As bad as we are when going behind, we’re pretty much as good when leading. JDT simply has to find a way to get us back into matches. The whole mentality at the club when falling behind is ‘onto the next match’. It’s pitiful.

With no central midfield options on the bench as we’re keen to ensure Wharton is ‘fit for international duty’. WTF

I’ll never believe we’ve turned a true corner as a club until we prove that we can get back into matches from being in a losing position. It genuinely feels like years and years since I’ve had that feeling as a Rover of ‘we can get back into this’. And there we have it 2-0. This second half has been nothing short of embarrassing.

Very impressive last night and eased any potential fears that I had at the back of my mind of us being in any kind of trouble this season. IF we could somehow keep that back three fit for the season then I genuinely think we’d have a sniff of the play-offs. They’re that good. We just need a bit of consistency now with both form and selection.

Szmodics can’t even make the squad. Happy to be proved wrong but I would have started both Dack and A Wharton.

He rarely seems to do it against other teams, yet plays against us, and he’s like prime Drogba.

And have been for four out of the last five too. You’d have to say it’s very concerning.

I’m sure nobody is doubting Dolan’s professionalism or his work rate - as a fan you are allowed to question his ability. He was summed up for me the other night when he did the hard work and then ballooned one into row Z. He has a place for me, but not as a starter. Against tired legs he is a handful. Onto today - it’d be nice to get one over on this lot after last season when they did a right job on us at Ewood. 2-1 Rovers. COYB.

Dembele or Surridge (Batshuayi falling through) would be my guess.

The other sign of the best players is their ability to win the 50/50s. He went in a few times with blokes bigger than him on Wednesday and came away with the ball. Genuinely excited to see him develop further over the course of the season.

The time to have gone for Surridge was surely last season. Can’t see us competing against decent Chanpionship teams even if we did go for him now.

Dembele is going to be the new Luca Toni.
