  1. Cleary would be mad to come here given the sh*t show we are on and off the pitch - even if we did agree a fee.
  2. The difference would seem to be they can beat the odd team in and around them. We just cannot seem to do that. Beating Sheff Weds at home would be a start.
  3. They still beat us! You said the same about Charlton and they’ve taken 4 points off us too (should have been six). There is a recurring theme.
  4. If we’re still winless after the next two - Hull and Sheff Weds at home - then surely even the likes of Parson and Chaddy need to be admitting that we’re doomed.
  5. 1 win in 14 is almost a third of a season. How in God’s name is this guy under zero pressure? I mean, we know the answer but it’s absolutely infuriating.
  6. Surprised it’s so quiet on this one. I said in the match thread that IMO things will be worse by Monday evening - I fear resignation seems to be setting in. We’ll be adrift before long - we simply cannot win a football match.
  7. Haven’t even properly caught up but if anyone is calling that ‘not a bad point’ then they’re an idiot. We simply have to be winning winnable games at home right now - it’s our only hope of getting out of this mess. I have a feeling things will be looking even worse by Monday evening.
  8. We need to win this. A point at home in our current predicament is just not enough.
  9. I did not see an immediate response coming given we typically can’t score in a brothel. Let’s hope this inspires something - I’m still far from confident though.
  10. 1-0 Watford We are going down without even a whimper.
  11. What will be the excuse this time with a fair number of players back, Val?
  12. The likes of Mowbray and Eustace in the main, liked signing men. Players who would give their all and work their nuts off for each other. We're now signing the likes of Kargbo (no way was he a JE choice - he'd fully checked out by then) and De Neve who can't even be arsed tracking back when they lose the ball.
  13. They’ll be the first to crow about how good life is post Venkys if they ever do clear off. Self awareness of David Brent.
  14. But when the assets run out - which they pretty much have apart from Toth and Alebiosu, they’re going to have to put their hands in their own pockets - albeit at a lower level. I can’t see them doing that for too long unless said costs drop dramatically.
  15. At least our nosedive has stopped the see you next Tuesday from gloating to his LinkedIn network about his marvellous new signings, and how shrewd an operator he is.
  16. Is Chaddy back on here on an alias account?
  17. Bottom three, two points from safety. We’re not getting back out.
  18. Six weeks ago it was "we'll climb the table when Tronstad and Cantwell are back" - we haven't. It's now: "I'm not worried as when we get thirteen players back we'll be fine." When that still isn't working, it'll be back to the refs fault again. Apart from Pasha, Gestede and Ismael we all know how this ends.
  19. Fantastically written, Ian. I wish you didn't have to write it as it's a sobering read, but I agree with every word.
  20. One big upgrade he could make is to swap out captain marvel, McLoughlin, for Pickering at LCB - Harry has never let us down in that position. He was also extremely liked by two managers who shouldn't ever be mentioned in the same sentence as Valerien Ismael. Clearly it's pounds, kids and favourites before common sense, so I don't expect anything to change.
  21. Glen says these are legit. Will grab the popcorn for the Gestede one - I hope it shows him to be the inept clown we all know he truly is.
  22. Even the likes of the ever supportive Henry Winter have gone very quiet on us over recent weeks - all despite our nosedive down the table coupled with the wider continuous shit show at the club. Feels like it’s going to take relegation to get any kind of decent media attention again and as we all know, that will be far too late as there’s no chance we bounce back this time whilst that lot are still around.
  23. Regarding his latest ‘but when the injured players come back we’ll shoot up the table’ comments - I’m sure my memory serves me correct that (roughly) six weeks ago he said once Cantwell and Tronstad return to fitness that we would be fine. Well, we’re not. He needs kicking out of the club with a kind sized rocket shoved right up his arse today. Of course it won’t happen but at any remotely normal club he’d have been gone months ago.
  24. Who gives a flying shit about the transfer window? They will never buy the one thing that would give us a fighting chance of staying up: experience.
  25. Of course. No contentious referee calls tonight so it’s just the injuries:
