Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach
G Somerset Rover replied to DE.'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Some of our fans deserve the Venky’s, they really do. When we finally do ever get rid of them and things pick up, they’ll be the first to change their tunes. -

Looking at the table I would say finishing 15th or 16th is more than realistic. It’ll be quite some achievement by all connected to the club - the finest post Christmas nosedive out of them all. -
Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas

If Waggott goes then I bet Rudy gets the gig. ‘Fantastic job since you’ve come in, helping to derail our season with your shit signings. Told a couple fans to fuck off too? Have a promotion.’ -

No chance. ’unlucky with injuries’ ‘summer gives him chance to put his stamp on the team’ ‘positives to see despite the results’. -
WATR (The Rovers Trust)

Agreed. Two weeks before they can even try to get lucky with a freak result at Pompey. Don’t give them an inch. -
Suhail Shaikh / Pasha / The Shadow Man

Given our owners are both death and blind to events happening at Ewood, we need to target this see you next Tuesday. IMO it’s the best first step to take. -

That’s four games on the bounce where we are very unlucky according to VI. I’m being genuine when I say I cannot see us winning another game this season. -

Like Hyam, spouting nothing but hot air and bollocks pre-match. His nosedives post Christmas coincide very nicely with that of the wider team. -

He does my fucking head in. In a sea of shit he winds me up the most. Comes out with bollocks on his Instagram after his shambolic performance in midweek then backs it up with this. -

Six points adrift of the play offs as things stand. Some achievement given we were 5th a couple weeks ago. -

This has 1-1 or 2-1 Cardiff written all over it. -

It really doesn’t matter though. There isn’t a cat in hells chance we can make the top 6. -
Championship 24/25

Stoke back to losing ways today. 1 win in 6 for them…no prizes for guessing who the 1 was against. -

Hyam and Carter are both fairly decent individually but play like the chuckle brothers as a pairing. -

I reckon you’ll be waiting a while with that lad, if ever. -

Good to see that Tuchel isn’t clinically insane. He cited his recent injury and he’ll be training with the seniors too: https://londonnewsonline.co.uk/sport/it-was-very-close-thomas-tuchel-explains-why-crystal-palace-star-missed-out-on-senior-england-squad/ -

David Dunn was saying this post match after Stoke, how JRC could replace Weimann’s goals. No wonder the guy couldn’t ever keep a coaching job in football. Edit: Mark beat me to it above. -
The Aynsley Pears depreciation thread.
G Somerset Rover replied to Neal's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
David Raya and Aynsley Pears cannot be included within the same sentence ever again. -

Agreed. They’re 5th in SA qualifiers (not even guaranteed to make it yet). That’s why I mention the likes of Colombia and Uruguay. On American soil I would currently prefer to play Brazil than those two (and of course Argentina). -

Argentina cannot be discounted again; they have strength throughout their side. Colombia and Uruguay will be extremely competitive too. -

He’s no slouch; I personally don’t think that’s holding him back. He needs to add goals to his game for sure, but I’ve no doubt that will come over time. I’ll put decent money on that he’ll go for major bucks this summer, or next, and from that moment on he’ll be a permanent fixture in the side. Palace fans know a player and they’re convinced he’s going to be just as big as Olise who is currently ripping it up at Bayern. -

I like to think I have my finger on the pulse of the football world but I genuinely presumed Henderson had slipped into a silent retirement. Wharton aside how the hell is he getting back in the England squad? Walker too?! I felt optimism in a fresh approach with Tuchel but it’s like Southgate has picked the squad once again. -
It wouldn’t surprise me if Dennis was one of the final straws for Eustace. He was probably assured we’d get a forward with championship pedigree in - you can only imagine Waggott giving it the biggun down Brockhall about ‘his’ coup. ‘I’ve even been able to land you Woodrow too!’. However no doubt a true football man like Eustace would know ED would offer fuck all in the run in after barely kicking a ball for years.
