  1. Who is scoring Arma’s 28 goals? Dick and Dom were here last season and got about 15 between them. Not a chance in hell they’ll be getting circa 20 each.
  2. Yep, surprised every single one of our fans isn’t just as concerned. There’s no chance that Brereton/Gallagher get anywhere near his goals between them this season, and I don’t trust Mowbray whatsoever to bring in a goalscorer, even if he had unlimited funds (let alone our shoestring budget). Reality will really be biting after Millwall, IMO.
  3. The ‘where would we be without Venky’s FFS?!’ brigade are already peddling this line on social media. I continually despair at a huge chunk of our fan base.
  4. Losing at home with pretty much your first 11 (Ayala will never be fit anyway) to a team that were in league two last season should be a wake up call to everyone. Even to Venkys perhaps? Nah, thought not.
  5. Same sh*t different day pal, as it will be again week in week out this season.
  6. Yep, he just cannot help himself. He’ll plump for the 3-5-2 before long again, mark my words, despite it never every working whilst he’s been here. Completely taken the wind out of the weekend this.
  7. Poorest bench I can remember in my Rovers supporting lifetime. And there’s been some weak ones.
  8. It's been a fantastic blocking exercise though; I'll happily not read their drivel again, particularly when we're staring further down the barrel in several months time.
  9. Fans already lapping it up on social. "Thanks for your continued support." I've said it before and I'll say it again, many of our 'fans' deserve them.
  10. Seems to be excitement from a fair few Rovers fans on social media about who we’ll get included within the Arma deal. Do they know we’re losing the only bloke who knows how to score goals at the club, who just bagged close to 30 in this league?
  11. I think it’s evidenced with every bugger jumping ship at the first opportunity!
  12. Demoralising 1-0 loss. Start as we mean to go on.
  13. Probably more relevant in here. Easier to ask who is staying, other than the Coventrio: https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19486042.rovers-lose-academy-recruitment-chief-championship-rivals/
  14. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19486042.rovers-lose-academy-recruitment-chief-championship-rivals/ Will the last person out please turn off the lights (saving a couple more quid in the process).
  15. As others have said, putting his injuries to the side, Ayala and Lenihan don’t even make a good pairing - too similar, both like playing the same side and both don’t have an ounce of pace between them. As for the ‘injuries’, Jesus Christ he’s putting Grella in the shade. At least Boro fans used to get to watch him from August - Jan every season. Three years was reckless - sounds like it was almost suicidal for Mowbray, but Mr Bulletproof marches on.
  16. The latter, no doubt IMO. Feeding frenzy time with their noses in the trough before they finally move on.
  17. Advising my friends and family to lump on relegation at 8/1 seems to be like a ‘license to print money’ as our favourite resident gambler would say. I couldn’t bring myself to do it, but I won’t be having to buy myself a pint for a while after next season! That’ll be the only consolation from what I just know is going to be a horrendous season.
  18. When we can't even land an ex Boro lad, you've gotta worry.
  19. Probably rubbish, but: https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/sources-la-liga-quartet-including-sevilla-eyeing-blackburns-ben-brereton/
  20. I’ve seen more fight from a litter of kittens.
  21. I’d love to get an understanding of what morale is like in the camp right now. I can’t see huge personalities like Dack being happy with this chums Mulgrew and Rothwell being out of the door. ‘Club captain’ Benno gone too. We’ll see how the early games pan out, but my bet is they know we’re goosed this season.
  22. Sounds like our man. The Boro connection clearly sealed the deal.
  23. Jesus fecking Christ that 11. Yes a few are missing, but I have a feeling the gut feel consensus on here is gonna be right this season: Hello League One 22-23.
  24. I’ve said this before to you, but Alioski, at 29 and coming off the back of a decent season in the PL, is absolutely not a realistic target.
  25. Not in Pune, the boardroom or in the managers office it won’t. Plenty of possession; not a clue what to do with it. Where have we seen that before? And no doubt we’ll be seeing it another 40 odd times this season. Never felt this flat as a Rovers fan going into a new season.
