  1. De Gea keeping United in it so far. This is embarrassing for them. It's like watching City play Burnley or Norwich.
  2. Seems highly unlikely considering he took the press conference yesterday. If Venus had appeared in his place it might give this 'rumour' more credence.
  3. For anybody who enjoys 80s rock (Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, etc), Nitrate's 'Renegade' album is pretty good: Another band I've been listening to a lot of recently are Beast in Black - still very much 80s influenced, particularly with the use of synths, but also heavy into cyberpunk and with a sound closer to the likes of Iron Maiden mixed with Judas Priest. Probably not to many tastes on here, but I've really been enjoying their latest album 'Dark Connection':
  4. Other than coming off as incredibly patronising, it's really just a poor excuse. In general there's only a gap of around 1-2 years average between most teams in the division. From memory Sheff Utd have one of the highest average squad ages in the division at around 27, and look how their season has been going so far. Meanwhile we have the second top scorer in the Championship here and he's 22. "we’re a team that don’t have Danny Graham or Charlie Mulgrew, we don’t have that experience, not because we got rid of them, but because their age ran away with them." I'm not even sure WTF he's on about here. We've replaced Mulgrew with Ayala, so how is that a gap? Both spend roughly the same amount of time in the treatment room as well, so it's practically a like-for-like. Graham meanwhile was replaced firstly by Armstrong and now by Brereton who are outperforming him as far as scoring is concerned. Let's also keep in mind the same squad with the likes of Graham, Bennett and Mulgrew got relegated and only ever managed a record-high Championship finish of 11th. Long story short, Mowbray is talking shit as usual.
  5. The cheek of this bloke who's been here for a cup of coffee compared to most fans telling us how to support our club. Of course he also had to go for a nostalgic trip down memory lane regaling his days going to watch Boro. I wonder how often you watched them get trounced 7-0 at home, Tony? Even back in those days when there were more high scoring games I bet it wasn't often.
  6. The arrogance in that press conference is honestly astounding. He literally says nobody could do a better job than him unless they had £100m+ to spend.
  7. "You watch, I spend 90 minutes trying to drive the team" 😂 Words fail me.
  8. Indeed, although honestly I'd even have a bit of an issue with that statement. The problem with Bennett and Dack saying "it's nothing to do with the result it's just about a former team mate's success, hurr durr" is that the post they were liking was explicitly about Fulham beating Rovers 7-0. Any idea of 'general success' is secondary to the main point of Reed's post, which was to highlight how they completely thrashed us. "Enjoyable one last night! Ruthless from start to finish" was the caption. Nothing there about "we're doing really well" or any kind of vague statement regarding Fulham being successful. The post is exclusively about Fulham wiping the floor with us. I'm not saying that some of the players weren't liking it for the reasons Bennett stated, but the fact remains that if you 'like' a post that is entirely focused on Rovers being humiliated at home then of course the assumption is going to be that by extension you also took some enjoyment from the result, even if that enjoyment is through a friend doing well. Nobody within the squad should have taken any pleasure from us being embarrassed like that, even if a mate was involved. In fact I'd even argue less so if a mate was involved, because it should increase your own embarrassment, being involved either directly or indirectly with the team! Again, I honestly don't care about any of the ex-players. Some have direct links to Fulham so I'm not going to be angry at them for being happy with the result. As for the rest, I have practically no affinity towards any of them, and for most of them Rovers was just a job they were (handsomely) paid for. Most of them probably do value their friendship with Reed high above any feelings they have towards Rovers. Whatever. For Dack and Butterworth though it really is a ridiculous error of judgement, retracted in retrospect or not. I suppose all we can hope is that Butterworth at least learns from it.
  9. Just shows the total lack of winning mentality. Do you reckon any of the Man Utd players 'liked' posts from Liverpool players celebrating their 5-0 win the other week? I'm sure there are mates across both squads but it's just not something anyone who had any sense of professional pride or even pride in the club they were representing would do. The fact these players double down on it even after being told that it's hurting the fans to see that shows that they have zero respect for the supporters. Absolutely none. Granted we're only talking Dack from the current squad, as Butterworth seemed to retract his 'like' and has wisely remained silent on the whole thing.
  10. Yeah, probably better just to say quiet (and obviously not 'like' posts from opposition players enjoying the result, friend or not). The manager is the one we needed to hear the apology from, and it never came.
  11. 2 points from 36 against the teams who finished top two in the division over the past three seasons tells its own story. I bet our record against the top six as a whole is pretty shocking as well. Can't be bothered to check though as I'm depressed enough as it is.
  12. Dack claimed he likes Reed's posts because he's a mate, but going back through Reed's last few posts on Insta I can't see him or Butterworth liking any of them? I don't really use Instagram so maybe I'm just being dense...
  13. Meanwhile Bradley Dack and Danny Butterworth 'like' Harrison Reed's Instagram post celebrating the result.
  14. The ex-players I don't really care about. Not exactly a list of Rovers legends there. Hard to fathom current players 'liking' that post though. Dack told a Rovers fan in the comments to "relaxxx" because Reed is a mate and he likes most of his photos. "Nothing to do with the result last night you wally". Not even sure where to begin with that really. What a fucking plank that lad is. Butterworth apparently not much brighter.
  15. "Has it shocked you, what you saw tonight?" "No"
  16. Nah according to Mowbray we were giving them problems before the red card, despite being 2-0 down after 19 minutes 😂
  17. At least as a result of being ridiculously played as a false 9 by our idiot manager he managed to get off the pitch tonight before the real hammering began.
  18. I can't get over the lack of apology. The brass neck on this bloke. Might as well have thrown up his middle fingers as he walked down the tunnel.
  19. Managers available to Rovers: Tony Mowbray (he's going nowhere)
  20. Even if he doesn't feel like he has any reason to say sorry, logic dictates you apologise to the fans after a home drubbing. He either feels completely untouchable no matter what happens on the pitch, or literally does not give a single fuck about the club or any of the fans.
  21. Lol yeah, although in terms of us shitting our pants at the sight of the playoffs this one will take some beating.
  22. Because in his mind there's nothing to say sorry for - I can guarantee he won't think a single shred of blame falls on him for tonight. He never takes responsibility because is his view it's never his fault.
  23. He knows that as far as his position is concerned it doesn't matter. Owners aren't interested. The fans that are left in the ground are too beaten down to react. Couldn't care less about the fans or humiliating the club.
  24. Working on the assumption this changes nothing for Mowbray - because since when have Venky's ever made a decision that benefits the club? - I wonder if this begins the start of another death spiral? We only just finished the last one ffs.
  25. Yep, it isn't that fucking difficult. Put everyone behind the ball, see the game out. The opposing team won't expend that much energy trying to break the resistance down because they're already assured of a victory and won't want to risk injury or using more energy than is needed. Not our Tony though. Like a rabbit in the headlights, no idea what to do. Joke of a manager.
