The longer this goes on with no announcement, the more I worry that Mowbray could be talking the owners into giving him a bumper new deal.

Yeah he blatantly had a fall out with Mowbray during Derby half time. Barely played a minute since (one match was it?) and as you say, literally been ripping Mowbray online since about it. As for Rothwell, he’ll be off to Bournemouth no doubt.

I thought it was quite telling that neither Johnson nor Rothwell mentioned the manager in either of their goodbye posts.
