Forest under Cloughy. He could go in there and keep them up I think.

Finally listened to the GB interviews and really enjoyed them.

Taking at face value that they basically 'started afresh' from his appointment, then we've had a very reasonable transfer window.

He said something about it being two parts of his remit out of 6, and now the other 4 need attention until the next window. Wonder what they are?

He named them when he first took over, I’ll try and find it.
“The first-team, athletic performance, medical, recruitment, analysis, and the Academy and my job is to sit at the centre of that and to ensure that it’s working smoothly at the same point.“

  8. Without reading the rest of this thread I’ll throw a few players out there and if just one person reads it and has genuinely forgot this player ever played for us or even existed then I’ll have done my job. 😂

Herold Goulon, Vince Grella, Maceo Rigters, Franny Jeffers, Radosav Petrovic, Fabio Nunes, Bruno Ribiero, Javier De Pedro, Jemal Johnson, Hakan Unsal

They are just off the top of my head. 👍🏻

I don't see BBD has a main striker like I have said mainly times, I would sign a left side attacking player when he goes next summer. I have also said quite clear for over 3 weeks that I think BBD will sign a pre contract with Spanish club and move there next summer.

whilst I see Gallagher, Hirst and Vale has strikers and not wide attackers

Think when BBD goes we’ll definitely need to bring in another left sided attacker and another out and out striker, depending on how Hirst gets on 🙂

Totally agree with this. Sounding like a broken record but it's imperative we switch to three at the back and three in the middle. If we do that I think we will at least be competitive. If we stick with the 4231 Watford will just breeze through us.

Huge boost if Scott Wharton is available. Not having Brittain is a huge issue, having Buckley there is the least worst of the bad options. Team for me :

                                  Kaminski

                    Carter.    Hyam.    S Wharton

Buckley.   Morton.   Travis.  A Wharton.  Pickering

                            Hirst.        Brereton

Jesus that’s worrying, those wing backs are going to get destroyed.

I think we will cause them plenty of problems. Watford are paying 4-3-3 so I would set up 4-2-3-1 formation and here my team

                  Kaminski

    Carter Hyam Wharton Pickering

               Travis Morton

     Hedges Szmodics BBD

                    Hirst

I will go for 2-1 Rovers win with Hirst and BBD scoring

Massive error not getting a backup right back to Brittain, Sarr and Pedro will have a field day against Carter at Right Back, I like Carter but he’s a centre back not a right back. I’d take a draw 😃

I can't believe Dolan was left on the bench against Bristol city, he made all the difference when he finally came off the bench and scored Rovers opener. Lets hope he starts against Wigan. My prediction 0-4 to Rovers, there stung into action after another below par home performance.

The thing with Dolan is that he seems to play his best football when coming off the bench. There have always been question marks about his final product but his performance on Saturday was really promising, he probably does deserve to start against Wigan based on that but I wouldn’t be annoyed if he started the game on the bench.

Pickering did his job and kept Bowler quiet with the help at Adam Wharton sometimes to double up on him

    29 minutes ago, JacknOry said:

Sometimes? Every time Bowler had the ball he had Wharton, Pickering, and sometimes BDD on him straight away. We doubled/tripled up on him - that was the plan. Solely putting it on Pickering is way off.

Whenever Bowler was 1v1 against Pickering he usually ended up being able to get a cross in, it was a good job we doubled and tripled up on him. I don’t want to be to harsh on Pickering because he’s just not good enough and that’s not his fault, Wednesday was one of his better games for us though.

Souness and Simon Jordan were saying much the same when discussing the departure of Alex Neil last week.

They were saying Sunderland were probably wanting to develop younger players whereas Neil probably wanted backing to have a tilt at promotion.

I’m dreading that trip to the Stadium Of Light on Boxing Day, the Smug Ghost of Christmas Past ruining the festive period for us all.
