£45, now £48 for a walk up absolutely beggars belief. In one of the poorest areas in the country to boot. A new low for our club as far as I’m concerned.

The lack of empathy from those defending the price is alarming as well.

Another sign that we have lost the club. This never happened before Venkys.

Dragging myself to this game.  Missed plenty so far despite having ST. No enthusiasm for it at all.  The 2 I've sat through,  Millwall and Luton, were boring as hell, despite winning one of them.   I've seen no improvement anywhere on the pitch.  Yet we have  returned to the Bowyer side ways and back approach (respect the point bollocks).

Fully expect to lose  - with that big lad causing all kind of probs for our defence.

Fully expect Bennett to be responsible  for one of the goals.

Fully expect Mowbray to make pointless subs.

Fully expect the atmosphere to be shite.

Fully expect that Mowbray will be here next week.

I wasn't going to bother with ST this year.  Unless something dramatically changes in the next 9 months, I wont be going next year.  Completely fallen out of love with it, having followed  since the early 80s.

We had no money in the 80's but we had no debt either and the football was good.

Well maybe you want too or have to but some people. I save up for some away games and some I just paid out of my bank account.

    well done Ashley

allowed families and people to chose the games they want to attend and allow some people to save up. Not everyone will but every people is different

Cos people knew the price before the season. And still want to go and support the club.

you might not want to pay it and if that's the case fair enough but offers to. I bought a couple of tickets for 2 newbies to go to. A friend of the missus wanted to take her daughter to today game. She off of work and the daughter is into Rovers and football. She wasn't bothered the price. I also a couple of people who have bought the 3 game offers as they aren't working those Saturday's when games on.

haven't they done this by offering 3 games for 45 pounds which in my opinion is good value for money.

The pricing for this game alone is disgraceful. See the posts above about all Prem away games £30. Liverpool at home £42.

As I don't make every game I was unsure on getting a season ticket. The Sheffield Wednesday ticket price announcement made my decision. Today I have still bought tickets for my wife and 2 kids to come along. The price is steep, but was communicated. Incidentally it cost £57 for the 3 extra tickets. Its a one off. The Barnsley would be £36 so a much cheaper option.

The price is steep, but it was communicated. What on earth does that mean? It's OK to rip off fans if you tell them beforehand?

Don't especially want to be a Jonah but...

Is it possible that TM will be the straw that breaks the Venk's backing of the club?

'Blow this for a game of soldiers. We can't trust anyone over there to get it right any more. We're off.'

It's going to happen at some point. That's a given.

Just a matter of how and when, imo.

    ?

After dinner at Venkys after Diwali, something along the lines of:

"The people who ripped us off were no good and the nice guys are no good either. We're no good at this game. We should stick to blingy parties with Paris Hilton and try that new lingerie range for larger men".

If you want to see how good marketing works look at Sale Sharks this week. They're not a fashionable club. Less than a minute on the premiership highlights most weeks even if they wipe the floor with the opposition but they know how to cash in on good times. This week Ben Curry has been on Breakfast TV and 5live and would have been on Sportsday but for events at Westminster. Then today they've had breakfast tv at their training ground at Carrington. They're offering free bacon sandwiches to ST holders who turn up tomorrow to watch the World Cup final at the club. And if England win the World Cup they're giving away 100 half season tickets. They have a marketing dept actively seeking opportunities to connect with fans and riding the wave of international player success. Compare with Rovers who seem to miss opportunities to connect with their fans at every possible moment. I know this is a one off opportunity for Sale but they've certainly worked out how to milk it

Waggott: "As a club we've done everything", "There's nothing in the budget".

I'm a season ticket holder and have recently joined the 18 75 club to bring my family to the Sheffield Wednesday match. I learned you only get 1 discounted ticket, I got 15 of an adult but still charged 11 quid each for 2 under 6s. No real saving once you factor in the cost of membership, I saved a fiver. The membership would however be really good if I was not a season ticket holder, I got 5 in club cash and would get 3 quid of match tickets without any increases.

"Club cash" is not cash. It's credit towards overpriced tat in the club shop.

    Bundles have never worked.

I bet singles for £20 (no tax) would have more success than 3 for £45.

You get a free Saturday unexpectedly, you have £20 spare. Ewood! £45 is a big wedge to a lot of people. Lots can't guarantee 3 free Saturdays. Local Combination fixture gets rained off on Saturday.11 lads decide to go to Rovers. Bundle doesn't work.

By the time the Combination team has found out the match category, added the tax and remembered if they are 1875 members, they've probably gone to the pub instead.

I don't think clubs having a membership scheme is such a bad thing but it needs to be made attractive to join. It all gets a bit of a feel of being held to ransom when you look at things like this though.

Buy a season ticket ----  To save because we are going to jack up match day prices.

Buy a membership ----- To save because we are going to jack up matchday prices AND introduce A+ to screw away fans.

Where's the incentive for new Supporters?

Everything is over complicated at Ewood compared to a lot of other Championship clubs not just the football or ownership/running structure.

Take Saturday for example - Local derby, 3pm kick off no jerking around with kick off times, no blaming police. £24 standard match price no faffing with all ticket or cat A+ or whatever.  Pay on the day available and a full end allocated.

No fuss no messing just the way it should be and they are rewarded with nearly 20k, huge for them, massive in fact.

That kind of approach at Ewood would probably see a crowd in excess of 22k . Something a bit more imaginative hopefully drawing in lapsed fans, part timers, neutrals and local kids might see 25k.  Use the fixtures of interest not the run of the mill or dead rubbers etc.

    1875 Club - more complication.

I was gutted leaving Deepdale on Saturday but, as I only go to 1 or 2 away games a season, at least I don't have to put up with that kind of spineless stuff on a more regular basis.

However I feel sorry for those that do. Since we returned to the Championship we have:-

Led at Ipswich on the opening day only to concede in the last minute.

Led at Bristol City only to put in a second half no-show and lose 4-1

Been 3-0 up at Stoke and tried to throw that away.

1-0 up at Swansea and put in a second half no-show to lose 3-1

A shocker at Preston away last year.

A further shocker at Wigan 4 days later.

Been 1-0 up against Middlesboro who had 10 men and still didn't win.

The farce at Leeds where we took the lead in injury time only to lose 3-2

2-0 up at Brentford only to lose 5-2

Dominate the game at Reading. Manage to get an equaliser with 8 minutes left and then conceded immediately.

Get our noses in front at St Andrews with 7 minutes left and then concede immediately.

1-0 up in the first minute at West Brom only to be 3-1 down before half time.

2-0 up at Preston only for a second half no-show and to lose 3-2.

Sorry but it's not normal for a football club for that to all happen in away games in less than 15 months. I've not mentioned the Borunemeouth away game in the league cup or the Birmingham home game which saw similar outcomes. Spineless.

Mind boggling that Tone plied his trade as  a centre-half.

I'd forgotten about that debacle at Leeds until I read that.

Depend if the person was a member at the start of the season doesn't it.

Waggott has explained why it so high. Sheff Wed charged us similar prices last season as I paid it.

I have already expresses my concerns over the prices of food and drinks plus prices of games But @only2garners said he would take some of our ideas of this forum to the next fan forum meeting.

Also the prices of all games were announce before the season started some fans know the prices for 3 months

It's not right whichever way you dress it up. The fans forum is a waste of time. Rovers executives are quite capable of reading this board themselves.
