I’m sure nobody is doubting Dolan’s professionalism or his work rate - as a fan you are allowed to question his ability. He was summed up for me the other night when he did the hard work and then ballooned one into row Z. He has a place for me, but not as a starter. Against tired legs he is a handful. Onto today - it’d be nice to get one over on this lot after last season when they did a right job on us at Ewood. 2-1 Rovers. COYB.

Dembele or Surridge (Batshuayi falling through) would be my guess.

The other sign of the best players is their ability to win the 50/50s. He went in a few times with blokes bigger than him on Wednesday and came away with the ball. Genuinely excited to see him develop further over the course of the season.

The time to have gone for Surridge was surely last season. Can’t see us competing against decent Chanpionship teams even if we did go for him now.

Dembele is going to be the new Luca Toni.

Pointless now though if we can’t bring in a replacement.

It will be disappointing if Dembele - or similar - now don’t come given the early day hype. I can’t remember us pulling off many - if any - very late deadline day deals recently, so would assume we’re done unless a name pops up in the next hour or so.

These clubs take the p*ss. They are awash with money and spending fortunes on very average players. Cough up or don’t even come to the table.
