Easy to understand, football business aside. Following a club is a personal love and decision, when you’ve just watched someone who preached togetherness basically engineer their way out - you can’t blame fans for being very fucked off. (At the owners AND JE)

This guy is on another level though. Backs the club blindly regardless. Probably the worst Rovers fan on Twitter and there’s a good few who I could say instead, he still trumps them. Absolute clown 🤡

He was awful tonight. Ball watching and half hearted attempts to defend for both goals.

A squad player at best that should be nowhere near the starting XI for a club in the top 6 of the Championship.

How many of them should be anywhere near a top 6 championship side? Not many.

He has the ability to play excellent football for three more years..he would be the right character to take us to the next level but no ambition as usual...prepare for a relegation fight👏

Seems Szmodics haven't been convinced by Eustace to stay... Think he liked Jdt

Come on Neo, you’re being silly now. He’s got the opportunity to play in the Premier League and has more than likely trebled his wages at least, he obviously wanted the move and now we’ve got what we wanted he’s on his way.

Dont be angry it’s over, smile because it happened 😂

Terrible business Rovers...sell your best player for nothing in today's football

Ipswich clearly doing us and getting a bargain..

We all love him but he’s 29 years old and had one unbelievable season at championship level. I think 15 million would have been the absolute maximum we could have hoped for. I wish him well and hope he has a great season in the prem. What a man.

Looking forward to the start of the season in 5 days time.

I see Luton, Leeds United and Sheffield United as the 3 teams to beat. I don't know how Parker is getting at Burnley in pre season or what changes he has done so far. maybe @longsiders1882could tell what changes Parker has done to the tactics or what staff he has brought in?

Think Boro and Sheffield Wednesday have made some smart signings.

WBA might struggle this season with this EFL restrictions in place.

Think Portsmouth will be the best of the promoted teams and with Bishop up front, they will score goals.

Surprised that Hull haven't spend some of that money they have brought in.

I suspect it will be wide open this season.

I was talking to few PNE fans at work and they aren't happy that Lowe is still in charge. They wanted a change of management there. They have renewed their ST for this season but that's down to price.

Oh Chaddy, I remember when you said there’s a chance they could be in a relegation scrap under Kompany and then they pissed the league. They’ve got a squad that will be in the top 3 or 4 no matter who’s managing them.

I know it’s Burnley but it’s not a crime to be honest and realistic, they’ve certainly got a better side than Sheff United. I do agree with you on the whole it will more than likely be another wide open season, because I wouldn’t say there’s one stand out side.

Early predictions for promoted sides for me: Leeds, Dingles, Cov

    Relegated: Plymouth, Derby, Pompey

    Rovers: 18th 👍🏻

    What's happened on here?

Todd Cantwell asking to leave Rangers to join Blackburn????

Dolan worth £15k a week and become one of the top earners????

Rangers want rid of Cantwell regardless, but I highly doubt we’d be able to meet his wage demands so that’s probably a none starter.

I’d give Dolan a new deal, one of the highest earners though? Absolutely not. If he isn’t going to sign a new deal you’d rather get something for him this summer than lose him for free next summer, is my view.

I don't agree that the England team of the 00s were overrated. Quite a lot of time has passed now and we can look more dispassionately with a fair amount of hindsight, and there's no getting away from that side being comprised mostly of really excellent players. Gerrard, Scholes, A. Cole, Terry, Ferdinand, Lampard, Rooney, Owen at the start of the decade. Beckham. They all shone in Champions League teams (Owen aside), so they weren't just overhyped by playing in a substandard league.

They underperformed - no question - but even there I'm a bit of Sven apologist.

2002 - knocked out by a freak goal against the last great Brazil side and eventual winners.

2004 - knocked out on pens to the hosts and eventual finalists after having a perfectly good winning goal disallowed.

2006 - knocked out on pens after playing an hour with 10 men, and still looking the stronger side as I recall.

An unfortunate run of tournaments, which preceded a real downturn in the quality of the squad until arguably the last few years. It goes to show the importance of striking whilst the iron is hot, because you're not always going to have very strong sides. The difference between England and the more successful nations is that when Germany, France, Italy & Spain have produced a great squad of players, they have done a better job than us of making it count.

Big shout but for me we win Euro 2004 if Rooney doesn’t get injured. He was unplayable in that tournament.

6th worse. I still think with a first choice keeper, we will be competing for play-offs.

Seriously? Our squad on paper minus Szmodics who will inevitably be sold is one that will be battling relegation or sat in mid table mediocrity at best next season. Competing for playoffs is an absolutely ridiculous claim after the season we’ve just had.

Recruit 4/5 good quality players this summer and that opinion will change of course.

Yes, but pretty certain Big Sam put saw a big future for him and CDM was less pressure as he had the CBs as buffer behind him, and it would help his understanding of the game.

The Phil Jones we had coming through was more than capable of playing in that midfield role, I remember the way he used to pick the ball up and drive forward with it, he was such a top player at that time.
