Question mark over Szmodics, he was terrible tonight. He did put the effort in but he couldn't pass, close down, attack and kept losing the ball.

Harsh, I thought he played well, only gave the ball away a couple of times which was a lot less than most and he did make some good passes and showed some good touches on the ball, him along with Morton Ayala and Hyam were our best performers tonight.

  2. Vale and Hirst are nowhere near good enough for this level, give your head a good wobble if you think either are. We need to pray Diaz and Gally stay fit this season or any hopes of doing something a bit special will be out the window.

If we can send Hirst back in January and bring someone else in on loan that would be class. Tonight was just Cardiff all over again, we didn’t deserve anything from the game. Szmodics was playing far too deep, he was getting in behind Hull for fun on Saturday. He was one of our better performers tonight though, Morton tried his best and Ayala and Hyam were solid as always.

JDT waited to long to make the changes and I’m not going to slag Garrett for the red card, Travis did the same that night at Pompey, youthful enthusiasm and he’ll learn from it.

The good thing this season is we’ve bounced back whenever we’ve got beat so let’s hope Saturday is the same, heads up lads. Write tonight off and go again.

No heavy metal music or Metallic music.

    3 simple suggestions.

    Beautiful day by U2

    Song 2 by Oasis

we will rock you by Queen.

I think Rovers will go with Final countdown which I do think anyone could complain about tbh

Don’t let LG see that!! He f**king hates Damon Albarn.

  4. It’s not an ideal situation, to put it mildly. I hope a decision is made sooner rather than later for the sake of both sets of fans who will be travelling to the game. In terms of the game itself I don’t actually think it would be bad for us if it was called off, in the midst of such a busy schedule an extra few days of rest could be massive, as long as it is announced in good time etc.

  5. Pointless argument for me personally when it comes to Vale and Hirst, from what I’ve seen of both they look miles off it and not ready for championship football yet, surprised Vale got a new deal and I also wouldn’t be surprised if Hirst went back to Leicester in January and we got someone else in (if that was possible)

Also people will be more inclined to go if there is a top notch atmosphere. You don't get that with 8000 season ticket holders.

Something needs to be done about that to, look at the noise Blackpool fans make at home and I’m not sure they get much more than us on, we need to get a proper singing section going, someone should organise it somehow… The atmosphere at Ewood is the worst in the league if we’re being honest, we’re always decent away from home though 👍🏻

Lol, we raised 70 million in sales and lost top players on frees (as well as some dross). We spent 23 million on  players - hell we spent more paying back the loans. Many on here - and beyond - were joyfully predicting financial ruin and back to back relegations. It hasn’t happened because whatever else they got wrong they appointed the right manager who could identify and attract the right talent.

No one is disputing the fact you raised a lot of funds but you still spent a fair amount, yes it looks like it’s been spent well but it’s still been spent! And I didn’t see many saying back to back relegations except Chaddy 😂

Kind of ignoring that 7 of those 16 were blocked rather than off target.

So we battered them 0-0 for the first half, felt like it was just defence against attack but didn’t create nearly enough clear chances. They didn’t have a shot, a corner or anything you’d call an attack. Second half they pressed us high for maybe 10 minutes and caused us a few problems but after that it was all us but, again, not enough clear chances. After the Penalty (thanks Grant Hanley) Kompany decided to go with 5 at the back and defend and in trying to protect the score line he invited them to attack and they nearly got the equaliser. That said we thoroughly deserved to win but we really need to create and score more.

I do hear that you guys don’t rate us and expect a comfortable victory. Fair enough. For me I honestly think any result is possible, from either side getting a thumping, to a dire nil nil or high scoring draw. We will see in a few weeks. For the next few days I’ll enjoy being actually top of the League rather than pretending we are ‘joint top’ when we are actually second 😉

Not one rational thinking Rovers fan will be expecting a comfortable victory against your lot, you’re the best side in the league but we will be bang up for it. I’d take a hard fought point if I was offered it now.

  9. Jesus how bad were Norwich? Burnley play some good stuff but rarely threatened tonight, they do have by far and away the best squad in this division, if I was a Burnley fan I’d be disappointed with anything other than a top two finish. As long as we’re unbeaten against them I don’t give a shit 🤣

But people the affect that Covid have had some people plus a number of other issues that will affect this.

Also, where the early bird prices this season that much of disgrace when it was the same price as the season before and 50 pounds more than 19/20 season?

people mention other clubs, but I know PNE have had a huge problem with fans buying under 18's season tickets whilst being adults. It took PNE a few home games to realise this was happening and those ST was cancelled, and fans told to the need to purchase the correct ticket for their age

Yes absolutely they were, they’ve been to expensive now for far to long and I just wish one season the club would try something else. Make the early bird prices a hell of a lot more attractive and run a big promo campaign for it, if the numbers aren’t good enough then the club can turn round and say “we tried”

still an improvement on the 2019/2020 and 2021/2022 seasons

Embarrassing Chaddy, we’ve sold literally 100 more than in 19/20 come on!! Even in our current state, not even being able to get past 10k is absolutely shocking and there’s no excuse for it. Us fans just want as many people in the ground as possible and time and time again the club do fuck all to change that. Our early bird prices this season were an absolute disgrace.

  12. He obviously wants to be playing every single game, for whatever reason the manager doesn’t feel he’s up to doing that. We’re 2nd in the league and as long as we keep getting results you can’t really question his lack of involvement.

It’s also hard to say how much of the player he was remains, he still gets into good positions in the box which you can’t really teach and he shows some classy touches on the ball at times, even at his peak though he was never the quickest and he does seem to have lost a yard of pace he couldn’t really afford to lose.

From what I’ve seen of him he does also seem that bit less sharper all round with his movement and when he’s running with the ball and as much as I’d have him in the squad for the fact he could come off the bench and nick a goal, if he’s not happy not playing every game then I think we should let him go, the Dack of 2/3 years ago would be a massive loss, the Dack now I don’t think we’d miss that much.

We’re on a great run and the longer this whole Dack debacle/debate continues it shines a bad light on what otherwise has been a good season so far, we don’t need anything to potentially undermine the manager and harm the dressing room atmosphere, just end it in jan and get him out on loan or sell him. I’ll always remember him fondly.

    Absolute nonsense.

Travis broke through under him and remained consistently in the side, contrary to expectations of reinstating Smallwood when he returned from a ban.

Buckley broke through and was persisted with, becoming a regular.

Nyambe only broke through properly under Mowbray, and consistently played throughout his tenure.

Wharton broke through under him and became a regular.

Throw in Lenihan and half of his team was through the academy. There are also other examples of players including Dolan, (signed as an under 23 player) Rankin Costello, Carter and Butterworth.

It took him ages before he played Nyambe regularly, he f**ked him about for a couple of seasons having him in and out of the team and even for a good period choosing to play Bennett infront of him at right back. I think Nyambe may have stayed if Mowbray left earlier (not that I’m overly bothered by that)

    Excellent performance.

Hyam solid as Rock and captain performance. Carter and Wharton played well. Clever by JDT to play Brittain and Hedges playing on the opposite side to match Sunderland wide player.

Garrett was very good and show why I rated him in the summer. Loves a tackle. Morton passing and skill is a pleasure to see. Szmodics work rate will good. Shame he didn't get a goal from BBD pass just ahead of him.

Brereton Diaz goal and performance was excellent. He is so key to our team and its shows Rovers were right not to sell him in the summer. Gallagher performance was good. Never stop running all game.

Plenty of 8's and few 9's tonight. Hyam my man of the match.

Top of the league now. So proud of Rovers tonight.

    JDT's Blue and White Army!!!🔵

    3 points ✔️

    Great performance ✔️

Chaddy praising himself for rating a player ✔️

    Love it!! You bluessssssss

I don’t know what it is, but it can’t be a football thing IMO. He’s not had a chance on the pitch to show whether he can or can’t do what is required. When he’s played for the reserves he’s played well. When he’s played in the first team he’s always had an impact.

I think with the way his mrs likes any tweet that questions the manager not picking him etc suggests to me he’s sulking being out the side and instead of getting his head down he may have decided he wants to leave. Toys out the pram, if he doesn’t want to stay and fight for his place then fair enough, he’ll move on in jan and always be remembered fondly.

exactly, I said I think they might even get relegated. You said I said they'll get relegated which is 2 different comments

I stand by that comment that I think they might get relegated. The Key word being might.

Told you at the time it was a bad take Chaddy 😂😉

Anyone wonder why JDT was turned down for the vacant managers job at Hibs ?

    Hes not good enough

7 wins and 7 defeats with the squad we’ve got isn’t underachieving, albeit some of those defeats we’ve played beyond poorly which is concerning. Come the break for the WC I think the picture will look a bit clearer, too early to say he’s not good enough.

  18.

                        Kaminski

              Carter Hyam Wharton

    Brittain                                Pickering

                 Morton             Trav

    Hedges        Szmodics           Diaz

                         Gally

Give big Daniel a rest, I’d like to see Gally get a rare outing down the middle, don’t feel comfortable with Dolan in the false 9 away from home like he was at Cardiff, we’re a better side than Wigan but we can’t let them boss us physically as that’s the only way they’ll beat us. COYB

  19. Do I agree with JDT potentially leaving Dack out the squad tomorrow and him going to play for the 21s? Not particularly no and I don’t think Dack is going to like it one bit, part of me does respect JDT for doing it though.

If we don’t get 3 points tomorrow it will be an easy stick to beat him with and I respect him for having the balls to take a risk like that, doesn’t seem like these lads are getting an easy ride anymore like they have for the last few years, if you’re not in the squad you’re playing for the U23s and if you don’t like it then cya 👍🏻
