  1. Baradji โ€˜medium-termโ€™ injury according to VI. This one has dark agents written all over it.
  2. Just heard the interview with Gestede. I canโ€™t believe his response regarding Tronstad, basically said he wonโ€™t renew and doesnโ€™t want to stay in England (which incidentally flies in the face of that Norwegian interview he gave a while ago). Hardly aiding the situation of someone who is probably now our most important player asides from Cantwell.
  3. Interesting that he took a back seat for this one. He simply has to go. The one constant.
  4. I must admit I skipped a fair bit but Val is definitely on board the gravy train. As for the questions, jeez. I knew theyโ€™d be tame but f*ck me.
  5. Sounding a bit Jay Cartwright, but he was a tosser when he played for us, clearly a massive tosser now, and no doubt will always will be a bit of a tosser in the future.
  6. I forgot about Pickering. I predict Gestede will be lauding him as a flexible left back turned centre half in this forthcoming podcast.
  7. This whole charade simply has to hit the skids at some point. Fingers crossed it's sooner rather than later with their financial issues deepening. Bring it on I say.
  8. One thing is for sure, this thread is gonna be on fire come 5pm on Saturday 13th September.
  9. Sure itโ€™s part and parcel of being a footballer that your mates move on, you move on. But to this extent in one window? Heโ€™s a model pro but naturally heโ€™ll solely now have eyes on his next move. And Cantwell aside, thatโ€™s our most important player we are talking about. Weโ€™re beyond fucked.
  10. This is why I am surprised it seems all focus is now on Gestede. When he eventually gets pushed aside, two constants remain: Venkys AND Suhail.
  11. This is quite hard to keep up withโ€ฆ I thought Pasha was the single biggest problem? Rudy no doubt a tw*t who shouldnโ€™t be at our club but it was Suhail pulling all the strings, the one who needs removing asap?
  12. Funny how thereโ€™s no broken fax machine ala Maguire / Oโ€™Brien when weโ€™re the selling club. Gotta give Venkyโ€™s credit, theyโ€™ve been consistent with that.
  13. Many do deserve it, unfortunately. Outside of this sanctuary our fanbase seems to be filled with lemmings who just swallow the bullshit the club puts out. Itโ€™s sickening. It feels like youโ€™re repeatedly banging your head against a brick wall.
  14. Apparently heโ€™s decent at league one level. If we get that buy option locked in then itโ€™ll show shrewd planning in advance by Pasha and Rudy.
  15. Not from within the current playing staff, or from foreign rubbish overseas, he isn't.
  16. What could we do, end of his contract soon. Miller is better. Spend money in January. Get behind the lads.
  17. As someone else pointed out the other day, Gestede highlighted/lauded Miller as a "centre back" in one of his self-absorbed LinkedIn posts. So it's all adding up.
  18. Unless the clubs loaning out take a hefty hit on wage contribution then the likes of those guys won't be coming here. Expect untested PL kids or unknowns from abroad (at best).
  19. Lunacy, sheer lunacy. They're probably trying to see if there's any last minute bites for Tronstad too. Championship experience? Why do we want that when we can bring in some more untested kids from overseas for half the wages.
  20. I am far, far from Hyam's biggest fan but to sell him now would be utter madness and would be pretty much proof for me that our owners/"advisor" are keen to send us down this season.
  21. Yep. And that the ambition of this football club is zero.
  22. From Jackson: "Right, bit of an update on what we might expect today. Not expecting it to be overly busy but there's still the possibility of an incoming. That would most likely be a forward of some description. Outgoings, Harry Leonard deal is done as previous reported, will be confirmed at some stage today. Could see a couple of younger loans too. Nothing on the table for Aynsley Pears at the time of writing which means he could stay."- --------- An injury to Tronstad and we are a shoe in for relegation, IMO.
  23. Whoever he goes to he needs to ensure the pathway to the first 11 is there. At Liverpool heโ€™ll do well to knock out Mac Allister or Gravenberch. Really hope the injury isnโ€™t as bad as feared - such bad timing for the lad, he would have no doubt got his first competitive outing for England this time out.
