Due to legal appeals, etc. it costs more for the US to execute a prisoner than it does to keep them in for life without parole. The appeals are much more exhaustive in a death penalty case. Also, there have been numerous instances of prisoners wanting to be executed. They said they would rather die than spend the rest of their lives in prison. Death row is not the best conditions. Basically, they are put in a small cell with little or no sunlight for 23 1/2 hours a day.

I like Dickov a lot, one of my favorite players on this year's squad. But. I'd rather see Gally/Bothroyd starting with Dickov coming off of the bench to provide that late spark. Either way, it will be interesting to see if Jay starts when he comes back. Oh, and it's always nice to get off the bottom, out of the relegation places and no longer the worst goal differential all in one weekend.

So was the rest of our team. The defense was solid, the midfield did a good job of denying Fulham big attacks and the wings, as well as the forwards, did a good job of going forward and keeping Fulham on their toes.

Great performance. Tugay was great, esp in the first half. Todd was all over Cole for most of the match. Made a couple of minor mistakes in the second half, but he'd still be my MOTM. Friedel was solid. Didn't seem tested too much except that one save on Cole (after the handball). After watching Cole and Dickov, I see why we weren't getting pens last season and are this. Oh, and is it me, or does Cole look like he's aged about 5 years in his face?

Tugay has been awesome in the first half. Best central midfielder on the pitch.
