Disappointing but we didnt deserve more than a point with the way they played. All credit to them. Two below average performances by us but we still took 2 points, not the worst return. Champs League is probably gone now, although Id like to think that we dont get complacent because there will always be a risk of Bolton catching us. What about Englands "best" side, the one that ran away with the title last season and is doing the same this season? They lost to Barcelona, were outplayed, couldnt muster a chance away from home, and only scored from a last gasp "pity" penalty? They also lost with their best side at Betis. Performances over a few matches dont make a great team, or a mediocre team. Its just form. I cant agree with you that Juve's style or performance reflects on Italian football, just as Chelsea's unimaginative defeat in Barcelona cant reflect totally on English football. The continental game is a whole another ball game.

Thought by the end of it we didnt deserve more than a point so we cant complain. Wigan defended so deep and didnt leave us any spaces. I thought bring Kuqi on was a great move but Tugay on the other hand didnt get any time on the ball. Nelsen was massive, Friedel made one brilliant save but Reid for me, in the second half was great. He ran the show I thought. Next game, Id bring in Todd, Emerton, and possibly Pongolle and definitely no Tugay in the away game.

Brilliant day for us. We couldnt have expected Arsenal to actually lose, so we have had 2 results go our way.

United have to be psyched up because if they beat Bolton, then they would be 7 points behind Chelsea and they will still have to play the leaders. If ever another team had a chance at getting at Chelsea, then it would be United being only a handful away from them at this point of the season. Hopefully Newcastle will give Spurs a beating too.

Even if his goalscoring had never been at the current rate, he brought so much more to the Newcastle side. The perfect foil for Shearer and check out the number of direct assists, and possibly indirect assists his play has caused. He has turned the assists into goals this season because he is the main man.

Bolton have a tough run in. We could get 12-15 points from our last 6 but we could also get 6 or 7 as well. The difference between no European football, Intertoto, UEFA Cup or CL football all hinges upon a matter of 5-6 points.

Bellers didnt look too happy coming off, and the facial expressions werent positive as he explained it to Hughes, but he was psyching up the boys on his way out and applauded the fans. Its more likely he was looking at Reid, but for me MGP's contribution to the team is invaluable. His direct contribution through goals and assists through his set-plays is irreplaceable. Duff all over again if we lose him. Take away MGP's contribution this season and we would never be where we are today. I do accept though that his general involvement during 90 minutes is not the best, but whose complaining when he pops up to score all the time?
