  1. Coleman coming in with his links to Steve Kean and others really would be yet another kick in the balls for us fans. Pasha and Rudy will be laughing their tits off.
  2. Pointing out the obvious but the chances of us landing on our feet again with a Eustace or JDT feel slim to none with just Pasha and Rudy at the wheel. Dream scenario is Johnson does enough to hold onto it, we stay up, then there are huge changes at the club in the summer - either Venky's or at the vert least, Pasha bugger off. Then I woke up.
  3. When you’re getting turned down by David Wagner, you know you’re in a fair bit of trouble. As for JDT, how many pints has Nixon had tonight?!
  4. Not bringing in an actual CF is absolutely criminal. But to be fair to Venky’s, criminality is one thing they are good at. What’s the plan if Gudjohnsen is injured again? Or needs a rest? Rudy and Suhail need flogging - let alone ever letting inside Ewood again.
  5. If someone wants this tosser summed up, just look at his profile banner on LinkedIn. At the heart of the image is our hugely experienced former captain who we were happy to see leave embracing our only reliable defender who this twat saw fit to sell on deadline day.
  6. When I saw the news that Ismael had left and the words "no further update from the club until an appointment is confirmed", I naively thought okay, no incoming players but at least it sounds like maybe they have a new manager lined up who would be announced prior to tomorrow's game. Cue no signings and a tweet later announcing Johnson being in "temporary charge". This fucking club.
  7. GONE - official: https://x.com/Rovers/status/2018308694488776842?s=20
  8. It did seem a bit odd that the Ismael was nowhere to be seen on the Afolayan footage, or in his interview. We can only hope his disastrous reign is over.
  9. Nothing official yet. Just Nixon reporting he's gonna be sacked. Edit: scrap that!
  10. Ben Jacobs is usually very credible and he doubled down on the Bilic link earlier: https://x.com/JacobsBen/status/2018263454210023813?s=20 Edit: it's not pasted the tweet in, but for those not on Twitter, basically said he's a contender should Ismael go.
  11. Don't bloody let us down, just for once, Nixon.
  12. Elliott Jackson on the LET live feed at 8:54am: "strap yourselves in." Cue Elliott Jackson at 7:00pm: "Told Rovers business is done for the day with the exits of Tyjon and Pickering."
  13. As must win as they come with the gap beginning to increase to safety and this being, on paper, our best chance of three points for the reminder of the season. The more I think about it the more I’m expecting another ‘unjust’ draw - a referring nightmare or similar - with it being just enough for Ismael to limp on for another match or two.
  14. No chance. All Brum fans told us he is actually half-decent in League One, so they'll need to make sure he's on board for next season.
  15. I think they are very naively assuming that we'll easily beat Sheffield Wednesday. Win that and the guff coming out of Ismael and the club will be unbearable. Fail to win that one and I think even they will have to admit defeat to save the tiniest bit of face.
  16. This was all so predictable (look back at my previous posts), all so avoidable. 150th year, only to be shamed like this.
  17. The equivalent to a third of a season and ONE win. In what planet would this be accepted at any other club in football?
  18. I’ve said it before but I really mean it now, he makes Coyle look like Guardiola. ONE win in fifteen games! Insanity that he’s still in the role let alone with zero scrutiny.
  19. From targeting a player who their club value at £5m to one who will likely cost around the £1m mark. Life under Venky's, Pasha and Rudy. As I say, I'm convinced they're just shrugging their shoulders at this stage with life in League One looming.
  20. In my time following the club (start of the 90s), I’d probably go with Andy Todd. Not only was he tough as nails but he had the combination of that and being slightly unhinged at times. Enough to frighten his own teammates let alone the opposition! Oh for an Andy Todd in the side today.
  21. We certainly seem to be building the squad for an assault on league one next season, don’t we.
  22. This is why I think they'll be fine. They clearly have big issues but they have a good handful of players who would get in 75%+ of the teams within this league. Gut tells me they'll start moving upwards soon.
  23. 4 points clear of us with a much better goal difference. They won’t be in the mix whatsoever as many of us thought. Relegation gets more likely by the day. But don’t fear, Val still isn’t worried.
  24. Venkys: "We don't want to (or can't) sell - so trim costs further, if it means we slip a league again, no hassle. Just get the wage bill down as low as possible and ensure further investment is at an absolute minimum." Pasha: "Understood"
