  1. hope we can win this game, it going to be difficult, but after seeing that American Berg get beheaded slightly less bothered about football this weekend, still once the game starts I'll be up for it I'll go for a draw 1-1 Cole and Forsell
  2. but that does make sense, McBribe is proven in the premier league he got 6 in 9 games last season, Stead was a huge gamble, a huge risk, maybe Souness would have still signed him in the summer, but had to think about short term future first. McBribe may have not got 6 goals but I have seen him score two brilliant goals for Fulham
  3. Manchester Blue, has anyone every told you that you'd make a great Air hostess
  4. according to teletext he has been released with immediate effect
  5. think he's been released which means no money for us
  6. yeah he's has scored a few class goals at Fulhum still but been on the bench mostly
  7. any new team coming up will want him plus other like Bolton or Pompy. He's a little unlucky, last three games four different centre backs and three clean sheets, if he was in the team he could have done the same.
  8. what a coincidence, i saw a picture of Jade Goody crying in the paper and turned to my girlfriend and said "thankgod that isn't you"
  9. don't think he really a classic racist, it was just a heat of the moment thing, he did sign a lot of black players so i'm fairly sure he does not hate them, i who likes Desailly anyway, hopefully Ron can recover from this I thought he was alright
  10. yeah thats true, at least he has an opinion on resolving problems, unlike Jim and others Still think next seasons going to be a big season for Souness, before this season I thought he was great, so my opinion has been slightly dented this season, so next season he has to prove himself again, not sure if Blake is a good start
  11. fair play to that, but a little while ago every single thread was turning into a Rovers6 slagging thread which got on my tits, there would be three pages to every thread replying to a Rovers6 comment. Personally i think people that slagged off Souness in October were wrong to do so it was too early and LUCKY that that their prediction came true because i could have never guessed that Gresko, Neill, Tugay,Flitcorft, Cole, Jansen, Thompson, Ferguson, Freidel, Babbel, Thompson, Baggio, Reid, Amoruso (have i missed anyone) would all lose form or get injured. people slagging off Souness in recent months maybe more people respect their opinions now how does a manager deal with so many players being inconsistent, the answer!, he panicks makes mistakes, can't find his staring line up for every game, falls out with players, changes the team, yet we have still made no progress.
  12. yeah, i'm starting to get that feeling, i think likely Foxes in about two weeks could easily be the Forrest game again, i don't know the outcome, but seeing our lot go up against a forever battling City team is worrying. I'm still worried about the midfield, its so weak, we had 27% possession in the first half Sunday
  13. the problem i have now is I don't see how things are going to improve in future, we are in the same position now we were at the start of the season, who are the best back four? should Nissa, Amoruso, Gesko play, will Souness play Babbel again, who the F**k is the starting midfielders, Tugay, Douglas, Anndresingtonson, Flitcroft, Yorke, Ferguson, Reid, Emerton and who is the starting attackers Cole, yorke, Gally, stead, Jansen So next season we have no money and Souness still does not know his best team, can't motivate the players and has a bad relationship some players. I just don't see how we can correct these problems and Souness himself this week said he was clueless as what to do next. Maybe if Coleman is stupid enough (which he is) to buy Cole for 3 million and we get ride of some dead wood we can get replacements. Players like Forsell, Zenden, Campo, Mendieta, Berger cost nothing this season, its not impossible but Souness will have to achieve the greatest task of his life to turn it around. This time its his mess, he does not have Jansen, Duff, and Dunn together and he does not have 40 million again.
  14. well unless we can get Kenny then best stick with Souness untill the end of the season, but i am wondering whether players need a change, something has to change, do we transfer half the team, i mean we have spent 40 million on the team in three years and our best three players once Jansen, Dunn and Duff are not here to save us, or do we change the manager Maybe its better to burn out then to fade away, ofcourse then again Souness could completely turn it around next season(if we stay up), who knows, its a difficult one.
  15. 1. You can't spell Pelzer, get your bloody facts straight. 2. How on earth are those two comparable to Reid, who's an established international? Greer was a very modest gamble, who at the time was lauded as the brightest young thing to come out of Scotland for years, and Pelzer was a free transfer FFS! Your prediliction for bashing Souness at every possible turn is extremely wearisome. It's not even connected to the facts, it's rabid hatred of Rangers coming to the surface once more. You could put Fisons out of business. Hell's bells. thought Pelzer was around £400,000, sure he wasn't free but could be wrong
  16. Millwall fans thought he was quality, he had a couple of games where he has shown he has ability, i think he very good at passing and obviously has a real powerful shot although it never came off for him expect in a couple of long range free kicks. his downfall maybe that he rarely beats a player down the wings, maybe as he gets older he may become a good CM
  17. i wouldn't bother replying to Rover6, he always talks crap just to get attention i think, during the day Rover6 goes into Blackburn town centre and reads the bible out load, you know attention seeker
  18. john Williams i think it was
  19. Jim Davidson's not even funny, i could go on stage with my "101 great jokes" book and be more funny then him, Strachan there's a really funny man
  20. They're about to apply for planning permission to increase ground capacity at the Valley by another 10,000 which will take them to roughly the same as Liverpool, Everton Chelsea and Arsenal. Beyond Spurs and West Ham - suddenly football in London looks very different. Charlton are running an aggressive marketing campaign down the railway line to places like Rainham and Gillingham in Kent. Direct and regular trains to Premiership football, and 5 mins from the station to the ground. Massive - and rich - population in that corner of England. Attractive to families because there's no history of trouble unlike any other London club. Cheapest tickets in the Premier League (and cheaper than Millwall and QPR who evolve in far less fashionable circles). Charlton are on an absolute winner, within 10 years will be up there with Arsenal. And Chelsea if the Russian hangs in there. knew about the ground increase but didn't know they were marketing in Kent as a family club, thats actually quite clever approach. Hopefully next season when Curbishley goes to Spurs they will get relegated.
  21. Charlton can't be much bigger, a few extra thousand fans which is not difficult to beat Blackburn on, but it's a district that is surrounded by Crystal Palace, Millwall etc. and really you would find due to London being so accessible that allot of this surrounding area support Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs etc. more North London teams minutes away. What i'm trying to say is Charlton are not very *fashionable*, don't have much of a recent history, therefore maybe a slightly bigger fan base but not a bigger name then Blackburn. Other then people that live in that district, you will not see kids from Croydon wearing Charlton shirts if i lived in London i would support a big team like everyone else in London that does not directly live in a district.
  22. i doubt Jim would answer that, he'll be a coward and aviod it
