I think Souness has lost more respoect from me in three games then the whole of last season, last season I though he was unlucky with injuries and bad form of player who obviously had talent, but this season playing Matteo centre midfield then left wing and then centre midfield when he can't even pass the ball and only tackle by giving away free kick, Matteo has already cost us three goals through poor play, yet we have Flitcroft who now has no confidence after being demoted again and again, and other players who have been overlooked, it just really pisses me off.

playing Matteo in midfield is really starting to ###### me off, i really feel like screaming a Souness, he showing the intelligence of Roy Hodgson at the times, i'm liking Souness less and less as time goes on and just hope that he sorts things, Souness seems to be mentally scared by last season failure it effecting his tactics and decision making

yeah, i would hate to play them full strength, Vieira, Campell Reyes, Edu, Lungberg in the team from the start. at least our main vivals this season West Brom and Norwich have not got too far away at the moment which is good.

hope potentially we will never see MAtteo at left midfield again, the joy never seen him play but good reputation and left footed

Exactly what I said whilst watching MOTD at work receiving abuse from an Everton and NobEnd fan about Andy Cole. What was it, four clear chances (not counting the one that just hit him and he claimed )? it all about being there to get the chances, he clever in his running and movement, and his shots were on target, a very good final goal aswell. Maybe if Coleman was playing Ian Pearce a centreback on the left wing Andy Cole may have had less chances

I think one of the problems is Matteo is a victim of his own reputation, he is no way a midfielder, hopefully Souness will learn this lesson soon and stick him in defence hopefully

Souness messed around and the only thing he found out was that Gresko was the new Patrick Vieira - or so he thought until half-time of the West Brom game. All hail Souness the tactical numpty. Yes, the last minute pen was outrageous but never mind that. We were playing against a poor and confidence-drained Southampton side and what team does Souness pick?... A quality centre back on the left wing and an immobile veteran central midfielder (Flitty) on the right wing. Totally bizarre - but in keeping with Souey's absolute negativity. I bet he'll be happy that we're on target for his 'ambitious' 4th from bottom target. tactically I thought that it worked quite well actually, but playing Matteo in left midfield is shocking, LeChuck was right, hes a crap midfielder, so its not his fault because he should be playing centre back, Matteo playing on the wing (still can't believe it) meant that Nissa played and I thought he was poor today. but allot of positives from players, well done Dickov today, still can't believe MAtteo was left midfield, sure I'm going to wake up and it won't be true.

its amazing that Matteo was on the left, he did nothing all game, it just contributed to Southampton remaining in the game, personally I think Souness has the tools to do well and does not know how to use them, really ######

heres a prediction, after 5 games we will be in the bottom three, Nissa was pants and why was Souness playing Matteo on the left, we played two poor teams in West Brom and Southampton and got one point, not looking forward to the next month with Arsenal ManU and Newcastle

exactly, the one thing I expected in the first game was not to continue to go through the same sh1te as last season with players out of position and Souness still not settling on tactics, but basically it best to wait until a few game to judge, its a bit too early but sort it out Souness Really we needed another month pre-season for players to get fit like Thompson and De pedro

did he score though? dicov will chase defenders more than cole ever did. so what, Andy is still a different class to Dickov just look at their careers

yeah I'll agree with Bob, Emo can fight for his place, if he can come off the bench and give his all every match then he will gethis chance. But also I hope the signing of De Pedro would allow Emo to not be under pressure to provide all the chances for the wing, so maybe in the end he will sort his form out.

that's one of the reason I would still consider Yorke ahead of Dickov, similar age, but Dickov's not going to win anything in the air, and why do we need the "work horse" approach when we already have Stead that works very hard and offers better quality in all departments.

Actually you need to remember that Jordan is in fact 7 foot 6. Dickov, despite what many have been led to believe, is huge towering bloke as well. If you look at that picture again this is proven as you'll see Brad Friedel on the left hand side of the picture, just in shot, about to warm up with his blue football. well, thankgod for that I thought we had a midget on our hands for a second, or is it a dwarf, well which ever one doesn't have disproportional arms and legs.....what's a goblin again?

douglas is a right back, I have a feeling that Souness will now allow him to compete with Neill, whether he's good enough I don't know, Douglas filled in the left midfield position meeting the MINIMUM requirements to fill that position, its not the way forward and he does not have the ability we are looking for in a midfielder, but I would like to see him at right back, I doubt he would be brilliant but like to see it.
