  1. We will only have a chance of winning this if the defence sures itself up and Tugay & Kuqi are brought off asap. I wonder what odds i'd get for a second half hat-trick from Pongo. lol I'll settle for a draw now.
  2. Sinama can cause them problems and Emerton can be good when he feels up to it, maybe we might have a chance. Afterall there is over 45minutes left of the game. If they can score 2 then we can score 3. Thats the attitude i hope the lads take up second half.
  3. 1864roverite, i think i will join you in watching the rugby.
  4. Tugay away from home just isn't up to it, defenders rush him into making stupid errors. I am suprised about Todd though, he is better than the way he is playing today.
  5. I had a bad feeling about todays game. I beleived that the team would still be riding high from Wednesday night, causing an under-performance. Getting caught out by a long ball to Kevin Campbell is a bit unfortunate as we have denfended the long ball quite well this season. Oh & Le Chuck, when i said he should sort it out, there has been a lot of speculation going round that it is his clutch control in his Ferrari causing his hamstring problems, e.g. not being able to reach it without over stretching. Now if that is true, then it is his f'in problem, and he should sort it. And if it is that he needs surgery but is waiting till the end of the season, i would rather he went and had it now, leaving him ready for next season. 2-0 game over for us then. Kuqi isn't going to claw this one back for us. Tugay has got to come off, he is having a terrible game.
  6. No Bellamy again, that guy really needs to start earning his wage packet. I think the guy is an absolutely brilliant footballer, but he is collecting 30/40/50k a week to do f' all at the moment. I sympathise with him that his hamstrings are a problem but he needs to sort them out. Glad to see Pongo on the bench, could be a good subsitute with 15/20mins left, he could terrorise the WBA bench with his pace once Kuqi has worn them down with his size.
  7. Lonsdale out, it looks like a poor mans notloB kit at the moment. They have Reebok and we have Lonsdale. Regarding the attendence, it was defo the Manure fans who made it upto 25k on Wednesday, but i must say that if the casual fan cannot see that the club has turned the corner and still doesn't turn up to games then the there is nothing else the club can do to get them back. Those fans may be lost for many years to come, if not forever. I even make it to 15/16 matches a season and i'm a student living across the other side of the country, so fans who actually live in Blackburn & surrounding areas don't really have an excuse not to turn up. It is obvious that the lack of decent attendence figures are eating into the club's coffers and is going to eventually have a detrimental affect on the club. If we could get our attendences back up to what we used to get back in 2000/2001/2002 we might not be short of some money. You know what, i blame Souness for this, it was his crap football towards the end of his regin that made some fans say "f' this, i'll spend my money elsewhere" and a lot of these fans haven't come back yet. Hopefull after Wednesday night, it will have served as an encouragement for them to come back, knowing that they will be getting value for money.
  8. I feel so sorry for Derby County fans if they end up with him in charge. Derby will be going down if he joins. League One next season will have some fairly big stadiums in it, Pride Park, Galfarm, City Ground, the new Swansea stadium etc. Is it true that Souness has said thats enough for him in football and retired. Its what i have been hearing off people at the sixth form i go to.
  9. Very harsh but true article about Souness. Yes he did have some success with us and we are all grateful for that but his move to Newcastle has only proved even further that he has lost it. He signs crap players with the occassionally gem in as well e.g. Friedel for us, Owen for them. His lack of future planning has cost him dearly and it is obvious that him and Deano 'champagne' Saunders do not know how to hold a training session. Sparky pretty much said that when he joined Rovers. Very good article on Souness. I honestly wish the bloke the best, whatever he does in the future, as long as he stays away from Ewood Park.
  10. Blue/white your not the only one who thinks this is weird. Hey if any of you have a thing for shemales thats all well and good, but im bloody eating here and i don't want the thought of a shemale in my head while eating. ok.
  11. If there the club somehow decide to put the badge in the middle of the shirt, are we all as a site going to write and complain to the club? I'll buy the shirt even if it is in the middle but i, for one do beleive that the badge shouldn't be in the middle of the shirt. Lots of clubs have got their badges in the middle of their shirts but few have stuck to tradition like we have. In world football i can only really think of Barcelona as an example. They have had their badge in the middle of their shirt before and the fans held a protest over it. I hope the club stick to tradition and keep the badge where it is.
  12. Mode M, can you get hold of a picture of that kit you are on about. I have a vague idea but i am not sure, which one you are talking about?
  13. Well i hope you are all bloody right in saying that it is only a mock-up. The one MGP had on looked @#/?, i'd still buy it though as its putting money in the coffers but, still i hate the badge being in the middle ever since Brian Kidd had his reign over us, i don't fancy being relegated again.lol.
  14. You know what guys, i hope Fergie stays on and on and on and on and on. Sparky would probably be one of their main targets and i do not want to lose him to Manure, well not at least for a good 5years anyway. I have not felt this positive about Rovers in many, many years. After enduring years of constant raggings for supporting Rovers (mainly when i was in high school) i've held my head high and now Sparky is filling me and i beleive all of us Rovers fans with confidence for the future, he is the man to lead this club forwards. That was probably a bit off topic but i couldn't resist typing it,lol. Back to last night though, SAF is off his f'in rocker, does he really believe that just because its Manchester United, they cannot have a penalty given against them. Phil Dowd did an excellent job last night, he called things as he saw it. I just wish other referees would take a leaf out of Dowd's book and stop being intimidated by the bigger clubs. In my opinion, Ferguson is bang out of order and if Sparky or anyone at Rovers has said anything like that, they would be hauled in front of the F.A. without even giving it a second thought. SAF=W****r
  15. I have got to get a hold of the game on DVD just for my personal collection. Last night was one of those nights that we will all tell our kids and granchildren about when the time comes. That has to be one of the best games i've had the honour to watch Rovers play in. But i do stress one of the best.
  16. When i saw this thread, i thought Lawro had finally joined the Village People, how dissapointing, cause he is a w****r just like them. But it is nice to hear some positive things come out of the Beeb about us for once. How many years has it been since we have heard them not slag us off.
  17. I hope he gives the job to Shearer, he would make a good manager, but maybe it is a bit too early for him to do it. Saying that though didn't Sparky leave us as a player to become the Wales manager? Shearer would need a good back-room team full of experience though to make a go of it. One thing for sure, the fans would never turn their backs on him.
  18. Shame we aren't top of the league like in 94/95 Bobby G. I'm just happy that a biggish firm wants to sposnor us. I say that becuase these internet gambling sites are going from strength to strength at the moment. They will have low costs and high levels of income, so by sponsoring us they have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Plus the fact we have a fair few Norwegian fans might have swayed it.
  19. Well he has got what he deserves, a good old fashioned Freddy Shepard sacking. The guy has been unlucky with injuries but he just wastes money on crap players. I wonder what the odds of him becoming the new Sunderlad manager once big Mick is sacked. lol. I really didn't think today could get any better. 1.Celebrating a famous win over Manure 2.Hearing Sparkys ambitions of Europe 3.New shirt sponsor, a company not short of a few bob. and finally..... 4.Sourpuss getting Freddy's elbow One downer, Freddy best stay away from Sparky, that is the last thing we need is Mark leaving us for them. I couldn't see why he would as he is very loyal to his team and in my opinion would be takig a step back if he were to move. I cannot see why any other Prem manager would wanna take the job, the fans are more fickle than us lot and the chairman is chop chop happy. The only thing that is attractive to the job is Owen, Shearer, Given and a nice cheque book.
  20. If the green background is removed, the kit could look quite nice with the sponsor on it.
  21. Last night's game has put me in a great mood today. It is so great to hear Ferguson trying to make our win out to be no deserved. If i remember rightly we outplayed them for stretches of the game. Their two strikers cost more than our wholescored put toegther and he has the cheek to moan about our players. I'm sorry SAF but your boys just got served by a bunch of rubbish players with no skill, well as you say anyway.
  22. Thats a good point that Bobby G, MGP is loved in Norway, he is like what David Beckham is to England isn't he. With Bet 24 being a Nordic business i can see that being good business for them to sponsor the side featuring Norway's best player.
  23. Well they have to be a better sponsor than Lonsdale, lol. Hopefull this deal will draw in extra income as these online gambling places are not short of a few bob.
  24. I'm so glad my predictions are so wrong these days, i predicted a 4-0 win to Manure. Good prediction, lol.
  25. Surely Newcastle cannot put up with Sourpuss for much longer, they are actualy in a relegation dog fight in my opinion, i know there is about 7 points between them and the third bottom team, but the way they are playing, i'd fancy AFC Wimbledon to beat them. I think his time at Newcastle has proven how bad a manager he is, he wasted a lot of cash at our place on crap signings e.g. Bazza, Grabbi, Sukur(wages only)Yorke etc. I'm grateful for him taking us into the Prem and the League Cup win but he really does sign some crap players. He's wasted a lot of FS money, Luque, Emre, Babayaro and Boumsong to name a few. In my opinion none of them would get in the Rovers side after last nights game. Hey, i ain't complaining though, seeing Newcastle in the rot, is making me quite happy. Long may Sourpuss reign over Barcode land, if it means them doing @#/?.
