The way we are playing the last couple months, I don't think we're in a relegation dogfight anymore. (I know, things can change quickly, and with our upcoming fixtures, they might, but I don't think they will.) As for the rest of the post, I agree totally.

I think Todd or Savage. Thommo isn't healthy enough to play often enough. At this point he isn't guaranteed to start. Brad would be great, but you want it to be an outfield player.

Just doubled my stadium capacity for $358k US. A little bit more than I need now, but I should finish top 2 next season, so the fan club will grow week by week. Lost this week, but it went up by 11 members (22 after the friendly).

I was second no matter what, so I PICed this week. Got some cash now, as I sold my keeper and sold out the match, so I will probably upgrade my stadium this week. Should have a good shot at promotion next season. We'll also see how my youth pull solid keeper sells, if he does. If not, then I can train him up to excellent.

I just made a HUGE profit on my keeper who I bought at solid and trained up to excellent. About to buy another solid for 125k if no one else comes in for him. (Sold mine for about 400k.)

Actually, he already had signed a pre-contract. They worked out the compensation so they wouldn't have to wait. Everton would have gladly held onto him to try to make Europe if they didn't get a satisfactory offer. Again, had the same situation been there with Savage, the fee would have been MUCH lower. Are we? I hadn't picked up on that, mind you I stopped reading the Savage thread a while back. You hadn't missed owt Paul. Most people who want Savage to sign don't care about the stuff behind, those who don't are criticising. To suggest most are against Savage is stretching the truth somewhat. Disagree. There are a bunch of us who do want Savage, but don't like the way he's been handling this whole situation.

Big group of us going over from the states, so far we have one guy who grew up there 30 years ago who might have a place to stay! Going to start an email list for any statesiders who want to go. We're actually planning when we have our kids around this, we are so looking forward to it.

I wouldn't say several big cockups is not a whole lot wrong. Had it been any of our other defenders (Matteo, for example) people would be praying they never played again. I do think Jay will come good, but I think he needs to be given more time to develop in the reserves...

I did well with the YP last season, but this season has been a joke. Fired all but one or 2 pulls, and they weren't good enough to sell, but decent enough to make my squad. Probably going to sell my first choice keeper next week. Got him up to excellent, and want to play my other one during the one match a week season, so might as well sell him to someone playing a qualifier. Probably might go out and buy a bunch of players during the beginning of the offseason, too. Time for upgrades at a few positions, methinks. I MUST win promotion next season.
