I thought he looked promising for us - kind of the way Bentley did his first half season. Didn't light the world on fire, but did enough to show he had potential. I still see that as one of the most disappointing things of the Hughes era: FSP was practically begging for us to buy him and was for sale, but Hughes didn't.

Got the new Metallica album (unfortunately, was on a trip and didn't have good CDs for the ride back, so I had to pay for it!). REALLY good. Can't find a track on the album I don't like. I'd say the last 3 tracks or so are utterly brilliant. Also got Springsteen live at Hammersmith. Possibly the greatest concert performance in Rock history. -

If you haven't seen it yet, I'd HIGHLY suggest seeing the documentary that was made about Metallica while they were recording St Anger. Absolutely fascinating. -
I don't know, can you?
-
That latter was already leaked on the Internet.

Hold you tongue! I loved View to a Kill!

Not nice to say that about Michael Moore, no matter how true. -

Good of a place to put this as any - was reading an article on the Wall Street Journal site about the perils of living in houses with floor to ceiling windows. Loved the following paragraph: -
Saw "Tell No One" a French film based off of an American novel. Well done and I thought it captured the tone of the novel very well.

Any chance we can merge the different City threads? -
MK Dons say we aren't after him, Ince says we aren't after him. You are taking Nicko's word over theirs. Nicko said we had already signed him and were just waiting for the right time to introduce him. If we were interested, it would have been easy to sign him by now - he was on the transfer list, after all.
-
Still wondering where, besides Nicko, the idea we are signing Andrews is coming from. His club has said he is staying, we have said we aren't buying him. Remind me who's managing Panathinaikos now? Heck, supposedly, according to Nicko and others, it was a done deal and we were going to slip the announcement out there. Awfully long time to wait when he should be training with us for the start of the season.

Thought Dark Knight was great, almost as good as Spiderman 2. Eckhardt was great in that movie. He's the one that should be up for an award.
-
Funny, that was the one that disappointed me most. Big fan of PTA, as well, but felt the conflict wasn't developed enough. Thought No Country was brilliant.

If you want to go off of a good debut album, a lot of artists would be "geniuses", Darius Rucker and Hootie and the Blowfish as an example. -
I was just thinking the other day that he would have been very helpful the last half of last season.
-
He loves to do that back heel kick. Saw him do it 3 times in one match this season. A bit of a whiner and diver, though.

Even if you are slightly monitored, that is too much. The government doesn't need to know who I am, what I'm doing or where I'm going. There are a lot of places where they have more information about me than they should have, but it is because I allowed them to - they didn't force me. Few people know, but in the US you don't even have to give an ID to fly. Sure, you will have to end up singing "Moon River" but it isn't compulsory. And the bigger question isn't "what does it take away?" it is "what does it help?" -
MLS owns the contract, so they don't play for the club, they play for MLS.

Totally agree, Bucky. It scares me more that people are willing to have their freedoms taken away. -
He announced he was leaving on a Bosman, but did it at least a year before his contract ran out. Hughes said he wanted to keep hold of him as long as he could.
-
That's bull. He told them well enough in advance that he wanted to move. They could have cashed in earlier, but chose not to. And Bentley did refuse to sign the last contract that was presented to him a couple of months ago. (Here you are accusing other people of not knowing facts!!)

Loved the last one despite not being a huge fan of the TV show, hoping this one can measure up. Really looking forward to The Dark Knight after seeing the trailer this weekend.
